Hobbling slowly down the path, the elderly man made his way towards Lorelei and her wagon. He leaned heavily on his cane, limping on a bad leg, his back bent over from years of bad posture. Though he looked like a crotchety old hunchback, once the man raised his head to knock on the door of the wagon, you could see the kindness in his eyes.
[ok?]

Lorelei jumped up from where she'd been waiting, sitting on a small seat attached to the wagon wall. She hurried over to the door and opened it, expecting to find some imposing, powerful-looking exorcist.
Instead, she got a little old man.
"... hello?" she asked, slightly uncertain. "Are you... are you the help I sent for?"

"Yes, Miss, I believe I am...I have been called for and have come..." He pushed the hood of his cloak back, "Am I not who you were expecting?" His white hair sparkled was brilliant and his eyes were bright blue, "...I'm Koran." Reaching out his hand, he smiled at Lorelei, hoping that she would still accept his help.

"Not quite, but I shouldn't judge by appearances. I'm Lorelei." Smiling, she took his hand before stepping back so he could enter if he wished. "I have a bit of a... ghost... problem," she said, sheepishly. "Can you help? I'm afraid to bring my daughter back here before the ghost is gone."
Daughter? The woman had to be eighteen or nineteen, at the most! Oh, those gypsies... (( blaugh ))

Koran entered the wagon and removed his cloak. He then removed a large belt from his waist that contained different vials and other paraphernalia. "I will do my best to rid you of this ghost as soon as I can, Miss Lorelei...I am very experienced in this sort dealings...You and Your daughter should be safe in no time." He gave her a warm smile and then pulled out a small book, opening it and flipping through the pages. "What sort of ghost? What can you tell me about it?"

"I first saw it when I opened an old box that had been stuffed under the bed. I found this wagon a month or so ago in a forest, in a sort of... stasis. It was a reward for helping a trader by the side of the road.
"I can't actually see the ghost except in mirrors." She got down on her knees, rummaging around, under the bed. Soon, she pulled out the mirror in question. "It shows up as a mask, with nothing else behind it. It didn't seem intentionally frightening at first, but when I asked that it leave, it picked up a letter opener as if to threaten me..."

"Appears only in refletions...yet physically picks up things?...Sounds like a poltergeist to me..." Koran scratched his chin and flipped through the book again, "But...there's something not right about this one...I would normally recommend smashing all mirrors and preforming a cleansing prayer over the wagon. But with the physical threat...that changes everything."

"It does?" Lorelei asked, cradling the mirror in her hands. "Does it just make it more dangerous, or...?"
Biting her lower lip, the girl hazarded a glance down at the polished glass. Something in her was rebelling at the thought of destroying her... 'guest,' but the other side, the maternal side, fought down the urge to send the man away.

"Poltergeist Ghosts are far more stubborn...Less likely to leave with something simple. They can be dangerous, especially if antagonized. You already said that it threatend you once. We wouldn't want that to happen again." Koran placed the book down and picked up a large vial of blessed Holy Water. He bit his lip and rubbed the back of his neck, then handed it to Lorelei, "But...We will start with this and see where it takes us. Wash the face of the mirror...and any others in the wagon...with this." As Lorelei did so, Koran picked up the book again and began to quietly chant an old Celtic prayer, holding his hand up and waving it around the wagon.

Lorelei nodded, dragging her eyes off of the mirror. She unstoppered the bottle and dripped the holy water onto the glass, moving it around with her fingers. Then she sought out the one or two other mirror-like objects and washed them the same way. That done, she stood waiting for further instructions, beginning to shake like a leaf.

"Can you see it anymore?" Koran lower his hand and then looked at Lorelei. Noticing her nerves, he limped over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her."Are you going to be alright, Miss?"

The presence woke from its rest, quickly noticing an unwelcome newcomer in his wagon. Hearing of their plans for exorcism, it lay quietly in the corner. So far they seemed to be doing a rather passive exorcism which he could just wait out, as he had done with with all the previous exorcisms.
However, it saw something being rubbed on his mirror. Not wanting the girl to get too cocky, it decided to make anotherappearance to the girl and put her in her place. It wandered over to the mirror and waited for the girl to pick it up. He got an odd feeling eminating from the mirror, but shrugged it off. Who knew what the old man was doing to his wagon.

Glancing back down at the mirror, she yelped. "He's there," she whispered, glancing up at the man. "I'll... I'll be fine... I'm just... scared..."

Koran grumbled and gave the girl a one armed hug before hobbling back to look at his things. "I guess we'll have to be a little less passive...Lorelei...Does the ghost have a name?" He picked up another vial and opened his book to a different page.
[so sorry, bad timing since trin just joined in, but i gotta go for a little bit...i'll be back soon though to pick up]

"Not that I know," she murmured. "He can't talk, and I haven't really tried to find out..."
