She lied. Okay, and? What was her point? Why was she getting all upset and dramatic? Criofan didn't like people who darted the point, though he did it all the time himself as part of his little games. What was she going on about? Who was this he, and why was she griping about waiting too long? None of this made sense, and it was absolutely frustrating to the faerie to the point where he didn't even notice what she had dropped.

"Calm down!" He shouted after her, not sure what else to say. The leprechaun was never too comforting, and honestly, he wasn't sure what the problem was. Nothing had ever fallen apart; what was she talking about?! All of their interactions since they had become teenagers had been odd, though, so he shouldn't have been too surprised...

It wasn't like she flew far, landing instead into a tree. Like she was really going back to HQ, ha! Tartara would have a field day after seeing her like this. Probably march up to Criofans room and demand he start dating her. She touched her chest where her necklace had sat for years and buried her face in her knees. She was an idiot. A complete...and total idiot. For the first time she could ever recall in her entire life...erylia began to cry.

Why the hell was she flying into the trees? That wasn't the direction of the Pae'il Headquarters, that was the bloody forest. The leprechaun threw his arms in the air in frustration before deciding to follow the demon, mainly with the intention of making sure she didn't do anything stupid in all of her weird ramblings he didn't actually understand.

And then he heard sobbing. Now what? This girl was more emotional than Aysu.

"Ya should stop cryin' now!" He shouted in the direction of the trees, cupping his hands around his mouth so his voice projected a little further. He continued, "Ah don't know what your problem is, but ya should calm down!" And that was as comforting as the leprechaun got. Emotions weren't really his strong point. He was more of the logical type.

...he...he FOLLOWED her?! She almost chocked on her own sobs, completely mortified now. She didn't show real emotions. She just didn't. It would only ruin her fun. And now...now she was blubbering like a baby infront of the one pae she actually cared about seeing. Erylia wiped her eyes, wondering if things could possibly get worse...before instantly knocking on the tree she was on. She didn't know how, but she wouldn't jinx herself. "Criofan, can't you understand? I was talking about YOU!" And there it was. The 'you' seemed to echo through the forest, bringing her face to a fire. There it was. Admitted to herself, and him, simultaneously. What a way to go.

"Oh, Ah see." Somehow, this felt even more awkward than before. At least now she actually mentioned what she was talking about, but now he had no clue how to respond at all. "Get down from there before ya' fall or something!" He wasn't actually responding to her shout, but he did seem concerned about getting her down from the tree in her shaken state. All he needed was for her to fall; then he'd have some blubbering, severely injured emotional girl on his hands.

"Ah'll catch ya." That wasn't physically possible for him; he'd probably end up dropping her. It was still a find thing to offer. Maybe she'd calm down if he tried to help her or something.

It got worse. Embarrassed, the female jumped off of the tree as she extended her wings to slow her decent. With a few flaps, her right foot quite delicately touched the ground before criofan. He wanted one tear streaked, slightly frazzled demonic. He got one tear streaked, slightly frazzled demonic. "I'm not sure what else to say right now." She whispered, a hand coming up to wipe away the remaining tears. She felt like she had just been caught by her mother when doing something foolish. So much for her dramatic exit out of his life.

Good, she didn't actually go with his 'I'll catch you' idea. He would have dropped her, even if he hadn't wanted to. Now he could just look this frazzled, crying demonic in the eyes and wonder what the hell to do now that she had gotten herself out of the tree. It didn't matter how lucky Criofan was, he still had no idea how to deal with this new situation. "Honestly, Ah'm not sure either."

He knit his brows, clearly more confused than annoyed now, and then decided, "Why don't we go back to the HQ? So you can clean yourself up or something." Crying made make-up run or something, right? It didn't matter, she still looked bad... and honestly, Criofan wasn't sure what else to do besides keep going to the place where they had been going in the first place.

"I guess." She sighed and continued to walk, scrubbing at her other eye. It took some effort, but after a bit, Erylia was looking just about as good as she ever did. A hand strayed to touch her now bare chest, feeling for the necklace that wasn't there anymore. This was good though. Now she was absolutely, one hundred percent, without a single doubt sure that Criofan didn't feel the same way anymore. She could move on. Find one of those artist pae's maybe. Raise a family. The thought was hilarious enough to make her faintly smile. Just a bit. Just a little bit.

Honestly, Criofan just didn't know how to deal with this. Did he like her? Did it even matter now? She seemed to be fine, and if she was fine, he felt better because then he didn't have to deal with her acting like some kind of emotional hummingbird with the speed she changed her mind. Criofan, still with the dress and heels on, shuffled his feet and headed towards the Headquarters in silence.

It took a few minutes, but he finally dared open his mouth again and ask, "Ya alright now?" He really didn't want her to start crying again. Please don't start crying again. Criofan couldn't deal with crying. He didn't even know how to deal with what she said. Why had he asked? Please don't cry, damn it, don't cry...

A few minutes of silence passed, the female collecting her wits back around her. She took deep breaths to calm her already fluttering heart. "Yeah, I'm fine now." The female spoke softly, flashing the tiniest of smiles towards criofan. There was no point in moping anyway.

Maybe the Guardians did exist. He glanced up to the sky and muttered a, "Thank you," before turning to Erylia. Now he could not deal with whatever she was going on about with him and the failure at the masquerade and whatever... what was that again? "Glad ya better now..." And there was nothing more to say. Criofan became quiet again, not even returning the smile. Instead, he seemed a little contemplative, perhaps lost in his thoughts somewhere.

He didn't speak again until he spotted the Headquarters getting close. "Ya want peanut butter and jelly or something?" It seemed like he was trying to rewind their conversation somehow, as if her outburst of sadness had never actually occurred at all. Yet, it had, and what she said was echoing in the back of his head. ...Bah, what was done was done. Right? It was over now. Even if he was interested, he blew it.

She almost winced, almost. It was awkward now, as to be expected. It was touching though. Even though she basically told him everything, he still wanted to be friends. The display of kindness was not the typical Criofan, and something to be treasured. "Yeah. Simple enough to make. You?" Small talk. She always hated it, as it only danced around a true motive. Whether it was to dance or to lead to bed or what ever, it only postponed things. But in this case, it was a way to avoid what just happened. Which was a-okay with her.

Criofan was lost in his thoughts again when Erylia decided to respond, and so came out with a strangely punctuated thought, "They're... Yeah, they're. Fun." An oddly long pause. "To make kiss." ...What was he talking about? The leprechaun didn't even notice that what he said hadn't made any sense in context, as his face twisted back into that contemplative look. While he was trying to avoid what happened, he couldn't stop thinking about it because the event had been so unbelievably awkward for him.

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches would get his mind off of it, right? The faerie came back to reality a few moments later, before turning to Erylia. "So yeah, let's make them." Criofan's smile looked a little forced, but at least he was trying. At the same time, he had never really confronted a situation like this before, and no amount of wit could tell him how to deal with a girl that was in love with him.

To make kiss? Was he mocking her now? The female deeply blushed, looking away from him. "Yeah...they're good with milk you know?" This was almost tochurous. She laughed softly, to fill the gap. "Any other plans for the day?" She felt so...so...ridiculous. Like she was pretending to be normal. "All I was going to do was paint or read or something..." Never once did she look back at him though, nursing her wounds.

Was she blushing? What had he said? Honestly, he didn't even remember, hence his somewhat repetitive and coherent later sentence. Criofan rubbed his neck. As if it wasn't awkward before, now she was blushing for no reason. What was he going to do with this mess? "Paint or read? That's awfully dull." But what else was there to do? Usually when he would say that, he would follow it up with something. Right now, with the awkwardness hanging in the air, there was nothing.

...Talk about a case of location, location, location. Erylia said something at the wrong place, when Criofan was already frustrated and baffled, and now they were both confused. "Ah wasn't planning on much else, though. It's a little dull out in general... Maybe we should just eat an' think about you, err, that later." At least he caught that slip-up this time, but it seemed he really was attempting to push something away.
