Aedrus did, heading to the south. Always sending his senses out scanning ahead of him to ensure the safety of his lifemate and himself with each step closer. The undead had been quiet for a while, which worried him. Perhaps they were regrouping into a group. A very uncommon thing for undead to do. They're normally to power hungry to submit to another's rule. But things had been very different for the past hundred years.

She followed, looking around, though her glance kept returning to him. Just who was he anyway? Rachel would have killed him fifteen times over already, but then she very much was not her big sister. She was Pyre. She had to make her own life. Whatever she did know, she was sure of one thing. There was no chance in cinder that her mother was meeting him. Not with him spouting this lifemate nonsense. Not a chance. All her mom had to do was hear that once and next thing Pyre would be back home producing heirs. She didn't begrudge rachel her choice to be celebite. Not in the least. However, she had a very long life ahead of her, and she hadn't seen nearly enough of the world to be ready to leave it just yet.
He hands clenched on the empty decanter. Why had the crone sent her here anyhow? Gran had told Pyre that she'd find what she had been seeking. What had she been seeking? A place of her own maybe? The place for her quest? Possibly. She just wish she knew what the crone had seen in that vision. Watching Gran go through those visions still freaked Pyre out. She thought the woman had been having a seizure or something. Pyre felt her face heat at the memory of calling frantically for a healer, just to find out that it was merely the crone receiving a vision. She should have known better. Perhaps it was better that she was no longer in Angel's Grove. Away from the Crone, from Rachel. She'd miss some of the people of course. Tyleet. Kim, Rei, Snake, Rattle, Jez, Cylpso... the list was longer then she realized, and she fought back a pang of what might have been homesickness. AG was not her home. It was Rachel's place. Rachel had a new family there, with a half vampire cousin, a million new friends, some odd additional powers, a great job, and a whole stinking island that worshiped her as a Goddess.
Pyre might have imagined that being the sister of a Goddess would feel different, but it didn't. Rachel was still Rachel. And she didn't even like to think about the people who worshiped her. Other then Ben who came back to the mainland to learn more about them all, Rachel had probably forgot they existed. She certainly didn't encourage them. As for Ben, she avoided him on principal just for being male. Which Pyre thought was a bit silly. Ben was actually a pretty cool kid, and he'd gotten over his whole worship thing pretty fast. Probably had something to do with falling in love with Serena...
She blinked, realizing she was letting her thoughts wander. She forced herself to pay attention to her surroundings instead.

Aedrus stopped at the door of his home, opening it wide after undoing a series of safeguards. "After you," He smiled, inadvertently showing fangs. His house was old, made of brick and very gothic looking. With two wings and a main section to connect them, it certainly wasn't small by any means. And this was just by looking at it from the front.

She looked around as she entered, a part of her wishing that she had better.... she blinked and turned to face him. "Can you read my mind?" she asked. She knew her mental shields were strong, but she didn't know yet how strong he was.
