Ice thought a moment. They had different terms for what things were for her world. At least for her organization. Which meant she'd have to try and convert everything...which she wasn't sure she'd be able to do. "Well...it takes a plain about 16 hours to get from the US to Japan. If there's an emergency and we're needed immediately, we could get there in four hours." she replied. That was the best example she could think of. "So we could get from one side of the US to the other in one to two hours."

Fury did the math in his head. "Just under Mach 2." Looking out the window again, he said, "We're heading over to the heart of New York. Keep an eye out, Rosie."

Slowly, finally, Supergirl stirred. God... she felt AWFUL. How much kryptonite had she been exposed to, anyway? Blinking, she looked around, then slowly drew herself up into a sitting position. More importantly... where the hell was she?

 ENTER from Latveria Abolisher appeared inside one of the many halls in his usual grand style. He then raised an arm towards the hall, the armor moving and reforming around it. A second later, he had a rather nasty looking gun pointed down the hall. There was a loud hummming, and suddeny a bright blinding flash followed by and ear splitting explosion. As the light died, there was nothing left in front of the Abolisher except miles of charred crater and flaming earth.

The Spectre appeared in a much less grand style than normal, a great deal less than miles away. In fact, he was within a foot of the Abolisher. The Spectre grabbed his throat again, and this time, gave it his all. He was willing to force his throat to collapse on itself this instant.

Abolisher's face instantly twisted into pain, and reflex was perhaps the only thing that saved him. He burst into flame form and slipped away from the Spectre a bit. He only half solidified himself, apparently rubbing his neck and coughing. He glanced back up at Spectre with a slight grin. "My, if I didn't know any better, I'd say I was getting on your nerves. But seriously, if it's this easy to slip past you, are you sure you killed Terragon? Perhaps he was really nothing without his shield then."

The Spectre merely looked at the Abolisher, and glared. Terragon the Balancer as dead. He had killed him.

I could... Nah. Because-- and I know you won't get this, because frankly you're dumb as a ton of bricks-- I LIKE him. In a weird sort of way. Bit complicated. I don't," she added primly, "Like you. You're an idiot, you have horrible hygiene, and I hate to hurt feelings, but you're uglier than X's cooking attempts. So. If I stop being a spectator, it's actually going to be in the new guy's favor. Sorry, kiddo."

"He cooks? I figured he just poofed something into existance." Abolisher replied, apparently not bothered by anything she had said, or Spectre for that matter. "How'd his wife take the news by the way? I noticed you didn't come to watch right away."

The Spectre began to gather energy together, when he heard a voice, a voice that no one but he heard. He looked up into the sky, with an expression that almost could be called awe. "Yes, my Lord," he responded to the Presence. He held up his hand towards the sky, and a small silver ring appeared upon his finger. It looked to be completely harmless, but in reality it was possibly the single most powerful item in existence. The Mystic Ring of Life. The Spectre closed his hand into a fist, and said, "Now, we end this."

Abolisher turned his attention back to the man, and didn't appear to be worried. Just call the other part of his shield back and....
Then, his expression did fall just a bit. The small bit of the shield he'd sent to Hoshi refused to return. Stranger, there was no trace that Hoshi was even on Earth.
So now what happened?
