Yamir & Calandra Log 1 Calandra Calandra flew, still searching for her lost children. She had left her young ones with a capable baby sitter. At least she thought she did… No, she was certain she had." Yamir Bored, and finally rid of the squalling infants, Yamir glided gracefully. He didn't miss the brats, not one bit. Nope. No sir. Not him. Calandra Not paying attention to where she was going, Calandra nearly ran into Yamir before she managed to veer sharply to left. As it was, she clipped his wing and, with a yelp, went spiraling toward the ground. Yamir "Watch it!" Yamir yelled, tumbling through the air. He dove to the ground and landed with a stumble. Calandra A moment later, Calandra crashed with a groan. "Oh… dear… I think I broke something." Yamir "You had better hope you didn't!" Yamir snapped. "I am NOT going to cart you to a healer. What kind of idiot manages to crash into someone IN THE SKY?!" Calandra Calandra frowned at him, carefully flexing her wings. They were fine, thank the gods. "There's no call for name calling!" Yamir "Oh, but I think there is. You were the who crashed into me. I could have died!" Calandra "That may be so, but I seem to be the one injuried. Courtesy dictates that you at least make certain I'm alright before you start attacking me verbally! Shame on you!" Yamir "S….shame on me?" Yamir sputtered. "Are you insane?" ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 2 Calandra "I most certainly am not! And I do not appreciate the continued insults!" Yamir "Then stop giving me cause to insult you," he snapped. "What were you even doing? Were you paying any attention at all to where you were going?" Calandra "Of course I was," she huffed. Yamir "Then how, when the sky was completely clear of ponies, did you manage to crash into me?" Yamir crossed his arms and scowled at her. Calandra "It was an accident. Surely you're familiar with such things," she scoffed. Normally, she didn't adhere much to scoffing or rudeness in genearl, but this pony was grating on her nerves." Yamir "Not in the middle of the sky. What are you, some kind of cltuz?" Calandra "Again with the name calling!" Yamir "Again with the deflections," Yamir retort. Calandra "I have no idea what you're talking about." Yamir "I'm talking about the fact that you keep getting huffy but aren't making any efforts to defend yourself. You must know you're in the wrong, which is why you're trying to put ME on the defense." ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 3 Calandra "I am doing no such thing!" Yamir "Then what were you doing, flying like a lunatic?" Calandra "I was not flying like a lunatic!" Yamir "So you've said! You haven't explained HOW it could be an accident." Calandra Calandra sputtered, glaring at him. Finally, she managed to push herself to her feet and regain some semblance of composure. "I'm sorry." Yamir Yamir blinked, not having expected an appology. "What?" Calandra "I said I'm sorry," Calandra repeated, biting back an insult of her own. She would not bring herself down to this heathen's level. No matter how tempting. Yamir Yamir stared at her, no longer certain how to handle her. "Just like that? Just… you're sorry?" ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 4 Calandra "What did you want me to say?" Yamir "I… don't know. I just…. Wasn't expecting an appology." Calandra "From the way you were yelling at me, it certainly seem like you were. Besides, you were right. I was at fault, thus it is my responsibility to appologize." Yamir Yamir fidgitied, no longer certain what to do. "What were you doing?" Yamir "Of course when you were flying. What else would I be talking about?" Calandra "There is absolutely no call to be snapish!" Yamir "Then answer the damn question." Calandra "Watch your language! There are children present!" Yamir "There are?" Yamir stiffened and looked around quickly. Then frowned. "Where?" ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 5 Calandra "Ah… sorry… habit," Calandra winced. "I run a nursery for orphaned children. I'm… not accustomed to being without young ones." Yamir "Then why are you?" He had to get away from this girl quick. Calandra "Well… I'm looking for the children," Calandra sighed. Yamir "You're… looking for… the kids you take care of?" Yamir repeated slowly, frowning at Calandra. Calandra "Yes, it seems some of them have wandered off. I'm quite worried about them." Yamir "….Are you certain they didn't just grow up?" Calandra Calandra frowned. "You aren't the first one to ask me that. I can't imagine that my kids would leave me without saying good bye." Yamir "Maybe they couldn't catch your attention. Or you were gone when they grew up. It happens quick." Calandra "You sound as if you speak from experience." Yamir "Well, I do have a few brats of my own." He winced. "They're all gone now, thank goodness." ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 6 Calandra "Gone?" Calandra's eyes widened. "You lost them also?" Yamir "No…. Gone… as in grown up and having their own lives." Calandra "Oh… but surely you keep in touch with them?" Yamir "Are you kidding?" he scoffed. "It took me ages just to get rid of them. I can't stand children." Calandra Calandra stared at him as if she had discovered a new species. "How can you dislike children? They're so cute and loving!" Yamir "They're loud and messy." Yamir "Vicious and chaotic." Not that those were bad things. Calandra "I suppose they can be a bit chaotic," she relented. "But I don’t agree with vicious at all." Yamir "You didn't meet the same brats I did, then." ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 7 Calandra "I suppose not, though all children can be a bit rowdy. It's up to the parents to train them well. Or, if they don’t have parents, then their guardians." Yamir "Are you calling me a bad parent?" Yamir frowned. Calandra "Of course not! I wouldn't dream of such a thing!" Calandra rushed to assure him. Yamir He snorted. "Don't bother. I know I'm not a good parent. I don't want to be a parent. I don't like children." Calandra "But… you have children." Yamir "Not anymore. They're grown and gone. I told you that already." Calandra "Once you have children, you always have children," Calandra sighed. "But… If you don't like children, why did you have them?" Yamir "Are you kidding? They appeared out of nowhere," he growled. "It's not like I chose to have them. Espcially not with a twit like that girl." Yamir "The mother," he elaborated. "She was… annoyingly cheerful." ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 8 Calandra "But… isn't that a good thing? I would be annoyed to be surrounded by someone depressing." Yamir "It's a bad thing," Yamir informed her. "Besides, I think she had a boyfriend." Calandra "She had a boyfriend and you still had children with her?" Calandra was appalled. Yamir "I never even touched her, so don't you dare get huffy on me." Yamir "I told you, they came out of nowhere. They just… appeared. They looked like both of us, so I figure they were our kids but… blasted magic." Calandra "Oh… you know… that's how some of my kids were abandoned. They appeared but their parents were already missing. It's tragic, really." Yamir "Well, I wasn't fast enough." Calandra "You would have abandoned your children?" Yamir "In a heartbeat. But the little buggers had wings and learned how to fly without my help." ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 9 Calandra "That's… odd. Usually young ones need to be taught. You must have had some very bright children." Yamir He puffed up a bit. "Of course they were bright. They were mine." Calandra Calandra smiled knowingly. "I see, so you're proud of them." Yamir "I wouldn't go that far. They weren't a disappointment. That's all." Calandra "But you don't wish to have any more children?" Yamir "Of course not!" he scoffed. Calandra "Because you don't like children." Yamir "What do you know? You WERE paying attention," Yamir drawled. Calandra "Well, I do try to listen," Calandra nodded. "Though I think you must have been a good father if your children learned so much from you." Yamir "…What could they have possibly learned? I didn't teach them anything." ~End Log~

Yamir & Calandra Log 10 Calandra "Children don't need to be taught. They watch us and learn by the example we present. If they learned to fly, it was by watching you. No doubt, you imparted many pearls of wisdom to them." Yamir "Yamir considered that for a moment then grinned slowly. Calandra Calandra shuddered a bit, not liking that expression at all. Yamir "So… they learned from my example, huh?" Yamir asked, imaging the terror his children must be spreadig. Calandra "That… is usually the case, yes." Yamir "That…. Is somewhat gratifying." If he had to suffer, he was glad to know he was now spreading it around. Calandra "I….suppose," Calandra agreed, uncertainly. She suddenly had the feeling she should get out of there quick. "Anyway, I'm sorry again for crashing into you. I really must be on my way." Yamir "Sure, sure, whatever," Yamir waved a hoof. "Good luck finding your kids." Calandra "Thank you," Calandra gave a slight nod before launching herself shakily into the air. Yamir Yamir watched her for a moment, just to be certain she didn't hurt anyone else, before heading his own way, whistling. ~End Log~
