Goblin smirked at the smack. He liked joker's style.

Lex gave a sigh. "Go back to gotham, your giving me a headache." He said agrvated.

Harley giggled and bounced on the balls of her feet, happy to be on good ground again with her man. She stumbled forward when the explosion shook the block, her arms pinwheeling around her until she caught her balance. She turned to see "the boys" and gave a wave. She shot Lex a raspberry and then placed herself beside the Joker, orienting herself to stand against him.

"Weeee! Shopping spree! I do hope they don't mind our withdrawal!" Harley laughed, ending in a squeak and danced in a circle with crazy glee.

Harley yelped as she was yanked into the van and rubbed her shoulder, but none the less kept her smile in place. She leaned her torso out the window, her tail waggling beside the Joker's head, and gave everyone they passed a beauty queen wave. She suddenly plopped back down beside him and gave him a thoughtful look.

"Do we have any mardi gras beads? I'm thinking that could make 'em smile!" Her grin was wicked as she looked at him, knowing that he would weaponize anything she might handout.

Roxanne glanced around at the chaos with a fairly annoyed look in her eyes. "If this place has people on gliders and girls with powers, then surely it has super heroes. Let them deal with it..." she replied.
Just then she felt someone with a large shoe step into her shadow and she shot a glance behind her. One of the Jokers thugs was standing behind her. Large guy, and not too friendly looking the way he was pointing that gun at the back of her head. She gave him a rather murderous glare out of the corner of her eye. "I wouldn't try it." she practically growled.
The man didn't listen, of course. And she didn't give him time to say anything the moment she heard the gun click. Her shadow suddenly lifted itself off the ground and wrapped itself around the man, cloaking him in a large cloud of darkness. The cape of her cloak suddenly flew up as four spider legs suddenly shot out from under it. One arm ripped the gun out of the shadow, and the other three quickly catapulted the man into a building on the other end of the street.
She looked at the unconscious body as her legs slowly retracted back into the cloak and the shadow shrank back onto the ground. She felt slightly better now.

A smile crept across Roxanne's lips. She could easily take these guys. But so far all these clowns have done was annoy her, and she wasn't one to throw the first punch. She glanced over at some thugs that were terrorizing what looked like tourists. She frowned a bit and glanced down at the ground. This wasn't her problem. There was nothing in it for her . . .
A gunshot rang out and she glanced over at a grocer laying on the ground in front of a few of the thugs. Then an old couple started calling for help. She groaned a bit and rubbed her eyes for a moment. Well . . . perhaps she could at least give these civilians some cover so they could get away.
Just then a group of thugs noticed the one that she had thrown into the wall. They glanced around before looking at her, seeing as she was one of the only ones around that stood out a bit. She grinned slightly and sighed. Looks like she had thrown the first punch anyway. Not much of a choice now...

The van speeds it’s way down the Metropolis streets, tearing up asphalt and blasting through red lights and stop signs with utter disregard for human life. The powerful front bumper of the vehicle smashes it’s way through fire hydrants, birds, and a few unlucky pedestrians. Meanwhile in the van, The Joker and his merry band of thugs accompanied by his two loyal pet hyenas, Bud and Lou, are all behaving as if the total chaos outside was a natural occurrence for them. Which it was. Joker and his goons were too busy playing Blackjack in the car, to notice. “HAHA! I win again!” Joker declares, tossing two cards on the cardboard box that served as a makeshift table. They were Jokers. “But uh... boss.” One of the thugs tries to say, bravely. Joker stares at him and responds in a serious tone. “Problems, Rocko?” “Err, of course not boss, I was just wonderin’ if we were almost there yet, that’s all. Ehehe...” Rocko replies. “What time is it, Rock?” Joker asks. Rocko, bewildered looks at his watch. “It’s 11-” BLAM. Joker takes him out with a concealed pistol.

The rest of clown crew stare at him, and begin to sweat nervously. “Honestly Rock, would it kill you to learn a little patience?” After an awkwardly silent ride, and a bunch of butt-kissing from the rest of the thugs, the van finally pulls up to the Daily Planet parking lot.

Harley had flinched as the Joker shot Rocko but then shrugged and continued to pet the hyenas.

"Neveh like you anyway!" She shot Rocko's body a raspberry and jumped down out of the van. She turned back to pat her thighs and call back for the pets.

"Come here, babies! Come to mama! Let's go for a walk!" The hyena's jumped down to laugh around her and a couple citizens noticed the large animals and started to back away in fright.

"Now go play with the nice chew toys, babies!" She patted the hyenas on their rumps with encouragment and they went yipping to the screaming bystanders. Harley stood back and whiped an imaginary tear from her eye, every bit the proud mom.

"They just grow up so fast!"
