.: Lacesette Mostlee:.Lacey had been taking been walking down the dirt path, a book in her hands. It was a nice day, she realized. Her c.d player was playing one of her favorite tracks "Helena" by My Chemical Romance. Lacey looked over at a nice grassy place to sit. She used her plaid black and green sweater as a quilt. Delta, her cat, had sprawled behind Lacey, her red eyes flickering to the water. Delta's whiskers twitched as Lacey layed down on the sweater and looked up at the sky. This was her ideal day, her favorite music on and playing why she sang ever so quietly, and the sun was out in the pale blue sky.

Kari blinked curiously but said nothing to Seamus until he had finished introducing himself and gotten preoccupied with the others for a moment. As he turned back to her and spoke again, she let the shadow of a smile cross her lips. "I'm enjoying this day very much. It is a truely nice day, is it not?" She commented, trying not to make herself stutter as she always did.

Lacey had stared out at the blue sky, wondering about her family, at least what was left of it. She saw a group of kids out front but didn't feel like talking to them, she never seemed to connect with people too well. Delta had been at the edge of the lake exploring, when a fish caught her eye. With a brisk movement of her paw the fish was on the ground flopping

He gave the girl a dazzling smile, the one he used for just such occasions, meeting shy girls. "It certainly is now." He was having a good day, in spite of having royally upset Fig the night before. He loved being outside, especially at Hogwarts, although his grounds at the main house were picturesque. He and Jana spent every Christmas there now, and at least a month for summer, but they had grown up there as children together, and it held great memories as well as finely manicured lawns. He brought his deep blue gaze to Kari's face, assessing. She was shy, but what else? He asked, "And where is your male escort today? Surely no man would let such a gem out of his sight, especially with the likes of myself roaming the grounds."

Kari was becoming slightly less intimidated and much more relaxed now. More than what she ever felt before. But, the young brunette still sheltered herself partly behind the tree, mostly out of habit. Her navy eyes shone with the sunlight as it glittered and danced in those deep, dark optics. "Male escort? I don't have one of those and I don't really consider myself as much of a gem either." She answered with a slight curiousity in her voice, which deepened itself as she spoke again, "Whatever do you mean? With the likes of yourself roaming around? Surely you are not some kind of monster? You look very nice, and human to me." Meager childish words, quite amusing.

Seamus let out a laugh, turning his face to the sky momentarily. "Miss, that is part of the problem." He gave her a good-natured wink. He felt himself relaxing, he was in his element, on the blanket surrounded by girls, and that guy. That combined with the scenery, he was completely at ease.

Moira looked between Morgan and Joel and stuck her finger into her open mouth, pantomiming throwing up. Seamus was such a shmoozer. He hadn't made a very good first impression, other than his looks, and the red head still felt prickly towards him. She called over to Kari, "Kari, have you met Morgan?" She felt like she needed to protect the younger girl from Seamus.

Kari blinked cluelssly at Seamus' statement but said nothing about it and decided to turn her attention to Moira, who had called to her. Shaking her head in response to Moira's question, she looked to Morgan. "No, I don't believe I have. It's a pleasure to meet you Morgan." She replied in a kind, gentle voice, like a whisper in the wind.

.:Lacesette Mostlee:.Lacey had gotten up of her make-shift blanket and stretched. Some of the other sutdents seemed to have been stirring around the edge of the lake, while the rest were gathered in a clump. "Ah splendid way to meet people" Lacey had though as she gathered up her things and started out slowly to the group. Delta had stared after her, curiousty coloring her eyes, but then turned back to the half eaten fish " Hello! Ah what a beautiful day! " She said in a care-free type tone. Her black hair was billowing out, even though no breeze had came through .:Lacesette:.

For the past few minutes, Joel has been watching the conversations taking place between the few people. A slight giggle escaped his lips as he watched Moira make a gagging sound as she pointed down her throat. "Silly Moira." His smile was rather large and excited, his eyes still dancing from one person to the next. With the sound of a rather soft voice in the distance, Joel noticed someone just casually hanging around over near the edge of the lake. Her hair was entrancing, and something about her eye made it as though he couldn't take his gaze away. Well, who is this piece of beauty? Hurm? I wish I could go flirt with her, but Sophie would eat me alive. I just know it. With a smile, Joel's soft features stayed in a smooth gaze on the black haired girl. "Moira, do you know who she is?"

.:Lacesette Mostlee:.Lacey had heard his question and turned around to face the boy. However she didn't approach him. :Hm i wonder who is that?: She thought. Lacey hated being the new student, it was as if she was some shiny object, something new to look at. She glanced back at him Lacey's electric blue eyes had curiousity written all over them. Lacey picked up her coat, which had been thrown on the ground, because it was too hot out.

Morgan smiled at Moira, glad she wouldn't fall victim to Seamus' charms. He was pouring it on awfully thick. She looked over at Kari while introductions took place. "Pleasure to meet you too, Kari." With a nod of her head towards Seamus, she added "Please ignore the boy." That wouldn't go over well with her fellow Slytherin, but she didn't particularly care. She choose to ignore the girl lurking nearby, not sure if she was making an attempt to join their gathering or not.

Moira looked at the girl hovering nearby. She didn't know her, and didn't really know if she was trying to join the group, or was passing by.She's gotta be a different house. She smiled slightly however, not surprised Joel had noticed her first. He wasn't as bad as Seamus but the two certainly had enough in common. She shook her head at him quickly and turned her attention to Morgan. "Do you?"

.:Lacesette Mostlee:.Lacey ventured out closer to the water, ignored slightly, not that it bothered her. Bored out of her mind, she sat on the ground and looked onto Nature's Mirror infront of her. "Wonder why i was put in Slytherin, gwah i more of a Gryffindor..." She thought. Lacey let her mind wander from diffrent topics, due to her boredom.

Seamus pouted, having lost Kari's attention to the two red heads. When he heard Joel speak of the new girl on the outskirts his head peeked up, but the girl apparently didn't find them interesting, and meandered off. Weird. He caught Morgan's comment just after she had said it, and he turned a frown in her direction. "Well now. I think she can decide well enough for herself what to do with me."
