Bella nodded. "This is. But that," she pointed to a (at least visible to her anyway) gathering, misty, huge mass of energy brewing far off, "is much bigger. I've been sensing it for a while, and when all of you guys came in-- well, I jumped the gun a little. I have no idea when it's going to blow. And, honestly, I'm afraid. I don't know what I'm supposed to do! I'm a hundred percent human, unlike you guys, but I can see. I don't know where my place is in this. I'm already wrapped up in this, but I can't fight. I've never been to any kind of training or practice in my life, save archery at summer camp when I was little."

Pandora nodded her head at Bellatrix. " Then you come over here and keep Kayley safe at all costs. If you don't know how to fight that's the best place for you." She then looked over and sighed in relief when she saw that Blayd had managed to kill the monster.

Bella furrowed her brow and turned to Tony and Callidora, then back at Pandora and Kaylie.

"Uh-oh," she said, "it looks like we're not the only ones who've noticed."

(sorry, i thought you weren't going to fight, i got confoosed XD generally it's best not to say anything about a persons character and just ASSUME that something happened, then let them explain what happened themselves) blayd landed on the ground, panting, as he felt himself returning to normal. he quickly grabbed a bag he had been holding and used it as a glove. he cut the hydra's gums and took a few teeth, putting them in the bag and hoping there was n't any poison on them. he then returned to the diner and saw what had happened, only then did he realize what he had done. Bella pointed to draw their attention to the rest of the diner behind them. All over, people were whispering, questioning, wondering whether they should panic. Some had already pulled tables over to hide behind, while others were staring suspiciously at them. Some roudy little kids were still screaming, while their parents pulled them in to shush them.

"That was amazing Blayd," she said, "But seeing as you're alive, I think we've got another problem. Anyone have an idea for what we do now?" she whispered.

"Not a clue..." Calli said going over to the scene of the attack. "I wonder how we're going to get rid of this thing, my book says that the Hydra's entire body is poison to regular humans."

She looked at the Bella, Tony, Pandora and Blayd and figured that none of them, including herself would be considered regular, everyday, normal humans; especially since they had all reacted more naturally than the other people. And that thing was definatly a hydra just like the one in her book and it just demolished part of the grill. Which was a little ironic because she'd been thinking over the waitress job.

"Maybe the best idea is to keep people from trying to move the hydra."

"Pandora, if you need a place to crash my apartment isn't the biggest but it should be better than the alternative."

Bellatrix had stood in silence, watching. Tony was descended from Heracles. And now that that peice was declared, she felt almost sure Callidora was too. She was still uncertain of Pandora. It was like watching a tape of something that was an early memory, while the little puzzle peices were summoned into your head to gradually recognize it. Like remembering that blue house, or recognizing that old lady at the door as your grandma.

"No," Bella said, finally. "We're not splitting up tonight. Now that we've met, it's too dangerous. Look at what happened... right around when Pandora tried to go home. The sword and the hydra would have popped up anyway, but it's a sign. Nobody leaves."

She looked around at the others grimly, Tony with rock and drippy green hydra juice on his hand, Blayd, sweaty and armed, looking like a warrior. Callidora still in her waitress uniform, disheveled, and who knows where was that girl in the Greek armor, and Pandora carrying the still-sleeping Kayley.

"So..." Bella said slowly, deliberating, "we'll each go back to our houses. Gather whatever you may need for a night, a battle, or even traveling if it comes to that. We meet back here in half an hour to go to my house. I suppose it doesn't have to be mine, but you all don't exactly look like you live in mansions. I think I've got room.
And Pandora, if it's at all okay to separate you, I think I know where we can keep Kayley safe. I have a five-year-old cousin, and I'm sure his nanny won't mind looking after her for a while."

Bellatrix didn't for a minute think that she could separate the two, but it was a try. If it came down to it, Pandora would be a fighter, and there was no safe place for Kayley there.
