(Reminder, Kenshin also has crazy fast reaction time, and in a battle without Shunpo, Hado, Bakudo, or Shikai/bankai, Kenshin actually has an edge since raw sword play is what he is built to do. Not only that, but I'm kind of cheating. You said no Shunpo, but that didn't mean I can't use the other technique that is the basis for the Hitemiturugi style. God Speed.)

(Shadow's eyes slows time down for him, his reaction time increasing a hundred fold. Natural speed makes its play here, too. Shadow is the same, and has trained for far longer than your character has with the blade. I'm sure Mizuki is the same. Longer training time usually means that you have a bigger edge than those who haven't.)

Mizuki Ito 5th Division Vice-Captain (That may be true, but that would probably mean that we're all around the same level in this particular battle. Mizuki isn't the best at swordfighting, however, she is still vice-captain level.) Mizuki stepped forward and took Kenshin's attack head-on. She had no need to dodge it. Holding her hand in front of her, she channeled most of her reiatsu to her palm and stopped Kenshin's attack, meeting his sword with her hand. Suddenly thinking of something, she tossed Kenshin's sword toward Shadow's. The zanpakutous collided and Mizuki flipped backwards in the air, away from her two subordinates.

Flipping as his attack missed, Kensihn would push against Shadows swords with his feet, launching himself at Mizuki. Spinning around in the air Kenshin would deliver a powerful slash at her chest again, attempting to create some sort of opening.

(be aware, Petross, that now you cannot use your Zanpakto, not ever to release it. That's the power of MY zanpakto. Of course, no one knows that at all in the RP. No one. stare )

 (No, dude. Mizuki tossed your Zanpakto into mine. How she tossed one sword into 2 swords in order to stop them, I'm not sure. BUt that's what she said.)
Shadow was fast normally, and his eyes increased that speed. However, Shadow knew full well that he would not be able to continue using his eyes this way for much longer. It was too draining. So, he spun once more, throwing Moonfire into the ground beside Mizuki and pulling on it, bringing him extremely fast towards the Liutenant. This added both speed and strength to his attacks, and he used it to send a rapid blurr of assaults with his swords at Mizuki, aiming for the head, neck, chest, and arms.

Mizuki Ito 5th Division Vice-Captain ((Ok, here's clarification: Mizuki tossed the sword at one of Shadow's swords. And maybe I should repost because I never realized Shadow's swords did that! Unless.... Does the blade have to touch both of Shadow's zanpakutous or just one? Because there's obviously a problem for the division if he can't release his. We need to change this!))

(One of my blades has to touch another persons. It isn't permanent, just lasts a few hours. enough to, say, kick his a** if Shadow was fighting him. And you shouldn't repost, Rox. No one in the entire devision knows that his Zanpakto do that, not even Soma. Shadow only just learned himself. So, no worries. I'm just letting Petross know that he won't be able to use spiritual powers for a few hours. basically, he has to fight with his sword, with no help from anything related to spiritual energy.)

(And if you read carefully, I was lunging at her, directly up. This means that I had to leave the ground in order to complete the assault. By redirecting my blade, she allowed me to free up my bodies movements, allowing my to use my spinning miton to hit your sword with my foot.
Ah, and I'm using Sakabatou, not zampakuto.)

Mizuki Ito 5th Division Vice-Captain ((Hehe, I guess I panicked a bit. Thanks for the info, Lanfaer.)) Mizuki carefully blocked each of Shadow's attacks. It seemed every person in the division shared one trait: speed. This meant, however, that trying to use fast attacks was out of the question, because they could all keep up with each other. So blocking his attacks seemed like the best option for the moment.

Shadow realized almost instantly that speed was a common trait. It was his strongest abilities, but his Strength wasn't so bad. It was higher than most, but would it be enough to take down a Liutenant? Drawing on Reishi around him, Shadow forced all of that power into his Zanpakto, increasing the strength behind the attacks. It wasn't a visible technique, so Mizuki wouldn't be aware of what he had just done. Suddenly landing, Shadow drew back a foot and slammed it into her stomach, following the attack up with a double forward thrust. If the first attack it, it would be extremely difficult to dodge the doubt thrust.

Kikazu Kikaryu Kikazu appeared out of shunpo looking at the free or all battle going down in the arena he removed his zanpakuto from its hilt and stood looking for some one to match his skill . "Anyone here think they can take the captian of squad ten." Kikazu said loudly.

 Kenshin Himura Division 5 - Seat 5 Landing Kenshin also knew that Speed was shared between the squad, however, he had two skills that he was exceptional at. His sword play, and his Bakudo. He also knew that in a fight at these speeds, even a moments hesitation was fatal. With this in mind Kenshin would quickly use his skills in the later of his two. "Bakudou #5, Shinobiashi ("Soft Steps" )"
As he said this Kenshin would land on the ground, instantly turning the earth below the Lutenent in to something that resembled a swamp. It would not be enough to stop her forever, but the sudden change in the ground was to drastic from the hard packed earth they were on, that nobody, not even a captain that used only swordsmanship, could compensate for without leaving several openings for attack. At these speeds as well, it would be impossible to block or dodge all of Shadows strikes.
(Reminder, physics still play in this battle. If your suddenly standing and sinking in thick goo, you slow dawn and your footing is unstable.)

Mizuki Ito 5th Division Vice-Captain Mizuki turned to see a captain near the group. She didn't know him because she was so new to the division, but instantly recognized the pure white captain's jacket he wore. "Maybe, if we go three on one." Mizuki smiled at the newcomer. "I'm sorry, I don't think we've met. I'm Mizuki Ito, 5th squad lieutenant." She had never met any of the captains other than her own, so this was a bit of a new experience. But as for the battle? Soma had instructed the group not to go all-out, and fighting a captain would be doing just the opposite.
