Ellandra squeaked, but giggled, before snuggling up against Faolan with a happy sigh. "I might, perhaps, at that. Otherwise I might have no feet left by the time this is all over!"

Oblivious to the cat man following him, at least for the moment, Astan continued on through the entrance hall, sticking as close to the wall as possible. He might have loved to hear himself talk, but all of these people were engaged in conversations he had nothing to add to, and he wasn't some clown, content to barge in and set off awkward silences. He did, however, notice what he assumed were the Essentics: a walking flower and a bony thing with a visor that seemed to be conversing with a pair of normal, if oddly colorful, humans. He didn't feel any strong sense of unease around these creatures, just an intense curiosity. If he was to believe the rumors some people spread, that flower could fly off the handle any minute.
Making his way past the crowd, Astan entered the ballroom, surprised to see not only Verdant, but Eli and Kell too. What in the hell were they all doing here? And why was there a dog at a ball? He shuffled over to Eli first, nodding at Lee and trying not to openly stare at Lauss. "Good to see you?" he said, his words more a question than a statement. "I wasn't expecting to find you guys here." He chuckled. "Any idea why we were invited?"

Trystan was highly amused by the lavish array of drinks being served at the ball - as if someone was wanting them to get drunk intentionally. He'd caught scent of rum on the air, fine white wine, along with bloody red liquor as well. No mixed drinks had caught his sight yet, but shots of vodka certainly had. The adult had decided that Faolans 'big' news could wait until after a few shots and had slithered his way over to one of the sleek waiters drifting around amidst them, silver trays lined with delicious looking drinks. Walking up beside one that looked particularly shorter then him, Trystan practiced the innate art of subtle charm and smiled at him harmlessly, taking a shot of vodka from the tray with a bit of small talk here and there. That was his talent - being able to disarm anyone with a false front if he needed to. After all, being a hit man didn't just require pulling the trigger. No, it required so much - so much more. And later on, he'd have to live with teaching Crux that. After his third shot, the obsidian haired man looked over at the brunette in his waiting attire, and fluidly thanked him. In turn, the man bowed with one free hand over his chest, and asked if the young adult wanted anymore.
Turning as the brunette bustled off to retrieve more vodka, Trystan grimaced, still searching a crowd of faces he hardly knew - nor cared to know, really. He briefly skimmed over Crux and Ziazan to see if they were alright - a girl had joined them. Narrowing his eyes, Trystan turned his head further. Oh well, if Crux felt threatened, he knew how to act. Especially if someone close to him was feeling threatened. Trystan hated to admit it, but the other was quickly growing emotions, much more then he'd have expected from such an early aged Essentic. It was already consulting the idea of love... such an insane thing. Trystan brushed a hand over his middle, smoothing the tight cloth of the vest with a low thrum in the back of his throat. He'd better get to Faolan quickly, before more insanities broke out. Not that any had just yet, which was good Trystan supposed.... Thankfully he hadn't brought a gun along, though he'd lied to Crux when he said he'd come absolutely defenseless. After all, the knife stuck in hiding did nothing to settle him down. Eyes flashing as he came across a scene across the hall, Trystan tried not to snicker. A man had just dumped rum on the floor. But it wasn't really the floor now was it? It was another mans boots.
Leaning back to watch with noted interest as the other offended man brough his offender to the ground, Trystan whistled under his breath. "Atta boy..." He teased to himself lightly, watching as the commotion drew to a close. Turning his eyes away as the brunette came back, this time with something that smelled closer to a strong brandy then vodka, he took the slightly larger glass thankfully and tipped it to him as he wandered off, about to pass through the crowd to find Faolan and that girl - Ellandra was it? However, he was stopped by a sly voice, a sultry tone. Turning slowly, eyes like that of a predator, he observed the other man before him. His black sclera eyes glittered with a dangerous dry malice at being disturbed that quickly spread into faint amusement. "Good evening." He literally purred, his amusement peaking as he examined the others choice of clothing as opposed to his own aristocratic choice, Trystan thrummed a low note and turned his head ever so elegantly to the side. "Nice place?" He repeated fluidly, acting as he had when accompanied with Dreamer back at the Papillon. A dangerous honey sweet tone that carried venom in its depths. The tone that carried the message 'if you bite, I bite back. and honey, I bite hard.'
"I suppose." Trystan rumbled in reply, a slight smile on his face. "I must admit, Banning has some taste," To make up for his other lost qualities. The man thought in an almost taunting manner, but failed to say it out loud. "Though nice is a matter of perspective, and I've yet to be impressed." There was a hint of amusement and taunting in his tone, though for the most part, his conversation was light hearted. He still wanted to meet up with Faolan - and eat him alive for getting married so quickly and conceiving a child - but he still had to live through a talk with this stranger. Remembering his manners, Trystan fluidly stuck out a hand. "Trystan Bishop Chevalier." He noted with a smile that was trying not to turn into a smirk.
"And you are?"
___( location ) Entry Hall. [/ crux ]
Crux simply nodded through Misha's amusing talk and response, keeping remotely silent as he observed the other with his reddened scanner. What interesting words this Essentic had to say, though they were laced with much more innocence then he was used to - and it took almost too much energy for him to keep from his canine influences taking over his body. As the other finally left off on a small note and fell silent, Crux was about to reply with at least a bit of something - perhaps just a polite acceptance of what the other had to say - when Ziazan spoke up. Turning his attention to the other, Crux cocked his head to the side, a hand reaching to delicately pick the deck up from the others outstretched hands. "Thank you... Ziazan." he said softly, examining the smooth rectangular deck with the most interest he had shown all night. "Your wings molt cards now? How interesting... But to collect one of each kind, wouldn't that take a bit of effort?" Crux tilted his head to the side, watching the other for a moment. "This is... I like it quite a lot. Thank you once more Ziazan." Crux thrummed a bit, a question rising on his throat. "Is there some way I may repay you?" Ah yes, raised on the thought that all things came with a cost, Crux could hardly stand to go without asking like that.
However, his answer was cut short by a girl. Observing her as she grabbed onto Ziazans wings, Crux instantly felt himself grow protective, despite his purpose only being to serve Trystan. Still, the innate need to guard and protect what was important to him wore him on into a half sneer, half rigid glance as he stepped towards the girl, one hand raised. The elongated fingers of his robotic hand had become long, curved knives had become of the jagged fingers - or what looked to be like such things at least. A thrum came from low in his throat as Misha helped her off the ground. He was opposed to the other Essentic doing that to someone who could have as well posed a harm to them. When the girl blew a fuse however, it took all of Crux's power not to cut her with his blades. However, she wasn't a physical threat yet, and that would be the only time he would go after her with the intent to actually cause harm. When she referred to them as 'silly little rocks' Crux couldn't help but feel a bit more protective over his own kin. This child... was shallow. Was it even a child? No....
When Zia became cold and rigid, Crux tilted his head up, examining the other for a moment. He couldn't blame the Essentic for feeling like that, because he was hardly on the girls side either. However, he was simply trying to mantain neutrality at the moment, instead of picking a 'side' per say. Friends... He was hardly worried about such trivial things like that. When the girl screeched, Crux's hand found its way towards Claudia as if to shut her up, but stopped, scanner playing as a man appeared, his apologetic look making him rethink and lower his hand slowly, blades retracting to be replaced by his normal mechanical hand. Looking from the man to the girl as she was rebooted, and talked to him like she didn't even remember, Crux thrummed in a strange way. "I am not sure I understand." He told the other, looking at him for a moment. "One moment, it was posing a threat. Now it seems to have been restarted - like a computer." Crux clicked the information into his head bit by bit. "It is not human?" He asked, tilting his head. This was the first time he had encountered a robot - much less an android. Android... yes, the girl had been speaking about what she was, but Crux had hardly acknowledged it in his head while wanting to protect Zia from whatever threat might have come.
Crux tilted his head once more, observing the man. "It is neither human, nor Essentic." It deemed with a cold tone - it wasn't sure whether to trust the man whos thing had just exploded on them, made Zia act the way he was, and cause a commotion. With a low thrum, his scanner glittered dangerously. Trystan would not have approved of such a thing walking around here. Nor would he have thought it was simply safe. 'Never trust humans - but more then that, never trust machines.' He had told the Essentic once. 'Humans have the ability to be persuaded, as well as make their own choices.' Crux had simply nodded along, pretending to understand. And now he finally did. "I am not sure I like it, nor feel safe in its presence." Crux reported grimly, as if listing off useless data, and then turned to Dorian, acknowledging his presence fully for the first time. "And who are you?" He asked as if he hadn't just adressed what was clinging to him as a thing that he did not exactly approve of.
Looking over as Zia coldly stated for it to get away, Trystan thrummed a low note of reassurance, and stepped closer to the small Essentic, not wanting Zia to feel anymore discomforted then it already was. Of course, it was only a small gesture. But a gesture none the less.
Trystan, who'd been watching this entire ordeal from over with the stranger, contemplated going over. An android, three essentics, and a man with a syringe. What could possibly make that any worse? A hitman with a bad temper. Trystan made a face and turned back to the stranger who'd talked to him in the first place. Crux could take care of himself... However, the obsidian haired man swore that if things became too dangerous, he would drag both his and the strangers a** over there right away. However, he wasn't exactly a fan of syringes.... Trystan puffed a sigh.
Crux had better behave.

"Well, there's a first time for everything," quipped Verdantly cheerfully as he placed Shade's right hand in his left. He gently placed the imp's other hand on his shoulder and placed his own hand on Shade's waist. The size difference was a bit of a hindrance, but they'd manage. Dancing wasn't really all that hard, but it had come naturally for him; nymphs were born to dance and sing and be merry after all. Imps... well, he wasn't quite so sure of that. Softly, Verdant said, "I'll teach you how to waltz; just listen and watch."
"On each beat, mirror my movements, okay? On the first beat, I ste forward with my left; you step back with your right." Verdant stepped forward and was happy to see that Shade had done as he said. "Good! Now, let's keep going..." He did his best to teach Shade how to waltz, but he did feel like he should be doing a better job. He would have to work on his teaching skills, it seemed.
Finally, the song had ended and the two young men stopped dancing. It was then that Verdant realized he and Shade had been the only couple dancing... wait, couple? They weren't a couple! No, no way were they a couple! Shade was... was too young, wasn't he? Verdant was blushing just at the thought of it! He took his arm off the boy's waist and smiled nervously.
"Um, you did really well, Shade. Do you.. are you hungry? I am starving, totally starving." He looked around for something to eat and led Shade over to the food... while still holding his freaking hand.

Zia put a hand on Crux's shoulder when the other Essentic moved closer. It was touched by the gesture, feeling reassured by it's friend's presence.
Faolan looked over and noticed Trystan coming towards them, only to be stopped by some unknown person. "That idiot." He waved at Trystan, motioning him to hurry the hell up and come over already. Then he noticed Trystan was looking off and followed his gaze to see a man there with a strange girl-child. Zia and Crux both looked upset. His body tensed, ready to go over and protect his Essentic and Trystan's, too, if need be. "Elle, if I have to go over there. You stay put and stick close to Elst, okay?"

Lee adjusted her dress as she bent down to pat the animal's head. The concept of "baby talking" to animals was foreign to her, and she simply smiled at Kell, hoping he would somehow sense that she was trying to be friendly.
Hm. Everyone seemed to have a gun but Lee. Lauss would have to have a talk with her about that. "I've seen one of these 'guns' used once before, but I've never had the pleasure of using one myself." The pleasure...? It's a gun, Lauss, not a novel. "I would be very grateful if you would teach me to use one, Mister Eli." Lee's hand covered her mouth; he was being much more forward than she could tolerate. "Lauss! You don't even know him..." she scolded the proto as quietly as she could, looking back up at Eli apologetically.
Lauss' attention was shifted from Lee's harsh tone to the couple waltzing in the distance. "Miss Lee, why are they doing that?" Lee turned her head in the same direction, then looked back at Lauss, who was still fixated on the two. "You mean dancing? That's what you do at a ball. You dance." "That's dancing?" He paused and continued to study their movements, and as soon as they stopped turned back to Lee. "Can I do that?" "You'd have to find someone who's willing to dance with you first." Lee instantly threw her hands up, letting him know that asking her would be a waste of time. Lauss turned and quickly searched the crowd for a particular person... "Miss Ellandra!" As soon as he spotted her he was off, swerving through the crowd of people until he was in the entrance once again. "Miss Ellandra, would you like to dance?" He bowed and offered her his hand, mimicing a scene form a picture in a text book he'd flipped through a few days prior.
Lee let him wander off. As long as he was with Ellandra, she wasn't worried. She smiled at the new comer who'd greeted Eli, and somehow felt oddly out of place when in a conversation with two people she didn't know in the least.

Ellandra curtsied to the little proto, biting back a giggle as she took his hand."I would be most happy to dance with you, Lauss," she said, smiling brightly, then turning to Faolan for just a moment. "Go see to Ziazan," she said to her husband as she started to move to the dance floor with the much-smaller Essentic. "I think I'll be quite fine for a while."

Lauss purred with joy seeing Ellandra curtsy and, taking her hand, hurried back into the ballroom, almost dragging her behind him. "How does one dance?" he finally asked as he held his hands in the same position he'd seen the other two in, hoping his partner would guide him. No doubt Ellandra was more experienced in this field than the proto was. Luckily Lauss didn't have feet and wouldn't have to worry about stumbling on Ellandra's already weary toes.

Oh dear, oh dear. The developments with Claudia sure were startling, her strange accusations and the yelling didn't fall on deaf ears with the rabbit Alter at all. Between keeping a careful eye on Crux's defensive-hostile behaviour and Ziazan's contempt and covering for the little girl-thing going limp in his arms, muttering those strange, cold words, he didn't really know what to pay attention to more for a moment.
The sudden epiphany concerning this girl's true nature came quickly, leaving an entirely different understanding in its wake. So that's what the deal was... Keeping the overloaded android in his arms, also keeping her away from Ziazan as much as possible, Misha looked up when her... owner? showed up. He watched the man's actions, listened to his words, an somehow... didn't agree.
Why would they pay her earlier words no heed? Apart from not having to bother with getting too involved, why would they assume it was alright to just... ignore her? Wary of initiating what would surely become a never-ending debate, he didn't press the matter though, and nodded when Ziazan told the doctor to just go away and leave them be. Wise choice, if a bit self-centered. Nobody would benefit from an open clash, though, so seperating the parties and settling down was the best option now.
It still left him a little dazed though.
Us, replace her? How? If she had no emotions, like a computer, why did she get worked up like that? This Dorian was one of the new owners, he knew that now... He wondered if he should warn Ziazan and Crux that they might encounter this man and his robot-girl more often, at least, if they wanted to associate with the Essentic that would be his. ... nah, they'd find out in time. Now isn't the right moment, he'd just fret on his own over this. He wouldn't burden his siblings with the worries he had now.
Slipping out of that initial state of alert shock, Misha smiled when Crux and Ziazan were being so friendly to each other. At least Zia didn't seem to feel like Crux was about to chase his butt the moment he turned, haha. Aww, them two.
"Are you two okay? Did that ever come out of the blue..." he inquired softly, then glanced around at the other developments. People conversing, others on the move, some getting.... horribly drunk by the looks of it, tsk. Maybe he should leave these two by themselves, if they were alright, and go check on the others. He wouldn't want to be an intruding presence now, as they seemed to know each other quite well. Some alone-time would soothe all tempers.
"If you don't mind, I think I'll be taking a stroll around now. There's still a few of us I have to meet, and I was ordered to keep an eye out for trouble, too." Hehe. If Crux was willing to let doctor Cromwell off the hook, he might just go and get him to steer clear of his siblings, too.
While waiting for his siblings' response, the rabbit Alter stole a keen glance at Dorian, and the re-awakened girl. I've got my eyes on you, mister, I do.

The Gates were meft open now, watched over by a quintet of the surveillance team. They'd keep illegit people out, and let invitees in without a hitch.
The Duke himself had left his post to tinker with other things now... He had work to do, oh yes. Slipping inside through the glass doors, he took a quick glance at the small crowd socialising in all manners of the word, but spoke to nobody and passed on through to the closed-off area.
So far things seemed to be going.. reasonably well, considering the amalgam of tempers present. Quite surprising nobody had been murdered yet. At least Elst seemed to be alright after the reported assassination attempt, and hadn't been tackled again in the last hour. Small mercy.
Trystan, doctor Dorian, milady Eversong, the Grady bunch, and so many more, people he had never once met in person or lacked data of. Was that one even invited? He'd have to check up on that now...
But not now, oh no. Priorities, master DeLonghy.
~
In the Ballroom, things were going quite cosy, the most volatile members of the attendants apparently hogging the Entrance Hall. Longway had been lounging on the sidelines, quite amused by everyone minding their own business and not paying her any attention. Easy enough, right?
Now that things were filling up slowly, mister Lindstrom -what a handsome man he was- dancing with that scruffy youth, how cute, and that precious sight coaxing Ellandra and Lauss out onto the dancefloor. Did he really want to attempt this? No sense of perspective, the young thing, mother Iris be damned. Didn't he see all Ellandra could do was yank him around in circles at best? Ah, as long as they had fun it was all game. pretty endearing how the got along, Ella and the Essentics. Could be the title of a sappy children's book.
No matter how she'd have loved to watch this play out though, it was about time to go and see how the others were doing. Getting up from her cosy chair by the tables, Timka strode back to the Entrance hall, calling over a hello to Ella and Lee in passing and greeting the others.
"Hi there, good to see you with us again. Have fun eh!" And off she was, skirting around to go on a short surveillance.
At the doors to the others out there, she inched past Eli conversing with Lee, and just caught Astan wandering in, followed by another complete stranger. She narrowly managed to flick the musician a 'howdy', before slipping through, escaping into the Entrance Hall. Na, she hoped he'd find some anschluss with the others, 't was nothing like the man to stand around being awkward. He appeared to know Eli from somewhere though, nice. She decided to go check up on him later, once she'd gotten a survey over the other guests.
Oh hey, Elst, and Faolan. Oh dearie me, and Trystan, too. Hey ye oaf, leave that woman alone today na, she's glaring at you. Heehee. The guy he was talking to right now sure looked ... rawr though. She'd definitely have to check him out sometime. Oh lookie now, yet another. Redhead... slightly off vibe, she hadn't even seen pictures of him. Illegit visitor? Oh, she'd surely go and find out, for everyone's safety.
Still, hooboy, pretty pretty. If she didn't know better she'd think the duke was doing her a favour, inviting all these nice men -apart from Dorian, narf, but not even he and Trystan together could unsettle her tonight.
Boy, was she ever in a good mood.

Call it dramatic, perching on one of the chapel towers on the northwest of the mansion, but Rugovin figured it only counted when people were aware of one hiding away on said dramatic location. He was simply catching some of the last sunrays of the day on the warm tiles, listening to the sweet sounds from below and keeping a low profile. He'd been here for a while now, basking in the parching sun, dozing ahead lost in his own reverie.
And so far, his plans were to stay right here, until the new daybreak would signal him to make his leave again.

Shade allowed Verdant to take hold of his right hand and to position his other hand on his shoulder. However, he couldn't keep the blush off his face as Verdant's hand went to his waist - he, for once, felt thankful that his fur was so dark. The current flush on his face would probably be very much obvious if it weren't for that.
The impling looked down as the lesson began, trying to keep his eyes on his and Verdant's feet - it was a good thing that they weren't dancing too quickly. Otherwise, he would've probably had a lot more trouble keeping up with the movements. It didn't take long for him to become used to the movements, much to his surprise. It wasn't as hard as he'd originally thought!
Shade couldn't help but feel a little disappointed when the music stopped and the dance ended - he'd been having fun! He'd never thought that would possible with physical activity! But then again, he'd never thought he'd ever meet someone like Verdant either.
It was at that moment that the impling noticed the color of the older one's cheeks - Verdant didn't exactly have fur to cover it up like Shade did. Was he embarrassed? Nervous about something? He was about to ask when Verdant suddenly mentioned being hungry. The impling didn't get much time to reply, however, as he felt himself being led over to where the food was, his hand still in the older one's.
Soon, he found the two of them standing next to the table with all the food on it - even with all these people, Shade could imagine the leftovers Banning was going to be stuck with. There was so much!
The impling picked up a plate from the table, though he looked back to Verdant before taking any food. "I...um...t-thanks...for teaching me to dance..." He managed to smile a little, despite the shyness that had suddenly welled up. "It was a lot of fun..." He meant it too - he'd enjoyed himself quite a bit.

Elst watched as both Fao and Ellandra were whisked away, nary a moment had passed by since Fao had told his wife to stick with Elst, too… Oh well, might as well roam for a bit more, seeing as he was now quite alone. He slowly sifted his way through the group of people, the flower on his shoulder catching far more attention than he himself was. He made his way to the ballroom, allowing a polite bow of his head towards Longway as he spotted her at the edge of the crowd on the way there, and my, what a sight the ballroom was. Plenty of food, he noticed, and Verdant seemed to be dancing with that young, rather fur-coated fellow Elst had earlier seen him with. He wanted a word with Verdant, but figured he could wait until they’d finish their… waltz? Hell if he knew. And those drinks the waiting staff were carrying around looked simply irresistible…
After a few moments, and more than a few of those intriguing ‘mojito’ things, Elst noticed Verdant had led his little friend to what appeared to be the buffet. Elst nabbed three more of the lovely ‘mojitos’ he’d been enjoying, one for himself and the two he planned on greeting, and headed on over. He was highly fortunate that alcohol didn’t do much to plants; he’d hardly be able to stand if it did. For now, all it did to him was cause some rather potent strawberry-like things to start growing on his arms.
“Verdant! So good to see you again, and I see you have a friend, might I ask your name?” He sat the rather tropical drinks down on the counter that held the food; it was clear he’d brought them to share. “Say, they serve these fascinating ‘mojito’ things here, have you tried them? They taste superb, but I’m fair certain that’s an ample portion of rum I taste in ‘em, even past all the lime flavor. Thank the gods all the alcohol I drink ends up in these…” He held up what appeared to be a decent-sized, green strawberry. “…because who knows what all that would have done to me if it actually got into my system.” Yes, he’d set his brain to ‘social mode’, quite literally, and was actually quite lively in contrast to his usual self. Of course, he was still socially inept, as usual, but for now that wasn’t showing; there was nothing really socially demanding at present. However, he had forgotten the fact that Verdant's friend did look rather young, quite likely below drinking age... But that'd sort itself out...hopefully.

"Well, I'm only just learning to dance myself, Lauss," Ellandra said softly, smling at the curious and eager little Proto. He couldn't dance in the "proper" fashion, perhaps, but he could have fun. Besides, it wasn't like she was good at dancing herself. "I do know that there are lots of different kinds of dances; I'm sure you could find a book on the different ones sometime." Even as she spoke she began trying to mimic what Faolan had taught her about a box waltz, thought it was a bit awkward since she had to lead and because Lauss didn't have feet to follow with, so she was kind of pushing and tugging him around.
"This is a waltz, or at least a basic one," she said, knowing the proto was ever-hungry for information. "I believe it existed back in the victorian era, did it not?" Oh, was she ever asking for it now - but hearing Lauss talk about the Victorian era was preferable to being scared of all the people she didn't know.

Once Dreamer was back in the entrance hall, she went over to the door for a small glance outside. Both to admire the greenery and to see if there was still anyone left outside. The manor reminded her of the one she'd had back home, though her's was small since her family did not believe in having an extraordinary number of rooms. It left room for more fields, paddocks and heir stable; such good memories she had from home and yet she didn't miss it one bit. Dreamer had left for a reason after all and, she was proving now that she could do just fine on her own in a very crazy city.
Turning around she froze and sucked in a breath of air, there was no guessing on who's back she was starring at. Exhaling the breath Dreamer lifted her chin, a clear sign of defiance she'd learned to master during her younger years, her parents always knew there would be no negotiating once she did that. Then her eyes traveled to the man he was talking to, and she quirked a brow. Mmmmm. She thought, before making her way to the ballroom. She wasn't going to stop and talk to the man, that would be rude. Nor was she stopping because Trystan was sure as all hell going to pass a remake, and she wasn't in a playing mood today. She couldn't see the feline like essentic that had been sitting on his shoulder, she was curious as to what it aided Trystan with; something to do with his job obviously. Striding past, she gave the other man a slight glance while passing the duo before she continued onward to the ball room. The girl Ellandra was dancing with a proto it seemed, Dreamer doubt it was her own considering she'd seen her in the waiting room. There was the plant man with... Strawberries? Growing on his arm, and the flower proto on his shoulder. Dreamer glanced about, but found no one of further interest.
There was a large amount of liquor going around, although Dreamer wasn't much of a drinker she stilled managed to grab a white wine glass by the stem and sip it slowly. Mm Chardonnay, she thought, a fine white wine indeed. Taking another sip, Dreamer found herself drifting towards the buffet a little near the group. She hadn't really wanted to step into the conversation, if anything she was a little more shy then usual. But, she'd have to throw herself to the sharks and get out there to socialize. " The white wine isn't bad either. " Dreamer said in a small voice, before joining the little group. " Pardon my intrusion into the discussion. " Well, atleast she'd apologized, if they thought she'd been rude by just adding a snippet of her thoughts on the alcohol Banning was serving. She allowed herself a quick glance to the flower proto, which was actually her center of attention for the moment. Then she slide the glance to the two other males, a very pale man whom Dreamer thought was just a little odd. The other seemed to have fur, she blinked a few times, what a very odd contrasted they all made standing together.

The man that Seb had picked to greet certainly seemed to be of a similarly well off background; he formed his words with perfect annunciation and a casual flair of the tongue that shone brightly with confidence alongside a touch of arrogance. This arrogance was confirmed when the man responded to Sebastian's impressed comment on the venue with little signs of being particularly bowled over. However, the youth wasn't deterred by the other's cold exterior and his face broke into a smile. Seb has often dealt with people who thought themselves 'too cool' for idle chit chat; the pitched eyed guy in front of him probably wasn't all that different from uppity well off children and all Seb needed to do was persist with fervent enthusiasm... Alongside matching him in coolness. Therefore when asked for his name Sebastian was all to willing to comply, gripping Trystan's hand and returning the smile with a handsome grin. "Sebastian Letts."
Introductions complete the next problem that presented itself to Sebastian was the task of keeping the conversation going, without forcing it or choosing topics that would fall flat or end up embarrassing him. Already he seemed to have taken a slight social beating by expressing how he was slightly awed by the scaler and quality of the venue, whilst Trystan was quite the opposite. Now he had to pull some sort of recovery move to ensure that he would not suffer any more social damages - if not, he could well end up an outcast at this party... A fate that he certainly wasn't keen on.
Perhaps a simple inquiry would be the best course of action. "So, how did you get invited?" The question would most likely seem peculiar if it hadn't been for the strange nature of Seb's own invitation. The letter with all the details formally requesting that he come had arrived totally unexpected in his letter box only a few days ago. The reason for his invite had been left rather ambiguously, with only a few sentences regarding how his family's history might lead to him being interested in the work of the host... Thus he was curious to see what others knew about the gathering and what information he could glean about this mysterious host. Already a name had been revealed to him by Trystan... Banning... What other knowledge hid behind those glimmering black eyes?
