Natasha blinked, unsure of what to say.
"Uh...well, I don't really know about them. Song has one...maybe she can fill you in or something. I don't know where they came from, but I've only seen a few of them around here. I never really asked...Song didn't seem particularly eager to talk about it."
Tasha rubbed her elbow uncomfortably. She never liked being asked to explain things she only knew about half-way.
"But let's get this finished up. I think this part might take awhile..."
She pulled out the second page of Sherrinda's application.
"So...tell me if I get this right. You left your...parents? To go live with your grandmother?"

((Collab post with Owle))
Sherrinda nodded, then shook her head. She pointed at the drawing of her parents and nodded. Then she pointed at the old woman, and shook her head. She drew the same pentagram she had on her occupation above the old woman's head, then an arrow from it pointing to the woman, as if that should make it clear enough.
"Oooh," Natasha realized, "not your grandmother, your...boss? Teacher? Something like that?"
Sherrinda nodded quickly, a big grin on her face now. She'd gotten it!
Tasha scribbled on the clipboard, making notes on the translation. "Okay, now this next part. Is that her giving some boy a love potion, and him getting the girl he wanted?"
Sherrinda nodded again. It was their profession; that was what they did. They made people happy. It wasn't just love potions, of course; they had made all sorts of trinkets. Sherrinda was quite proud of herself for it, and it seemed to show in her face.
"That's really neat!" Tasha grinned genuinely. She'd never met anyone who was good at chemistry or magic before...although she wasn't really sure which one it was. The next part of the story was a little boggling, so she played a sort of guessing game, watching Sherrinda for cues.
"Okay, now I guess this squiggly blue stuff is water? Is that the next part?"
Sherrinda nodded. It was water...It was more of a symbol, than anything else. But that was difficult to explain. How did you explain that it was something that stood for something else without a bajillion arrows?
"ookay...soo..." Natasha puzzled at the symbols. "You got...cut by water? Or...Cutting something in the water? Or is it like...a picture symbol for the name of something?" Natasha didn't have the most sophisticated vocabulary in the world.
Ehh...Sherrinda pulled out her multi-colored sharpies. This might take a little while.
She drew an arrow from the little man on the horse, to a blank spot on the page, and drew the same man without the horse. Only this time, instead of a stick body, he seemed to have a lumpy breast plate. On the breast plate was a crude rendering of the same water and sword.
"It's a device then...a symbol for some group? And a guy from that group did...something swirly to someone and hurt them?"
Sherrinda nodded. Then shook her head. She pointed to the man with red on his arm, and went staggering about the room, clutching her arm to her stomach. She pointed at the guy on the horse, and raised her arm with a smile. She pointed back to the injured man, and clutched at her stomach again. Slowly, she looked up in astonishment, peeling her arm away and inspecting it. Suddenly she began jumping about for joy.
After a moment she returned to her usual state, and waited to see what Natasha would make of it
"Ohh, he didn't hurt him, he fixed him! Then...I was right about him being from this water organization thingy?" She asked, happy to have passed that barrier.
Sherrinda nodded, pleased with Natasha and herself.
"Right then. So, this guy from the water place got mad at a girl and cut off her tongue?" Tasha cringed. "Eww. That's kind of gross."
Sherrinda pointed to the girl, then brought her finger back and thumped it against her own chest twice. She nodded solemnly, sadly.
Natasha's eyes widened in understanding. "Oh honey, I'm so sorry! That's awful." Her southern accent came out a little thicker when she got emotional. "I guess...it looks like they did all sorts of mean things, but you eventually got away from 'em?"
Sherrinda nodded, forcing an appreciative smile at the sympathy. It didn't do to dwell long on such things.

There was a light shuffling of feet outside, the loose gravel cackled beneath the feet of what seemed to be a completely lost teenager. Like many other gaians, this girl wore the very classical neko tail and auds, her remaining outfit revolved in a crimson and noir theme. She figeted with her hands, seemingly nervous. A small paper crumbled in her fingers, turned about as it was marked by many folds it must've suffered. She didn't need to check the address, this was the correct building with no doubt. The teenager released a rocky sigh, wondering what expected her inside. She had much experience with pets, considering the crowd she had back home. She even had a flower, still ungrown however which caused her to worry upon her techniques of plant care taking. Shoving the small piece of paper in her pocket, she fiddled with her shirt in order to be sure she'd be presentable. Then, quietly and in a rather stiff manner, the girl silently entered the main lobby.
There wasn't much to add upon this girl's history. She was proud owner of many pets, all of which were beloved to her for as much as they debated amongst themselves. Experienced in role playing and somewhat blessed with love for fiction, she could right endless narative stories had her english not been slightly affected by her portuguese.
Now, as she gazed curiously yet shyly around the room, the teenager was unable to notice a small step before her. Thus, in her clumsyness, the girl fell face first onto the floor, whimpering and rubbing her sore head from the surprise. This was definately unlike Anna, considering she was so extroverted around most pet shops. However, this was a scientific and professional area, thus all respect and properness was somewhat a code. Oh, yes, as it might've slipped afore, her name is Anna.

Song followed Japi through the door, blinking at the two newcomers. She glanced at Natasha, who was in the process of summarizing Sherrinda's information.
"Tash, who's next?" she questioned.

Natasha looked up from her work, scribbled a few last notes, and peeled the paper off her clipboard. Handing it to Songjewel, she waved her arm at Sherrinda.
"This is Sherrinda, the one with the picture app. She's been here for awhile...I've been makin' some sense out of her application. That there's the translation I drew up for ya." Tasha looked kindly at Anna. "Hey there darlin, I'll be with ya in just a sec."

As Songjewel took the paper from Tasha, she glanced over it and took in a few of the important details. She had already figured out a plant she thought the woman would fit well with...given her very limited ability to communicate. "Right this way, Sherrinda. I'll get you all set." Song nodded absently as she spoke, glancing from the woman's eyes to the paper she still held, as she ushered her through the door and back to her office. Anna blinked for a few moments, noting that both Natasha and Sherrinda were quite friendly to her. She nodded in confirmation to Natasha. "Okay..." She spoke softly, trying to seem respectful even then. Soon noting the wave coming from part of the other girl, Anna smiled softly and waved in return. It had been a while since she felt secure in such a professional or well led place, especially one that delt with a manner she knew nothing about. All this girl really knew about plants was that they had to be set on an appropriate sun amount and given water at specific times. Other then that she'd take care of the plant mostly with love rather then with herbology related material. She'd have much to learn in such a place. Sighing once again, though now in some releif, Anna quitely sat upon a chair nicely settled in the entrance.

((Timegap Power: ACTIVATE!)) Song held the door for Sherrinda as the woman re-entered the waiting room, a satisfied grin lighting up her features. As Sherrinda took her seat to wait, Natasha handed the clipboard to Song. "Anna's next Song," she chirped cheerfully, munching on a candybar. That girl eats waaay too much sugar. Song thought. Maybe I should bring her some espresso tomorrow and see what happens! Shaking her head in amusement, she turned to Anna. "Alright then, let's get you set up! Come on back to my office, Anna." Anna looked up, as if a little surprised. However, she took off shortly behind Songjewel, not much to sure as to why Sherrinda had returned in such glee. Patting a little something that rested within her rather large pant pocket, the neko girl continued her path along Songjewel, studying just about anything she could set her eyes upon.

Sherrinda had been happily keeping herself busy with the journal Songjewel had given her while she waited, filling it up with little doodles that seemed to chronicle her meeting with Natasha, and her interview with Songjewel. It was, after all, a journal. She looked up as the door again opened. She wondered if it was finally time to see her plant.

Aro runs up to the main office. She was so late. Three days late. She got so caught up with a shipping issue at work and a rave a friend took her to that she had forgot about the appointment completely. She takes a deep breath as she sits the bag she had down. It had some items from her store she was going to use to help say sorry. She stands up straight and takes another deep breath in, then sighs a bit as she breaths out.
Aro picks the bag back up then slowly opens the door and walks in. She looks around a little until she sees Natasha. Aro takes a candle from her bags, it was dark blue at the bottom two-thirds and yellow on the top one-third and had glitter on the outside of it. She holds it up as she walks over to Natasha.
"I am so very sorry for being late. I have this for you." She holds the candle out for Natasha to take. "There was shipping issues, the stupid deliverer went all the way to Aekea and then when he called me asking where my shop was, I was like, dumb a** you are in the wrong town. Then we had a fight and he wanted me to pay for the extra travel charges and I was not going to do that. It was his mistake. And," Aro pauses realizing she was ranting. "And I'm sorry for being late."

Japi sat, twiddling her thumbs. She had fallen into a deep trance to speak telepathically with one of her kids from another dimension. She had just regained consiousness when she realized there were several other people also there. How long have I been out of it? she wondered. She glanced around the room, taking in the events currently occuring. She carefully and quickly did a "view past" spell--trying to make sure no one noticed--to look at the past few minutes of time to see what everybody had been doing.

((MMkay, time for another timegap! We're gonna go meet the kids of the new parents who just finished their appointments, and in the meantime I'm goin to hold Aro's appointment as well. Otherwise someone will have to wait a long time, and since I've got so little time as it is, figure while I'm here I might as well get them both going.))

Song led Anna back to the waiting room. This time, instead of calling another person back, she motioned to the parents who had just had their appointments.
"Okay, time to go out and meet your plants! I'm sorry to keep you waiting for so long, but it really is better if we all go as a group. Follow me please! We'll be going to the Quad first."
Song led the new parents out of the office and onto the trail toward the Quad.
((We'll skip walking through the other areas and just get straight to the Quad to meet Catnip.))
