"I could care less about some bug; I'll just squash it if it gets in my way."
Doomsday didn't care about stories that told about other super heroes since the only one who ever beat him was Superman; those occasions where he was actually beaten from a foe other then Superman were special occasions, since not even Superman could survive the end of the universe. Doomsday would just defeat and kill anyone in his way, there was no need to worry about whoever this Blackstone had as a enemy; probably just some clown with a mask and a chip on her shoulders and some kind of beef with criminal society.

Blackstone looked back to Ivy and couldn't help but give her one of his grinns. "Alright." he replied. He still hadn't decided on a story, but since Gossamer wanted something that she could bring up later, he might have one. He heard Joker say something after Gossamer had spoken, but didn't catch it. Though the way he was looking at Gossamer, it wasn't hard to guess that it was related to her. "If you're wanting something you could use to get under Sapphire's skin, then my last attempt to kill Arachnis may be the best story, since she had a big hand in it." he said, taking a quick drink from his glass. "It happened after I had 'recruited' Sapphire to work for me. I won't go into too much detail on history, that would take far too long. But to summarize, she has this power that makes it impossible for me to know Arachnis's real identety. The special connection they have thanks to their powers." he said. He wouldn't go into detail on his universe's powers either, as that would take quite a while to explain. " I did finally find out who she was and after a while of planing, managed to force her to work for me or turn him in. Needless to say she chose the later. As I said before, everyone eventually turned on her. Both from being an apparent traitor, and the amount of blood that stained her hands over time. I did finally get her to tell me who he really was, and you can imagine how well he took to that news." he said with a slight grin. "Well, he and the group decided to make one more attempt at bringing me down, which I was expecting. They attacked, my men met them, and destroyed a good portion of my building. I had Sapphire lead Arachnis away from the others, as if she were trying to escape. He followed her into an empty room where she used her powers to render him unconcious." Another bit about thier powers that he didn't really want to get into because he'd still have to explain thier powers. But Sapphire did have power over Arachnis, thus she could do quite a bit if she really wanted. "He awoke restraint in the basement of my building with only Sapphire and I in the room with him."//since he's being a little vague, feel free to ask him anything while he's paused. sorry it took a while, had to think of which story to tell and how to tell it without going through a long and twisted history. Been working on the story for about nine years, so yeah, it's half a soap opera, and I'm really wanting it published some day, so I don't want to give out too much. Anyone want me to see if I can get arachnis to play arachnis in the RP?//

Having been intent on catching anything she could, Gossamer's focus was on listening before Blackstone even began to speak. Thus she caught what Joker had said. Her grin grew slightly and she glanced back at Joker, giving him a smile. Ok, so maybe it was him rather than her current mood. To be honest, she didn't mind one bit. She glanced back at Blackstone as he began to tell his story. The smile on her face twisted a bit. "Well, wait a sec, blood on her hands? We are talking about the same little miss goodey two shoes, lover of children and animals, right?" It wasn't impossible she supposed. Considering she did toss her out the window before, and if she was being forced to kill... But given her personality and morals and ethics and such...well that seemed fairly out of character for the Spider. Not that she was complaining or anything of course. Now she had traitor and murderer to go on. Actually a bit better than she was expecting to hear.

A faint but wicked smile curled around Richard's lips as he looked over to Gossamer. "Oh, yes. You wouldn't believe some of the things did while she worked for me." he replied in a devilish tone. "And though she'll never admit it, she did start to enjoy working for me after time." he continued, then paused as if he were thinking about something. "Anyway, while I had Arachnis alone and unable to escape, I had Sapphire relieve him of his powers. Because of her...power rank, and because they have the same type of power, she has a great bit of control over him. She simply never found the need to use such power over him. Without his strength or power, I could finally give him the long and well deserved beating I had been waiting for. I released him, and sapphire stood in the corner of the room emotionlessly watching." he said, then his smile grew. "I must say, with all the grief he had caused me before, it was well worth it."His grin fell a bit. "Unfortunatly the whole thing started to get at Sapphire, and she was finding it difficult to watch. When he started begging for her to help him, well that didn't help much either. I had lost my temper with another one of her teamates beforehand, killing him in front of her. I'm sure she was picturing that incident as well. With the consequences, she knew better than to get in the way though."

Gossamer's smile grew. She started to enjoy it, did she? Oh were she and the bug going to have a nice little talk when they met again. Little miss goodey-two-shoes was actually little miss hypocrite. "But let me guess, she decided to help him out anyway? Right?"

Joker chuckled out loud a bit; okay, the suit would get to live, too. This plot was disturbingly brilliant. He could just picture Catwoman in the same position as Sapphire Spider, with Bats-For-Brains in the place of this Arachnis character. Maybe he could kill the new Bratgirl, or maybe another Robin, in order to capture the role of the murdered teammate. He could hold all of the large cats in the country hostage, via remote-detonated Joker Venom bombs, redesigned a bit so that they'd affect the cats only, maybe even go ahead and kill one or two so she knew he wasn't bluffing. He could also take a few family members hostage, too; he remembered Selina from Arkham, and wouldn't hesitate to use that fact. Catwoman looked out for number one, first and foremost, and targeting both her family AND her passion would ensure that 'taking care of number one' included doing anything he wanted. ANYTHING he wanted. He laughed to himself at the thoughts and ideas this was generating in his mind. Hearing her question, he looked at Gossamer again and answered for Blackstone, saying, almost whispering, so that he wouldn't ruin the excellent mood that the suit's story was generating, "Of COURSE she did. Otherwise, as far as I can tell from the deatils, it would be a 'Got 'Im' story, and would therefore not have been chosen for our listening pleasure. Right, Blackhead?"

Blackstone grinned a bit. "In a way. She knew I wouldn't have allowed her to interfear, but she also knew that didn't mean that the others weren't allowed. I had every floor leading to the basement locked, but she apparently decided to use her strands to unlock certain doors, opening the way for the rest of her old team to reach us. It wasn't the first time she'd twisted things to try and help her old team, knowing that I wouldn't have allowed it. There were always consequenses for her actions of course, but since she technically hadn't done anything, the punishment wasn't as severe as if she had. She'd recieve whatever punishment was reserved for her family...or whatever I thought appropriate. Anyway, the rest of the team arrived and I had to turn my attention to them instead of Arachnis. The rest of my men finally arrived, and I found that both Sapphire and Arachnis were gone." he said. He scoffed a bit and a faint smile curled around his mouth. "She'd taken him away to another room to heal, and allow him the ability to use his powers again. I didn't know that at the time, as she found me holding a bloodied knife and clearly distraught. She claimed that he hated her even more, and used what strength he had to attack her, so she lost it herself and killed him. I approached her to calm her down, and take the knife from her. She used the opportunity to relieve me of the one ability I had to control her powers. Since she could fully use them around me, she used her powers to try and clear my memory of Arachnis and herself. It worked as far as Arachnis, then I'd managed to get my hands on her. She did manage to get away though, but not easily. Arachnis caught up with her on their way out...and trapped her in the hallway so she couldn't escape." he said with a twisted smile. "One of the other people I had working for me, unknown to anyone, could manipulate other's emotions. She'd found Arachnis and brought out every bit of hatered and loathing he had. When he found Sapphire, he dissregarded the fact that she did save him in the end and trapped her where she was. Told her that she refused to return to them when they begged her to, seemed only fitting to refuse her return now that she wanted. Knowing what would happen when I found her, she begged for them to help her. Arachnis and the others responded by walking away and out the exit." he said, taking another sip of his drink. "By the time they gained their sences back, and seen the news report about the explosions and massacres in a few locations that would only be of importance to a few of them, they rushed back, unable to find her. Unfortunately two of the members had returned much earlier that the others. They apparently hadn't been effected like the others and had returned for her. They found her broken and bled out....but, of cource, managed to bring her back." he said, then chuckled a bit. "She was not pleased with any of them...and given the chance, probably would have killed them all on her own."

'Well, at least Catwoman doesn't have 'strands'', thought Joker to himself. "Hey, look at it this way," he said to Blackstone, "You've put them forever at each others throat's from that point on, you can count on that." Joker looked around again. "So, who's next?"
"ME!" Killer Croc said, slamming his fist into the table. "I was in this quarry, and there he was! I started running, but he gave chase and started gaining on me, faster and faster..."
"What did you do?" Joker asked.
"I THREW A ROCK AT HIM!"
Joker looked at him, almost at a loss for words out of disappointment. He looked around and asked, "So, anyone else?"
"...It was a BIG rock..."
"Anyone?"
Killer Croc slouched, a little downtrodden.

"I've got a few," came a highly amused, oddly pitched sort of voice from the shadows off to one side of the bar, "But then a goblin's wails are naught but fairytales! Also, I'm in a rhyming sort of mood, and would hate to annoy." The last word was immediately followed by a wicked cackle that sounded like the essence of absolute insanity and malice given a voice.

Ivy blinked, honestly surprised. How long had someone been there? "If you're going to say something," she snapped, "Just say it. I'm already predisposed to be annoyed because of your stupid laugh." With that, she shot a pointed glare toward the Joker.

Joker raised his hands in mock-defence, saying, "Don't look at ME, I didn't do that; I leave the voice-throwing to Ventriloquist, Heh heh heh..." He then looked out in the direction of the new voice, and said, "Yes, come out, you've already made Miss Isley somewhat more annoyed than she already was, so showing up CAN'T make things much worse for you... And if they do, we can always kill you... Heh heh.."

"Well," the voice said whimsically, "You certainly would not be the first to try." With that, a bright green, long nosed face --that looked for all the world as though it belonged to a real goblin-- leaned out of the darkness. "Which is actually one of the major plot points in my trrragic tale." He chuckled darkly, then cleared his throat. "You see, once upon a time there was a noble hero who ran around in red and blue tights. No accounting for taste, I suppose. He saved hundreds of people, and despite his consistent problems with the press, he really felt as though he was doing some good." He paused for a moment, and enormous, insane grin spreading across his face. "Unfortunately, it was at this point when a certain pest started to plague him. Some loony in a green rubber mask... Though a really nice one, if I do say so myself... who was sort of the exact opposite of our beloved hero. His antithesis, if you will," he added, with a slight nod in the Joker's direction.

Joker's eyes lit up. "I know the hero in question! Spider-Man! The only hero I know who'd try to save a newspaper that smashes his name about every edition!" He looked at Ivy. "I might have told you about that particular Univere-merging thingy, another one of Web-Head's enemies, Carnage, grabbed me from Gotham's Finest in order to help him kill the Wall-Crawler. Batman showed up, as usual, we had a couple laughs, and everything went back to normal not long after." He tuned back to the goblin-like guest. "And I would wager that THAT would make YOU that really nice loony in the rubber mask, playing the same cherished role of anti-thesis to Spider-Man that I hold with Batman, yes?"

"Precisely," the Gobin said, stepping fully out into the light for a bow. "Although I believe I said a 'loony in a really nice rubber mask'..." He paused, leering his famous leer. "I hate to split hairs, I can't let myself be labeled as a 'nice' loony; false advertising and all that. You are right about the Bugle," he added thoughtfully, "Never understood his willingness to put his life on the line for dear old JJ. Of course, I don't understand why he can't just take a pumpkin bomb to the face like a good little spider, either, but then, as you have so astutely pointed out... What would I do if he did? I'd just be so... bored." He tittered a bit to himself, then continued. "In any case, our web-slinging hero managed to do fairly well for himself despite my, eh... playful interference. He even got himself a girlfriend. Pretty little thing. I suppose he didn't stop to think about what might happen to such a pretty little thing if someone like... well, me found out about their budding relationship."
