"NO!" Nino screamed. "Uncle Canas!" He'd been hit. Nino slid to the ground and picked up his Monocle. Without a heal staff this was all she could do for him. "Uncle Canas!" She yelled over the noise of the fighting. "We have to retreat! We're dying out here and you're hurt! We can't go back to the mansion but I bet we can make it to the castle. We have to run!"

"Hey you in the purple and Blue! Catch!!!" Shinon yelled and threw a staff at Nino. "That should help you sufficiently!" Shinon Climbed a tree and started picking off morphs that were attacking everyone. "Sheesh how many are there?" He muttered to himself.

Jin nodded in thanks towards Shinon, then picked himself up and just started to run forward again when...
"Nyurrrgh!"
He hopped on one leg, leaning against a tree, clearly in pain. His right foot! He couldn't stand on it! It must've been when he was running from the morphs... he'd tripped over a fallen root and landed awkwardly on his foot. He hadn't noticed at the time, but now the pain was snaking its way to his brain with the message, "Sorry, but I'm afraid we're temporarily unavailable for stepping with. Come back at another time."
Retreat? Yeah, that sounded like a good option to him. HOW? He was crippled! He couldn't get out of here unless somebody helped him hobble off!

After fighting for a while, Kain pulled back up. Neither of them had been significantly injured, though both had minor scrapes and bruises. From the air, the pair could see everything that was going on. But one event caught their attention- One of their allies, that strange druid from before, had been wounded.
"What do you think, Kain?" Valter asked his friend and ally. Kain automatically knew what to do, as he dived toward the raven. They were too far away, however, as Castello abandoned the druid and went after Sue. The wyvern knew that the nomad was a good friend of Valter's, so he pushed the limits of his strength to lunge straight at their legendary Laguz enemy.

Sue managed to brace through the vortex spell, but she wasn't given time to dodge the beak of the Raven heading straight for her. She got knocked right off Anri's back, now suffering a deep pierce wound like she'd never known. Fighting Laguz wasn't her strong suit, as she wasn't really trained to do it.
Rearing in the air, Andre was going absolutely crazy. The steed ran in aimless directions without having the steering of his rider... confused and alone as his nomad master was still on the ground, writhing in pain.
On the other side of the battle, Leon was just near where Jin seemed to be in a lot of trouble. He didn't hear any protesting from the crippled man if there was any, and instead decided to scoop him up from the danger of the battlefield. "Ya don't look like ya can move. But I can move no matter what kinda weight's on me. We gotta run by the looks of it... there's just too many of 'em."
After just a few seconds of laying flat on the ground, Sue sprang up, despite her injury, and grabbed her horse's reigns before he could go any further. "Andre... calm down... we have to get out of here... I.. I can't..." The nomad reached in her pouch for one last elixir... and drank it to stay alive. She then mounted him slower than usual. "Everyone! Head for the castle, we'll be better off inside those walls!"

"Dang it! Filthy sub humans!" Shinon spat. He put his Silencer away and brought out his Double Bow. "Time to kill some filth," Shinon aimed at the Laguz attacking his allies. He threw an arrow into the air jumped and caught the arrow, nocked his bow and let the arrow shoot free. right into the Laguz"s forehead.

Uncle Canas "Ugh. Don't Worry Nino. Uncle Canas will protect us all," Canas said, attempting a smile past the pain. He Took a staff that he had strapped to his back. Sue was a bit of a distance off, so he had used the psychic staff to reach her. "I must protect another now, Please be safe Nino."
With that he ran towards Sue, His tome already in hand as he dropped the staff to the ground. " You there, Raven in the Sky! Your soul is mine, Fight me!" He began the incantation as he ran forward, concentrating hard on his target, and at the same time moving steadily closer to Sue.
Then he heard the order. "Retreat!"
He turned and spotting Ninian among the confusion, He Picked her up gently. "Forgive me Milady, but we must make haste."

Annis turned away from her target as his head fell off of his neck, cleanly cut with a pair of strokes from her knives. There was a heavy wind; not targeted to her, but close enough to nearly blow her back in the sky. Annis climbed a little higher to avoid the melee weapons, resulting a quick dodge of a flying arrow. There was a large bird laguz now diving towards the ground, arrowing for the green-haired woman from before while she stumbled in the aftereffects of his attack.
Only seen one other laguz here, and if that's him...! Annis thought, gritting her teeth. She pulled herself into a long line, wings flapping rapidly as she tried to catch up to the transformed laguz. She was fast with her wings, faster than any ground-locked beorc or laguz and on par with most mounts, but a transformed bird was enough to overtake her in most cases. But this was different. That woman was dead if no one reached that raven in time.
But to attack that thing? Suicide... Annis managed to get her daggers back in their holsters before diving down low to the ground. Her arms reached out for the poor writhing woman. Without pausing or even slowing her momentum, she scooped Sue off of the ground.
Well, she would have if that woman hadn't leaped up so suddenly, and Annis practically hit the dirt, sputtering as she got a mouthful of grass. "Dammit!" She shouted, pulling herself to her hands and knees, wings folding to her back to reduce their target potential as the nomad shouted.
"Everyone! Head for the castle, we'll be better off inside those walls!"
Annis cast her gaze to the castle, then to the great laguz beast still flying in that battlefield. Would they really be safe if that thing was still around? Annis stood and started to fly, taking out a nearby archer before he could aim his arrow. She couldn't fight Ca-- that beast, but she could sure as hell wait for an opening to at least inflict some damage...

" Maybe that's the reason why" "You can't ever fly..." Cαsτειιo "Take away the blue..." ______________ Castello brushed off the attacks that flew at him like they were nothing, breaking in his battling wings and--
"You there, Raven in the sky! Your soul is mine, fight me!" Castello ignored this challenge. It wasn't attacking him. The target in front of his eyes was Kain, whose charge he narrowly dodged, countering by tearing at his wings with his talons as he passed. He began to turn, moving to give chase--
"Filthy sub-humans!"
Rage bubbled up in Castello's mind, frothing over what had been merely a lack of self-control. He shot straight up, feeling Shinon's arrow pass through his tail feathers as he fired Vortexes indiscriminately at the sniper. The tree in which Shinon sat exploded with the force of the wind that struck it.

Ninian heard Sue's cry for retreat and did not stop to think. But before she could run, Canas swept her up, carrying her to what she hoped was safety.
"Roy!" she called, eyes searching for her son. "Roy?!"
She couldn't see him; they'd been separated in the chaos. The panic fought to overwhelm her, but there was nothing more she could do. Nothing except let herself be carried to safety. Let herself be protected. She was always the once being protected.

Oujay stopped and turned as he heard the words "Retreat". He didn't argue with the orders that were yelled out. He turned around and started running in the direction all the others were running in. "Hopefully we can have a better chance at the castle," he thought as he kept on running. Oujay did not even thinking about looking back.

Uncle Canas As Ninian began to scream for her son, Canas attempted to reassure her. "Milady, Roy will be Fine," He said gently, with the Same, unchangingly soft smile frome years before. "Roy Will be fine. He is A fighter. Like his father before him. He will not let anything harm you. You have to put faith in him. Yes, he is your son, but he is also a leader. He will not fall so easily."

Shinon just has he landed had a split second to jump as he saw Castello's attack coming towards him. Shinon leapt and the attack made the tree explode, the blast made him fly farther than he intended to go missing the point where he was supposed to land. "Grk!" Shinon doubled over and vomited. He quickly got up and hid in a thicket and tried to catch his breath.

Kain let out an ear-splitting cry as Castello tore a long gash in his right wing. It wasn't very wide, and Kain could still fly, but just barely. They both knew a fight against the legendary raven would only last minutes, if not seconds. But that's all that their allies needed.
The two decided to launch one last, ditch effort against the Laguz warrior, knowing that they would have to retreat very, very soon. "Alright, Kain," Valter muttered. "One last attack, then we get out of here."
They lunged one last time. It didn't matter if they hit their mark or not, as long as they kept Castello away from their friends.
