Tokeru smiled then seemed to hesitate for a moment.
"There is also one more thing. This one is optional and you do not need to do it if it makes you uncomfortable."
He put his hand inside a pocket and withdrew what seemed to be a very small needle with wires instead of a needle.
"This is a micro chip that will prevent any altering of your mental state, in the event of your capture, it would prevent brainwashing. However, the implantation process is quite painful, incredibly painful, and so dangerous that you cannot be sedated while it is done. I will not encourage that you take this option, but if you do want to, you may."

"I completely trust in your plans, but if you encourage me not to, I won't." He paused. "Besides, if they brainwash me, there's only one thing I need you to do." He spoke quietly to Tokeru, so that Amnity wouldn't hear. "Remind me that Alasdair shot Credo. That should trigger me to go Lycan, especially if I'm so close to him. If I reach that point... I wish them good luck trying to keep me contained." "Okay? I'm not positive it'll work, but if it does, I might actually take him out."

Tokeru nodded and replaced the chip in his pocket. "If you are captured, I'll be there before you have the chance to be brainwashed. I have planned for every eventuality. With Alasdair gone we may have a chance at peace, I am only sad that we need to resort to such violence to achieve this end, but it is the only way. Peace through power."

He shruged. "We'll never truly achieve peace. We may be able to create an illusion of peace... we may be able to take a stride towards peace... but we will never create peace. All I want is Kuro and Raevyn back, and Alasdair's dead body. Err... more dead than now."

Tokeru looked wistfully at the cieling. "If only, if only we could stop the immortals, the humans would have peace. Peace from them, that's all I want. True peace may not exist, but the peace of them not being hunted every day can exist. That is what I want to accomplish."

Tokeru laughed. "You know what I mean. You aren't an immortal, You are a hunter. A protect of the humans, a protector of the helpless, not an immortal. The same goes with all vampires and lycan here."

He smiled. "Thank you for that clarification. I think that's a fine goal..." He said, lying slightly. He kept his smile on, even though he wasn't thinking the happiest thoughts. I just hope my parents are okay...

Tokeru heard the slight change of his voice when he lied. "That's the same with all other immortals who rebel against what happened to them and dont kill humans. It's the ones that do kill them that I consider immortals. No one else. You have my word on that. "

Tokeru grinned and chuckled. "No, but your voice changed and your eyes flickered when you lied. I've gotten good at telling these things, you have to when you deal with murderous savages who would say anything to save their own lives."

Tokeru sighed and sat down on the sofa. "A goal that will most likely never happen, but one that I will spend my life trying to accomplish. And a goal I want others to try to accomplish it after my passing. People who trust me, and believe in me, and want the same goal as me, to protect all the humans."

"That's why we're here, Tokeru." Mephlius walked down to a nearby chair, and sat down. "Directly or indirectly... I think that's why every hunter has joined. At least... I know the non-human hunters want that."
