"I'm sorry sir, but we're going to have to confiscate that."

"Confiscate what? This? Without ammo, it's a really big club!"

"It's still a weapon, and needs to be placed in the armory with the rest."

"Yeah? You and what army?"

"The entire facility security staff if need be, sir. Please...you're a good guy. I don't want to have to call for back up."

"Oh...so you're going to confiscate the M203 grenade launcher I have in my room too?"

"Wha-?"

"The multiple LIVE ammunition as well, including one very experimental 20mm Shotgun shell."

"Sir. Please, you're not making this any easier for yoursel-"

"How about the hidden Five-seveN strapped to my ankle? It's loaded, you know."

"I'm calling for back up."

"For what reason?"

Derek had been arguing with one of the newer Security members of the facility. When the two had bumped into each other, the Trainer was just leaving his room carrying an unloaded M60E3 at a half-a** shoulder arms position. The Security member expressed the rules and regulations of having even an unloaded weapon out and about, but Derek just kept walking and talking. Before the security member knew it his threat for calling for back up became invalid.

The Private thought about the recent question shot out by Derek and had a very good come back involved, when the man suddenly laid down and started to set up the Machine Gun's bipod. Only then did the new Security member look up and about. "Oh." They were in the firing range. Empty yes, but they were there.

Trainer Echo chuckled at the man's utter disbelief, and stood up after adjusting his weapon down range. Patting the Private on the shoulder he motioned for the safety glasses and ear protection. "You're new. Probably straight out of Boot, and the only reason you're here is you were too good for Embassy duty. So I'll give you some advice: On or off duty. Keep on your toes, and be aware of your surroundings. If you think calling for back up is the best solution to a problem, don't hesitate and do it. You might get hurt, but it depends on the threat level of the suspect. For me, I would've demonstrated how much a big club, like an unloaded M60E3, hurts." And with that, Derek gave the new guy a rough pat on the back before whistling a tune and heading for the armory to retrieve some ammunition, possibly tracers. He felt like seeing something pretty seeing as the cream puff's he did have left, failed to keep him happy for a full day.

Oh that voice I recognize! Jojo smiled to herself. Now she can finally share her creampuffs with someone. Going in the direction of the cute little voice she heard, "Hey Rinie, if you can make your way towards me I'll give you a creampuff," Jojo called out.

Rinie looked over at Jojo. "Big sister Jojo!" She smiled and began to look around. 'There has got to be a way to get to my feet without help.' She thought as she. She frowned as she started to drag herself over to Jojo. "Are they good?" She had seen people eat them, but she never really tried them. She stopped as her arms got tired. She turned over and laid down on her back.

The poor dear must have fell Jojo thought to herself hearing the sound of Rinie trying to make her way near Jojo. Kneeling down next to Rinie, Jojo put the box of creampuffs down and took one out to show Rinie. "This is a creampuff. It's really good, it has whip cream and vanilla in the center." Jojo explained holding one out to Rinie. It was then she also remembered there was another soldier in the hallway. And Derek did say to share with the soldiers. "Hey Rico I have yummy tasty creampuffs if you want one!" Jojo called out to him.

Okay so Derek's fun didn't last. Much less get started. The Security Staff had come down anyway and relieved him of the Machine Gun. Checking his watch as he walked down the hallway he groaned in frustration. It was still midday and he had nothing to do. Suddenly his stomach growled, but not for the cafeteria food. Unfortunately his hunger for Cream Puff's were not subdued with three boxes of it. Checking his watch again he noted that he had two more hours until the bakery closed. Except this time, instead of just leaving, he went from door to door with a notepad and pen jotting down requests for anything from the outside world. From Scientists to Soldiers. Even some of the Security staff. No alcohol of course.

He walked into the lab with Jason and Akiko. And stopped just inside the door. "Uhh...I'm going out, again. Anybody want anything? Burgers, fries..." Derek cleared his throat softly. "Cream puffs..."

Jason turned around as he was bumped into. "Ah yes..." Really Jason had no idea...he didn't know why they kept putting him in charge of people... He wasn't any good at it. He tilted his head to the side when Derek walked in. "Hey...wasn't Ami supposed to have training..." Then again...Jason wasn't sure...whatever... He thought about it for a second. "Not anything I can think of..."

Kora cringed when she heard the man’s comment. Slowly, carefully she got up and pulled her glasses on, pushing them up on her nose. “I’m very sorry sir.” She said mumbling and looking down at the floor. She bowed slightly not wanting to upset him any more than she already had, or report her to the grievance council for not using the proper amount of caution in the workplace. With no more grace than a baby giraffe she picked up her clip board and straightened out her clothes.

“I really am sorry s-sir.” She said again stuttering and blushing from embarrassment. She glanced up momentarily to look at his face and bit her lip. He was a solider, and a strong looking one at that, she dared not anger him for fear that he’d do something troublesome with her to blame.

Derek looked around the lab and shuddered. He hated labs. Getting a response from James was all he needed. Not waiting for anyone else to answer he left in a hurry to find the rest of the Science staff, and then the soldiers.
