It's a poor sort of memory. . ''Y-yeah. . '' Rakutsu studdered. She slid her left arm out of it's sling, Slowly lifting it. Raku started concentrating most of her chakra on her arm. she bit her lip as she flexed it. There was a small ache in the joint where it was attached. Of course she was due for her pills right about now. Rakutsu bowed her head as if she was silently apologizing to both Lady Kage and Dr Shouta. . .That only works backwards.

A light rapping came at the door of the Mizukage's office. The worn figure of the Hokage stood with a smile, holding a small knotted wood cane rubbed smooth by years of use. A sweet smile blessed her lips and her skin was kissed by the passage of time. In her other hand she lightly grasped a small disk-like object cloaked in a red checkerboard pattern.

Her eyes narrowed. "Shouta...." she said in a low voice, slowly filling with menace. "Did you give her a prosthetic arm?"
"I did." he spoke bluntly.
"Is it the type I think it is."
"Yes." he waited for the explosion.....
"Hm....hm..." she closed her eyes. When they Opened... "ARE YOU MAD!!! YOU PUT KIRIGAKURE TECHNOLOGY IN THE HANDS OF FORIEGN SHINOBI!!"
"She needed a prosthetic!" he yelled back, defensively. Memories of their childhood together came flooding back. He cringed as she bellowed her drunken rage at him.
"YOU COULD HAVE GIVEN HER A TRADITIONAL ONE!!" she jolted up, slamming up her hands on the desk, sending her chair flying into the wall.
"Traditional ones aren't functional! It would just be in the way for her!"
"THEN LET HER WALK AROUND WITH A NUB!!!"
"She's a ninja. Living with one arm can be kinda difficult for shinobi!" he said sarcastically.
"NOT MY SHINOBI- NOT MY PROBLEM!!" She glared daggers at him and growled- "Give me one reason I shouldn't beat your a** to hell right now!" with a devious little smirk he walked up to her and whispered something in her ear. Her eyes widened a moment, then narrowed again. She slammed her fist into his stomache. With a grunt he staggered backwards. But he kept his smile. "You b*****d..." she grumbled. Nyirei pulled her chair back up and the Mizukage slumped back in it. "Whatever. I'll allow it. You set the seals right?"
Shouta was tempted to say- 'Not that you can do much about it now.' but decided that was the last thing he should do! "Of course."
"She signed the contract?"
"Yes. And, beacuse of the proceedure she owes quite a bit of money."
"And how do you intend to pay us back?" she said, stareing at Rakutsu with a disgruntled look. Not angry, just disgruntled.

"I do hope I'm not interrupting anything..." Yoko said with a kind, knowing smile as she opened the door to alert the others to her presence.
In her mind she was milling over the way the Mizukage treated her subordinates and foreign shinobi.
While Yoko herself was not particularly fond of foreign shinobi walking around- at least she had the courtesy not to announce it so bluntly to the entire world... how crude.

It's a poor sort of memory. . Rakutsu jumped when the Mizukage addressed her. ''If you both would let me, I would like to work off my debt. I promise i won't rest until it's payed off.'' Rakutsu said with a calm and sincere look on her face. ''I'm sorry. . I'll work hard, so i can leave and be out of your hair.'' Her voice adopted a low tone. . .That only works backwards.

kenshin knocked on the door of the mizukage with the back of his left hands knuckle,with his right snug into his right pocket--leaning on the doorframe was his hooked weapon....."may i enter?" he said from behind the door with a cool facial expression.

Disobey me....  Suijin's eyes snapped up at the old woman. At first she was surprised, then her eyes took on a darker expression. "As a matter of fact- you are." she said bluntly. Shouta turned around, his eyes hardening as he did. "But it can wait. I'm sorry Rakutsu, but I'll need to ask you to step out for a while. Please, just wait back at the hospital with Shouta. I'll send for you again later." Shouta just nodded. "Come Rakutsu." once the door behind them was closed he said. "Sorry, the Mist doesn't have very good history with Leaf. Meetings like this... take priority." he was obviously very unnerved by the Hokage's appearance in the village. His eyes remained filled with anger, discontent and he seemed overly eager to get away from that woman. "Well Lady Hokage, I recieved word that you were on your way to my village -though unannounced- but I don't yet know why. Care to explain yourself there?" she said, folding her hands and resting her chin on them. Her son had remained in the room, though silent. He sat on the edge of her desk, eyeing the old woman suspiciously. He was still soaked in semi-dry blood and there were a few flecks of intestineal mush in his hair.

The Hokage regarded the kage of the Mist with a disproving eye. Her lips pressed tight together but she retained her calm demeanor,
"You seem at home at the reigns of a village like yours..." Suggested the Hokage, "I merely came to see who inherited our unfortunate feud in hopes of finding someone receptive to the plans for peace your predecessor agreed to." She explained coldly as she took a seat and placed her hands in her lap. Her posture was perfect, her worldly poise was undefinable but omnipresent- presenting a picture of both worldly wisdom and ethereal grace in one portrait of a lady.

Disobey me.... The Mizukage took the same composure she bore when first addressing the Snow refugees. She became a presence demanding respect, an entity of power. First, speaking to Kenshin- "I can assure you they are in quite capable hands. But if you must, you may 'keep an eye on them' for the time being." she said, clearly displeased with him for barging in while she was speaking to the Hokage. Then addressing the Hokage's statement- "A village like mine..... I'm sorry, you're going to have to brief me on these 'plans of peace.' I'm afraid my predecessor failed to leave anything behind on such matters." As she spoke, she motioned with her hand for Mizuchi to giver her something. Though she made no indication of what she wanted was, Mizuchi knew exactly what she wanted. He handed his mother one of the bottles of sake sitting beside him on the desk. Uncorking it, she took a drink. .....at your peril.

It's a poor sort of memory. . Rakutsu nodded her head slowly. She felt she was in no place what so ever to say anything at all. She glanced at Doctor Shouta. Seeing how upset he looked. Rakutsu's head hung very low. ''I understand, I'm sorry'' Was all she could say. . .That only works backwards.

The Hokage nodded, almost apologetically, "Your predecessor signed his consent to join the Uzumaki Alliance when all preparations have been made and the Kages of all the Hidden Villages have signed the document and are in agreement with the terms. The Alliance is a mutual peace treaty that would establish a jointly run organization that would be a standing peacekeeping army between hidden villages to prevent the outbreak of wars... something I fear we are both all to familiar with..."
There was condensation in the way she talked, like she was explaining the simplest thing to the slowest child in the class. Still she was the picture of composure despite wanting to laugh at the ill-tempered tramp for not even knowing the the Uzumaki Alliance was... she sure hoped that the poor wretch knew about the Tengu...

kenshin glanced over to rakutsu and he had felt something for a breif moment he had never felt before.....
aswell as he hung his head down at this action....toy on the other hand thought sitting up against kenshins minds left eye --"ho-ho....looseing your cool over a girl kenshin....how unlike you...." and he perked up his ear and raised his head smiling insanely "war?....hmm i think ill listen to this....."

Disobey me.... Her eyes darkened more and more, narrowing ever so slightly. Despite that, she tried to keep her voice level and as polite as her drunk-as-sin mind would allow her. Though, Suijin REALLY didn't like the way she was speaking to her. 'So that's what it is....' she thought. "Oh, yeah. I've heard of them. Sounds like a load of bullshit to me." 'and I don't just mean the treaty you high-and-mighty old p***k!' The Mizukage had read Kiri's information on her, and was less than impressed. Not only that, but she had found the old woman had taken part in many attacks against Kiri in the past. 'Why would you want peace between us?' she growled in her head. .....at your peril.
