I had to explain how I knew you, and the subject of wives came up previous... I don't know! Zen told Angela and teleported himself ahead of the direction Riddic was going in.
"Isn't a prince supposed to bow out before leaving?" He asked, sighing and wondering how long he'd have to stalk this boy.

And here I was hoping it was just some sort unexpressed desire, Angela teased mentally as she ran after them. And...didn't you consider stopping to get me before just poofing ahead like that? Or do you like watching me try to run in these shoes without killing myself?

Riddic refused to look back, despite Angela calling to him. He didn't want people to know who he was working for, especially these strange people. Zen had already found out about his regalia...
Suddenly, he ran into something, or rather, someone, and toppled over them. This caused a painful muscle spasm to erupt on his left leg, which, in turn, caused him to cry out in pain. Too busy focused on the pain on his leg, he didn't realize he had ran right into Zen and was now laying on top of him.

Angela was starting to get a bit angry. Not only did Riddic ignore her but Zen also abandoned her and these damn shoes were annoying as hell.
She decided to take the shoes off and had taken to hopping on her right foot while trying to unfasten the straps on her left shoe. She was so focused on that she wasn't watching where she was going. Truly brilliant of her really.
And that was why she didn't notice Riddic smash into Zen and both of them tumble to the ground. So she promptly tripped over their sprawling legs and landed on top of Riddic...who was on top of Zen.
She lay stunned for a moment and then spoke.
"Well, this is certainly a change from the norm."

Zen got flattened, and was being smoothered in cape and Riddic's clothes. "At least I stopped him right? I would've poofed you too but you ran off first!" Zen yelled, muffled in fabric and people ontop of him. He squirmed trying to get out.

Riddic had let out another cry when Angela had fallen on top of him, He quickly squirmed to get out from under Angela, and only then realized he was on top of Zen. He barely managed to get out, yet immediately held his leg in pain, keeps his eyes clenched shut. It was quite obvious he wasn't feeling very well. "Damnit..."

Angela managed to stand up and quickly touched Riddic's arm. "Are you alright?" she asked worriedly. She bit her lip, worried that she'd hurt him. "I'm still not very good at healing people but I can probably take the pain away. If you'll let me."
You could have gotten me and then taken us both ahead, she pointed out to Zen over their mental link. And...er...sorry I fell on you. Just think of it as revenge for the first time we met.

But you would've been there by the time I got you.... Zen shrugged.
He could help relieve the pain, but he was feeling a bit cruel at the moment--he disliked monarchs, and he disliked ones with dealings with gods.. and most of all he disliked ones that weren't cooperative. The prince wasn't in mortal danger, from what he could tell, he'd live.
"So Prince, I can make you feel better if you feel like explaining something." Zen took the opportunity to be mean.

Riddic glared at Zen, albeit a bit weakly. "I'd rather have Angela do it than tell you anything!"

"Good grief, would you two stop bickering like old women?" Angela said, rolling her eyes. She looked at Zen and shook her head slightly. She didn't know what was up with him but he was acting very pissy at the moment. "You don't have to tell us anything Riddic," she said. "But neither of us is here to do any harm. I truly meant it when I said that. We want to help you but that's difficult to do without any information."
She knelt in front of the prince and placed her hands out in front of her, taking a breath and then exhaling slowly to gather her thoughts and focus. She then traced a symbol in the air and gently pushed it against Riddic's leg, using it as a medium to draw the pain out of him and into herself.
It wasn't exactly a healing spell but it should make him feel better. Of course, she'd feel bloody awful afterward but that was beside the point at the moment.

Riddic watched Angela warily, unsure of what exactly she was doing, but when the pain suddenly washed away, he was so very much relieved. Rubbing his leg slightly, he smiled at her. "Thank you, I do very much appreciate... whatever you have just done." At this point, he was choosing to completely ignore Zen.

Angela smiled up at him, relieved to see that he didn't seem to be angry--at least not at her anymore. A smile was a good thing. Perhaps he'd trust her a little more.
On the other hand she was in a rather lot of pain suddenly, which was not so pleasant. She considered trying to stand but opted for sitting still since it was easier to ignore the sudden, extremely intense pain in her leg.
"You're welcome," she told Riddic. "I'm glad it worked. I'm not still not particularly good at that technique."

Riddic smiled at Angela before turning to look at Zen. "Now, exactly what is it you wanted me to explain? I cannot guarantee you an answer, of course."

"How're you not sick?" Zen quarked his head, which he managed to pull his cloak off of finally.

"I don't really mean to be a bother," Angela said a bit sheepishly. "But I wonder if, while you continue your discussion, one of you might help me up? I'm not quite sure I can actually stand on my own just now."
