Elistral nodded and placed the tube behind her ear like a pencil, slipping it under the hair band to hold it in place. A section of her hair hid it from anyone who looked at it directly. "Thanks for...helping me." She said, padding after Strider and glancing back at the elf leaving who gave her the tube thing. "Does my mom have anything to do with the demons that kidnapped her?"

"Not really. Though I think it has something to do with your father." -Strider made a staff appear in a purple light and the staff turned into a sword. Strider started to cut the limbs in his way-

Elistral walked around the cut branches, thinking briefly that they'd make good firewood before speaking again. "My father? But, he hasn't been home in about a year or so, he's a traveler." She paused before she went on. "Actually, really more of a bard. He says he can't stand being in one place for too long."

-He cut a large branch in one slice- "Yes I know. I knew your father." -He continued to cut limbs-

"You do?" Elistral slipped a hand into her pocket and brought out her brooch, looking at it. Her father had given it to her a couple years ago when he came back for a short while, before he left again. "Are you one of his friends? He talked a lot about a few of them."

"Um, okay then..." Elistral stood on the hill, looking at the landscape. Mountains could be seen in the distance, some close and some far, rising up out of the trees of the big forest. Smoke rose from the side of one of them, climbing slowly into the sky. Little black dots could be seen moving around at times, and some even lifted up off the ground. "What's that? It looks like a camp." She pointed with a finger at the mountain.

"Yes it is. Thats where we shall find your mother. If we don't catch them tonight they'll move on over the mountains and into the dark lands and that is no place for a young child even with me there." -I look at Elistral- "Are you ready to run?"

Elistral bit back a retort, that she'd be able to handle it, but she pushed it aside. It was probably better not to ask or anything, there were plenty of stories of what existed over the mountains. A beautiful land until something had ruined it, casting sulfur into the higher air and almost completely blocking out the sun. But, her mother was in danger right now, and that's what mattered. She nodded at Strider. "Yeah, I'm ready."

"The hop on my back I think I run faster then you do." -He turned around so Elistral could get up onto his back-

"Probably, my legs are too short until I get older. Then I'll be able to run faster than I can now." Elistral said, tying her sword on her back with the belt attached to its sheath. She stepped back a little and jumped onto Strider's back, hooking her hands around his neck to hold on better.

Orcus followed Strider. He walked so he was be hours if not days behind them but how close he was didn't matter.
