The rhythm of flame and many footsteps continues, the small bird sounds interject here and there but the bird is mainly just quiet and observant for the most part. Sitting high on Perrian's shoulders it eyes the boys while preening Perrian's hair. The squeaks and clicks seem to have vanish and your journey is uninterrupted for the time being.

Perrian smirked and remained standing tall as he walked to Varnis. "Well, we moving onwards or what?" Perrian asked the group.

"I don't see anywhere else to go." Bellamin shrugged and peered down into the darkness behind him. "Besides, we might find something for kindling ahead. And then we can eat the feather thing."

As you continue forward a stone wall appears ahead of you abruptly. The tunnel you have been traveling splits in two. Which will you chose left or right. to the left a breeze can be heard and through the dim, on the right a small dot of little dangles freely in the distance.

Perrian stopped at the wall and pondered the decision laid before them. It was right or left, he knew. Towards to breeze or towards to the light. If they went towards the light, would the group ever feel a nice breeze again? Though, if they went towards to the breeze, would they walk in darkness the whole way? For him, his idea of the better route was odd. He thought that breeze was important than light. So what if they have light or not? Our eyes will adjust, he thought. But a breeze, a crisp cool breeze. It revitalizes the spirit, freshens the souls, and brings back a sense of adventure to make him, and hopefully some of the group, want to continue on to see what's further, regardless of his fears of what the heck may be in this WEIRD maze-like-thing. He looked towards the breeze, hoping that would indicate his answer, but waited to hear what the others had to say before he spoke out.

"I say we go with the left side. A breeze means that the tunnel eventually connects to an opening. The right, with no wind, could mean a dead end." Bellamin pondered a bit. "What do you guys think?"

Feeling the breeze on his face, Varnis felt calm again. Relaxing he looked at both the tunnels, and heard what Bellamin said. "Feels nice to feel the wind again." He looked down both tunnels, and tried to see as far down as he could. He wasn't really sure of which way they should go. "Youre... asking the wrong guy." He continued to look into the darknes of both of them as he tried to see anything else.

"I say we head left, the brees means that it leads somewhere. Wereas the light could just lead to a trap or a monster."

Perrian nodded and looked at the pheonix that was resting on his shoulder. "Well, left it is, I guess?" He said and started to walk to the left, hoping the others would follow.

"Just a minute." Bellamin looked around on his little utility belt to find something to use as 'breadcrumbs' if return was needed. Unfortunatly, all he found was his little metal flask of liquid courage. It was something he was not ready to part with.
Not wanting for Perrian to go all alone with what might be their only source of food if need be, the spellsword followed.

As you continue forward the ground beneath your feet gets softer, where the ground was all stone before, now grass peeps through. The torches on either side of the passage seem to move further and further away. Before the walls were so tall that they blocked out all light now as the walls move away from each other a bit of light can seep in. The whole corridor adopts the color of twilight. The walls, the grass, and the now visible small trees all take on a blue tint. The further you move the trees are taller and tiny specks of light drift through the air painting a surreal scene. On the ground ahead of your group appears yet another wicker basket, this one has a clothe inside hindering your view of whatever may be inside.

Bellamin sniffed the air. Compared to what they just walked through, it seemed very fresh and quite lovely. "You know, I think there's somebody out there looking out for us by leaving these things." He eyed to basket.
The spellsword looks around and headed towards the basket and proceeded in tapping it with his foot.

A sweet smell lingers to your nostrils. A fruity, savory smell that you just can't put a finger on. The covering doesn't move far enough for you to see whats inside, but you can see that a shimmering thin line leads to a flowering white-blue tree near the basket on which hangs some oddly shaped purple fruit hanging there.
(The fruit has an effect but you won't know until you eat it)

Varnis' stomach began to growl as the sweet smell reached him. Looking about he noticed the tree, and walked over to it. Picking a fruit off the tree, he sniffed it, then took a bite not smelling anything bad about it.

You are enveloped in a shining purple aura. The skin all over your body gets warm and prickly, then stops. You feel giddy and powerful, like a caffeine rush only better. The aura fades after a moment and the feeling of indestructibility soon follows it.
(Increases your defense stat by 4 for that battle) (I wouldn't eat more than one too close together)
