Maria sighed because Ken had noticed... she thought she had removed all signs that she had been crying. She looked down, "It's nothing... just old memories..." She could not believe that she had classified Chris as just an old memory and she was mad at herself.

Maria shook her head lightly and said to Ken, "No... I think it would be best for me if we continued our plans to walk... it might cheer me up and help me get over the past..."

Maria smiled slightly and held out her hand to truly greet Ken, "I forgot to ask... Hello Ken... I'm Maria... so why did you come to the island?"

Maria held his hand shake and it was firm. She always liked men with firm hand shakes. She then looked up at Ken, "Wow... that is pretty lucky..."

Jasper sees Rachelle, and laughs, knowing not to talk to her. She continues on walking and sees Ken with Maria and sighed.
Rachelle checked in and put her stuff in her room.

Maria looked out at the ocean and smiled, "It is really nice out here... I came here because I was able to raise enough money and I wanted to escape from life for a little while..."
