"Sero..." Thorn muttered as they reached the man. "I'm not sure about this human." She backed up a few feet and growled at the man. She was filled with a sudden rage and her eyes became liquid fire. She tried to fight but she could not find herself. Thorn charged at the human and sunk her teeth into his leg. She whipped her head back and forth sinking her teeth in deep. And then turned towards Sero. She snarled at him and took a step forward. A feirce wind began howling sending snow blowing over the two wolves and the man. She realized what she was doing and shook her head. Her eyes became soft. "Sero... I'm sorry." Thorn said, in a choked voice.

 " Oh Kona it was awful." Ryu howled. His eyes grew wider, and shoke they seemed to being staring but at nothing. The wolf stagered to his feet. " Down in a clearing," His vioce seemed to have a hint a sadness and crying in it." A moutian Lion, she ...She ..she lay dead?!" The black wolf stared at her shaking, every second his body would go into a small spazim. Only the shaking would not stop, "it's not even the worst of it." He stared down to the ground,his gaze seemed to be deny the fact that he might not make it next time he went out. " She had been cut open, blood dripping and found in a pool...... There was nothing left inside her. She seemed to be running away even in death. The thing that made me scared was that the thing that did it was stil around the body."  Ryu finished, his body was shaking less as time went on, the shock of what he saw seemed to flutter away. " Kona I was out walking for abit to get some fresh air. Is it wrong to do that?" the wolf said " I think we may have something else to worry about along with the fear of the Bloodfire." His fur began to lie flat again and his legs only ached when the shaking stopped. " Nothing has happened to me, i am completely fiiine " He felt sudden chil go up his spine, " What is going on here?" he thought looking back to the entrance of the camp " Surely it could not have followed me all the way here."

 Sero stood in shock for a second as he saw Thorn bite the professor's leg. The professor cringed in pain as he dragged himself up on a chair. "Oh my..." he said to himself as he motioned for another colleague to come to him, "She has already begun the stages. Mike, I'm sorry to tell you to do this, but we need to put her to sleep with a tranquilizer. You have the gun already, so do it."
Mike walked up to both of the wolves and injected them with the tranq fluid and stood by the professor to tend to his wounds. The professor smiled weakly as the pain still persisted in throbs. "Well, at least I had my anti-bodies for the humans, so it is only a flesh wound. Jake! Come over here and take the male up first. Get Sarah to tend to the femme. She should be out in a second," the professor commanded.
Sero's vision grew burry as the tranpuilizer began to take effect. "They are not... bad... people..." Sero's voice slurred as he fell over, now falling into a deep sleep.
Jake grabbed the male carefully and placed him on the table. He made safe measures and picked out the Blood Fire, known to the humans as rabies, anti-bodies for the wolves. the human took the jar and put it into the cartridge that went to the needle to give to the brute. He inserted the needle into Sero's abdomen and injected the anti-bodies into his blood stream. "There, now that the anti-bodies have been injected, he should have a 1/1000 chance of the disease taking over," Jake said to himself. He talks aloud a lot.
Sarah stood by the professor as she waited for Thorn to pass out herself. Sero, who was passed out, had a peaceful look on his face. He knew that these humans would save him. If he could communicate with them too, then he could save the other wolves too. Sero just hoped that he could get the humans there in time.

Kona felt acid bubble in her stomach at Ryu's words. He kept glancing over his shoulder as he spoke, and suddenly a chill went up his back, making his ebony fur stand on end. Kona looked intently into the darkening forest, seeing nothing, but getting fearful all the same. Something capable of frightening, let alone killing a mountain lion was a force she did not want to reckon with.
She checked to make sure Star was safely burrowed in the den. A scent was just beyond her reach, she cursed as she realized the silent intruder was downwind. She lowered her voice. "Ryu. What ever killed that lion seems to have followed you back to camp." her heart began to beat faster. Without Blood and Sero's brute force, and Thorn's tactics, the pack was a weak cohesive unit. And who's to say the creature that killed the lion wouldn't bring Blood Fire back into the pack? Her body tensed. "Ryu, we better get ready".

Aveia tilted her head to the side and watched as the other pack wolves tirckled into cap.She lay down by the edge of the den and watched with intrest.With Konas words to Ryu she stood."I can help as well." She barked, waiting.Than thinking she said more quietly, "Or I can watch Star."

"What?!..." Thorn said, as her vision became blurred. She saw a human standing over her and started whimpering. She was flung into a momentary panic and pulled herself off of the table. She snarled at the human and snapped at her but could not find the enemy anywhere. She fell turned her head and saw Sero. He trusted these people but she did not. Thorn felt as if she were floating away and she growled until she was completely asleep.

"But Kona what are we going to do, i do not even know what did that?" Ryu gasped trying to regain the air in his lungs. The wolf slowly back to his feet. When her wors entered his ears about it following him her stood there staring back at the entrance, his eyes growing wider and his tail getting bushier. " Kona I made sure nothing followed me back to camp, cause it was still around the body of the lion."
His paws slowly pushed themselves back away from the entrance. Each step his legs would quuiver from what ever was laying in wait outside. The black wolf felt worthless inside, he already had to worry about the black fire, and now this other threat now loaming over them waiting until one was left alone to strike. " Kona if it came here to follow me, let me be the one to distract it and lead it away from the camp. For your lives are more precious than mine." He gave a weak smile for Ryu knew that those words were more heoric than he was thinking right now. " I know that i will be missed in the pack if i die but it would be for the greater good to see you live in the heavens above." Ryu walked over to her, and placed his tail over hers. The wolf then stood before her, " I will never forget you or what you did for me here."

(I'm BACK! HI)
Star listened to the terrorfing story. She steped out of the den and howled, "Please let me help! I feal so usless!"She lokked around the camp. She spotted her father. "DAD!" Star said shocked.
Blood heard the terrifing story and rushed up to Kona. He said, "Let me fight this monster. I'm imune to Bloodfire now that I had it. We can't risk you guys geting it."

Kona was so confused, her heart torn. She moved closer to Ryu and touched noses. "Ryu, don't be scared. We can take this thing, whatever it is. Another wolf need not lose his life tonight." she said. She smiled briefly and stepped forward to stand beside him. She glanced at Blood. "We may need your strength for this battle, Blood, but your behavior in the woods was unacceptable." Kona straightened up, she would no longer be a weak alpha, her chest swelled with determination. "We will decide whether you will return to the pack when Sero and Thorn return. Aveia, Star should be safe in the den, and we may need all the help we can get." She nodded to Ryu. "Should we call it out?" she asked. "I am tired of running, tired of letting my pack get hurt, tired of pain and suffering, and of letting others fight my battles for me. I will fight this lurker, and if I am killed, I ask you to take care of the pack Ryu." She turned her head to the forest and growled deep in her throat. Life or death, she was ready.

"I know what I did was unexceptible, I know I can never be alpha again, and I know I was weak and stupid, but right now I am NOT going to let you all chagre in there and get youselves KILLED!!!! If ANYONE is going to fight that monster it is going to be ME! I might not even end up being a part of this pack any more. I have a reson to go out and do something dangerous like that!" Blood howled. He stood up towering over Kona.
Star heard what was happening. She rush out of the den and up to Kona. "I am NOT going to sit here whaile my pack risks their lives!!!! Do you understand me?!?" Star growled.
(btw I created a new rp and I would love it if some of you joined it!)

Sarah smiled softly as she finally saw Thorn pass out. With a tiny grunt, the human female lifted the femme back onto the table. Jake handed her the syringe, already having a new capsule of anti-bodies in the cartridge. She gladly accepted it and inserted the needle into the same area as when Jack did it to Sero. Slowly, but surely, the anti-bodies were inserted into Thorn's blood system and Sarah pulled out the syringe once all of it was in her. Both Jack and Sarah backed away from the wolves and towards the professor, who looked at both of them in satisfaction. "Now, all we have to do is wait," the professor said in a hushed tone, waiting for the two wolves to wake up.
Hours passed, then days, until finally, after a week and two days, Sero opened his eyes. There was still a small band-aid for where the syringe was inserted into his abdomen. He rotated his head to see Thorn, who was still resting. She also had a band-aid on her abdomen, meaning that she recieved the anti-bodies too. They were lying by each other, in the corner of the human facility. The professor was treating another wounded animal when he saw the brute finally wake. "AH!" he exclaimed as he limped over to them, the injury from Thorn still persisting in his leg, "You are finally up! I was waiting for some time. It seems like the dosage of the tranquilizer was a bit strong, so I eased up on the dosage for future animals. Do you feel any better?"
Sero looked at the professor and nodded. The urges of the Blood Fire were now weak, the anti-bodies fighting the disease furiously. The brute then turned to Thorn and nudged her lightly, trying to wake her up. "Come on Thorn. Wake up, so we can lead these guys to the forest..."

"Kona, why would you chosse me? Out of everyone else here i feel as if i am not ready for you to go." He said to the alpha. "But i will try." he gave a smile before he headed toward the entrance to wait for the thing to come,
he was far enough away that whatever lay in wait, he could see and aviod the attack i f nessacary. His heart at the moment was mixedd up, fear, love, comfort, sorrow were pushining at the walls of his being. The wolf Knew he would care if some wolf died heere today but it would kmake the pack alittle stronger in the long run. The hairs on his hackles rose, making him look bigger, his muzzle went up in a growl, and his tail got bushher as he waited there for it to strike. After a few moments nothing seemed to be moving from the entrance to camp. " Kona I think it wants us to go to it. I believe it is smart and waits for the prey to go to the hunter." He ran up to her and whispered so the beast could not hear him. " We need to find away around so we can suprise attack it. catch it off guard so we can beat it." He turned his head back to the entrance.

Blood walked up to Ryu and stated, "I'll be the bait. I'll run out of the camp and then run back in. You can attack it when I come back or howl ok. I need to do this. I'll be fine." Blood said to Ryu looking determinded.

Thorn's eyes fluttered opened. She felt very strange. "...What?..." she asked, very disoriented. She stood up shakily and fell back on the ground. She glanced around and saw the humans. She growled slightly and barked at them. Then her gaze turned to Sero. She stood again and sneezed. "Where are we?" she wondered aloud, having no idea what had happened.

Kona quieted, listening to Ryu's words, then Blood's. Kona's eyes narrowed at Blood's plan. Her hackles went up and she growled deep in her throat. She was unsure. Allowing Blood to lure the monster out seemed the best way to proceed, but she was still afraid of backing down from her earlier statements. She snapped once at Blood, then turned to Ryu, opening her mouth to ask him. She shut it just as fast. She was alpha, and she would decide. Her tail swished back and forth as she forced herself to weigh the situation.
Then, she stepped forward, but he kept her voice low. "Blood, you run into the woods, allow it to come after you. Keep it close behind you and lead it Southwest from here. That will place Ryu and myself downwind. When we scent it, we'll close in from either flank." She turned to Ryu. "I think it's worth a shot".
((So, since Ryu isn't telling us what the beast is (>D mwaha! I love it!) Iceears, you should phrase your post so that the creature begins to chase you, but you still don't know what it is. Ryu, I ask when you post that you bring my character along. Have her run with you, then I can respond from there ^_^[my hiatus is swiftly approaching, and my posts will soon become pretty delayed =[
PS, I don't hate you Iceears, I <3 ya, but Kona's got to grow up XD ))
