Yoske grew warier when she realized that the cave that she had hoped to stay in the shadows of seemed to no longer be there.
Great. In the sun, in what was probably a dangerous situation, without a way to retreat.
She gritted her teeth, and pulled her hood lower. what if the bright sun illuminated her face?

But what else could it be but a trap, made to weaken their group? Triton was the only one who wasn't vulnerable to sunlight...
the thought made her even warier.

she felt unprotected from the back, now, but she wanted to keep an eye on Triton...
Oh, the choices.
Couldn't put her back to that immensity of water, she knew all too well that beauty often held terrible secrets.
couldn't put her back to triton and the others, since they would be in danger... well, Triton would be.
Couldn't put her back to anything else, either.
So, since it was the most reasonable option, she kept herself staring at Triton, her back straight.

Group A

Se tossed hir head to the side, glancing towards the others behind the Hylian. Three of them were mostly undead, two of them more so than the other. It seemed odd to hir that the four had traveled together, mostly because the one who was talking to hir was quite alive. The entity lowered hir head slightly, trying to judge their alignment-- all of which were strange shades of gray and darker. It was terribly confusing.

However, it did not matter. It did not matter whether they were good or evil. They were here; that meant they were intruders. Se was a guard against intruders. All at once, the entity seemed to tremble. Hir head ducked down, shield hir face from sight.

"Leave! At once, or else!"

The ocean crashed against the sand again, calling hir. Se turned, stepping into the water that began to swarm and coil around her like snakes.

Group B

Suddenly, whatever had been swiftly gliding against the ice stopped, as if alerted by the two's presence. It seemed to debate a little before quickly gliding over to them across the ice. "Intruders!" Its voice called, almost cheerfully glad of their presence, as it probably freed it of its boredom. "Visitors!" The thing said again, close enough to be visible now.

It was a handsome creature, but neither hylian nor human, and young enough to look like a teen. Its skin was light blue with hair that was more ice than hair. The male, as it did not seem female in the slightest, gave off a feeling of cold. "Leave!" He said first, and then, rather in childish contradiction, "Play!"

Group C

As they continued, the tunnel suddenly ended before them as the exit that revealed that they appeared to be many hundreds of feet above the next step! Falling would result in immediate death, if not already. Ahead, once examined closer, there were small pieces of ground floating in the air without being attached to anything in particular.

Something bright red flew about, casting occasional red feathers to the wind as it glided through the air. After a few minutes, it landed on top of what seemed to be a gazebo, built on one of the larger patches of ground that floated in the air.

Veaka would've left, maybe. It was so cold.
But she would much rather play. stupid serious adult visitors to the forest... boring and didn't take pranks well. even the kids didn't like her much... silly. she didn't know why.
Did this male thing want her to leave or to play? she was confused.
"Hi...?"
She said, waving at the icy thing. She smiled a smile cute on her child face. He looked like fun, whatever he was.
"Your pretty!" she blurted, almost shyly.

Orina was curious, but not curious enough to leave her warm place.
"Veaka, we can't leave! That Cat'll burn us! I don't wanna get burnt!"
called the fairy, wishing she could see what Veaka saw.
"We might as well play."

Veaka smiled wider. Why not?! even without that cat as a reason, she preferred playing.
"What do you wanna play?"
she asked, now hopeful.
he seemed almost happy to talk to her, probably more bored than herself.
She was glad that she hadn't gone with all the icky serious adults, they'd probably make her not play.
Stupid adults. she was glad she'd never grow up.

Triton drew his sword purely out of reflex, eyes widening as he watched the shim step into the water, the sea suddenly becoming scary as it coiled about sis form. Well apparently there would be no vacation time for them here, no playing in the waves and the sand..this..creature whatever it may be meant business, and obviously wanted them gone, one way or another.

"Leave? Yeah sure I'm on it, heh I'll just snag my magical flying carpet and whisk on out of here for you, no prob" triton said with quite a bit of sarcasm, taking a few cautionary steps away from the furious creature. Man what had he done to tick it off huh? "Our escape rout seems to have vanished, and as much as I'd love to run out into this infinite desert of a beach and fry to death, I feel its much safer to stay right here"a complete lie, it was hardly safe where they were, actually he'd probably just started a fight with this thing without meaning to. Still..the sun the way it was, nothing but sand for miles, he wasn't about to lead his group of darkling's out away from the sea and into further harshness of the light, at least with the ocean in view they could guess where they were going..

Yoske's eyes widened, their glow lost in the sunlight.
There WAS danger here after all. And it was that... individual.
Her hunches were always right.
She approached slowly, ready to back up Triton.
Idiot. Sarcasm wouldn't work. On anything. not on this.
She had a feeling that this was a fight for their lives... or whatever she had. existance. Physicality.
Screw it, it was a fight to preserve Triton's life, least thats what it seemed.
She stopped, still a ways away from Triton, unsure of whether to strike or not.
She tensed, whether she had actual physical muscles or not, she still tensed.

"Hm."

A low hum was all the warning Tonberry gave as he stopped. Soti, paying little attention to where they were going, almost stumbled ahead. Catching herself, she looked back to brush off her behind and started violently.

"Oh my..." She leaned over and peered out over the edge of the walkway. "That's a big drop."

Pinkin floated out over the empty space. "Hey, there's pieces of ground out here! And...hey what's that?" As she hovered above a piece of land, Soti and Tonberry looked up.

"Bird." Tonberry said simply and lifted his knife to poke the air in front of him tentatively. They watched the red blur make a round about the cavern and land on a piece of land further out.

"How about everyone jump out here?" Pinkin zipped back to the corridor and danced around the purple poe. "Can you float? I heard some poe can float on the air. I'm Pinkin by the way. This is Soti, the tall one, and Tonberry, the, uh, not tall one. What's your name?"

Soti turned away from Pinkin's excited introductions out to the floating islands. Staying put meant making nice with the new people. Like that pink thing probably still hanging out up on the ceiling... Soti looked down at Tonberry. "Do you float?" Tonberry looked up at her and blinked. Twice. "Yea I figured not." Soti concluded and knelt down. "Just don't doink me, ok?" With a squeaky grunt, Tonberry hopped up on her back, lantern over one of her shoulders, knife over the other.

"It's so nice to meet people, I'm so glad we got out today..."
Pinkin babbled behind them. Soti sighed heavily, took a step back, and jumped out to the first island.

Lilli looked out over the expanse and watched the strange bird along with the others. She looked at the pink light as it swirled around her, "Yes, I can float. My name is Lilli." She didn't bother with her full name, leaning on her nickname as she had grown accustomed to doing. "A pleasure to meet you all," she curtsied in mid air, then watched the Kokiri child jump to the first floating island. She drifted after them, gliding over the gap between the ledge and the first island.

Group A

The water seemed chaotic now, less beautiful and more scary. The waves were growing bigger, and more water twirled around the entity. Se stepped closer to the water, and parts of her body seemed to grow transparent and watery itself. Suddenly, a large tidal wave of water rose up, and within seconds, came crashing down on them all.

Group B
The icy eyes of the entity narrowed, cocking his head in confusion. What did he want to play? It had been such a long time since he'd done something enjoyable with anyone else. He huffed, seeming to frost up the temperature some more. "What do you usually play?" he asked, finally.

Group C

The island seemed to tremble underneath their weight, but continued to hold up steadily. However, as a few seconds past, the other islands in front of them seemed to glow-- as if setting up for something-- and doubled in number. Some of them blinked, wavering in the air in transparency, and some of them moved to and fro, daring them to hop on it.

as the ocean seemed to change, Yoske got fed up with waiting for this thing to do whatever it was doing. She leapt at the entity, her long curved daggers readied for a strike like the fangs of a snake.
Too late. The tidal wave slammed her to the ground midleap, crushing her.
For a moment, she wondered if she could drown. then she realized she wasn't holding her breath. she supposed she didn't breathe anyway, not like she'd noticed.
So that wasn't going to happen. But...
She tried to swim.
She couldn't move. too much water, too many clothes.
She became aware of a burning sensation on her outside... she didn't even want to know why.
she tried to flex her hand. No good. But, through the burning sensation, she could feel that one of her daggers had come away. damn. It was a nice dagger too.
she wasn't sure about the other snakefang, but she had other weapons, all nice and secure.

She wondered how the others had fared, as the rushing water spun her around and around.
The banshee would probably be fine. Kaiba's lantern could be extinguished, and from what she knew of poes that would basically kill him. But, would that flame die in water? It was a spirit flame...
But Triton... He breathed and lived. this could be bad.
at that thought, she tried to move, to swim, to try to rescue him.
it was easier, but she doubted if she'd be able to rescue him when she could barely move in all the clothes. Besides, with all the swirling angry water, she couldn't see him.

Veaka shivered at the change in temperature, and shrugged. "I like to play t..t...tag" she said, trying not to chatter.
"M.. maybe it'll be more fun on the ice. I always end up playing it on the ground because nobody plays it in the trees with me."
He didn't mind the cold, and she wanted to play.

Shaking violently, Soti's knees nearly buckled as the island trembled under her weight. The tremor seemed to pass as she gained her balance, and she stood up, hunched over with Tonberry's weight. She looked back at the purple poe, Lilli apparently, floating up to them. "Uhh, yea. Good thing you can float there...not sure we could take much more weight here." She half-smiled awkwardly and turned back to look for the pink thing. Almost losing her balance in the process, she quickly turned back to front. It would catch up if it needed to. Swallowing, she decided she would be okay with it if the rather creepy creature fell behind just a bit. The vision in front of her startled her a bit and she wavered again. "Well, um..."

"Well that's kindof strange." Pinkin giggled as she danced next to Soti. There were twice as many islands now, and many were moving. Some didn't even look real...

Tonberry strained to see over Soti's shoulder and saw that their next island was now moving. "Jump." He grunted, straining momentarily as though executing the action on her back.

"Yea, yea..." Soti eyed the islands that winked in and out of existence like illusions. "Hey Pinkin, could you go check and make sure that next one is actually there?"

"Great idea! Hey Lilli, how about we go check out those islands!" Laughing, she danced away and bounced lightly on the first island as it stopped in front of them. Soti sighed. Pinkin was way too happy. Just because they were now traveling with someone did not mean she was ready for a social life... The island traveled back towards them, and Soti jumped to it as it paused at the turn of its cycle near them.

Lilli observed their island's shaking and the others appearance quietly. It was obvious this place was perilous, and if she weren't already passed on and able to fly she might have worried. She watched the little blob of pink light and nodded, "Yes, we'll check the islands ahead to see if they are stable." Flying with Pinkin, then past her to the next island, she prepared daggers of violet flame. Throwing the dagger down onto the next platform, on of two near enough for Soti to jump to, she blinked as it passed right through, falling to the depths below. Over her shoulder, she called, "This one is an illusion. That one," she threw a dagger at the other platform and it stuck into its side, "is real, and the one to take."

Kaibas eyes went wide, wondering what horrible trouble triton had started. Not having much time to wonder really, seeing the wave bearing down on top of them. The poe acting quickly swearing boldly within his own thoughts as he sealed himself within his sturdy glass lantern, praying to some unknown dark diety, as he left himself tightly within whinnies grasp, hping the banshee would hold onto his lantern. Hardly worrying about whinnies safety or yoske's, neither of the girls needed air and he simply needed to keep his little embery soul flame safe, a twinge of guilt coming into his mind for triton, poor poor thing Ah well! He hoped his companion could swim

"Oh..Holy shi.." taking a last shocked gasping breath before the torrent of thick crushing water crashed over him, he'd never seen a wave come up so hard on a beach before. Again what had he done to make this creature so angry!! Nothing probably but still! He felt his sword slip away knocked from his hand, stuck somewhere in the deep beach sand..
The water was thick and heavy, odd for just normal salty sea, dragging on every part of him, soaking him to the bone as he felt the land slip out from beneath his feet..were they being dragged out into the ocean?! He had no way to tell, or fight down his panic, worrying about the others, not that they'd die but that they'd be hurt, lost maybe. The burning sensation, a need for air irritating his lungs as he kept his eyes shut tight, knowing that if hed open them all he would get would be stinging blurred vision. He just had to follow kaiba down the left path!!

Group A

The entity was of no more, merely bubbles against the water, perhaps.

The water itself seemed to go on and on forever, slinking further up the scape of the land in all its sandy glory. Would they drown and plummet to the bottom of the water? Or would they swim, trying to survive with every last of their strength?

Something cold and strong seemed to coil around Triton's foot, heaving the Hylian to the surface. 'Leave!' it demanded, screaming into the Hylian's mind, before pulling him quickly up the water's depths before he could drown. It did not care for the others.

Group B

"Then we shall play tag," the frosty entity remarked joyfully, stepping back. Tall spires of ice sprouted from the ground, shrouding parts of the cavern. "I will be 'it'! You will run!" It slid backwards, gliding gracefully against the ice beneath its bare feet.

"I will eat you if I win!"

Group C

The adventurers progressed with mild ease, it seemed. The crimson entity chirped loudly for a moment, flapping its wings that causes whirling bits of air to fly against them. Its talons clenched around a large hoop on the gazebo, and it flapped harder to bring it up into the air with it.

"You are intruders!" It screeched loudly. "How evil, evil!"
