Why did you join band? I thought it would be fun
Why did you pick the instrument you did? That's what the people that tested me said
What do you think you would be doing if you didn't join the band? Oh man what would I do...*wonders*
What instrument, if any, would you play if you didn't pick the one you did? I thought of doing trumpet and I'm glad I didn't. I LOVE THE ALTO SAXOPHONE!!!!!

Why did you join band? Almost everyone joined band in 4th grade. You just kinda ... did it. And then in 6th grade, you had to do either chorus or band - it was mandatory.
Why did you pick the instrument that you did? My cousin gave me her clarinet and my best friend signed up for clarinet ... so I figured that's what I'd do.
What do you think you would be doing if you didn't join the band? I don't even know ... I would have been in chorus for middle school, but after that ... my life would probably just suck. wink
What instrument, if any, would you play if you didn't pick the one you did? Trumpet (which I originally wanted because I thought only three valves would be really easy to play) or drums (which I wasn't allowed to do because my mom thought she'd have to buy me an entire drum set).

I joined band because the BDs of the time did a demo of all the different instruments you could eventually play. One was the alto sax. It was the coolest instrument EVER! (That's my opinion, then and now).
Why i picked the instrument: See above story. However, in order to play percussion, you had to join band on some other instrument, then try out for percussion before any rehearsals started. And to the sax, bassoon, or oboe, you had to either play flute or clarinet and try out in the middle of the year for one. So, I did try out, didn't get switched. Then came 8th grade (I know long story sweatdrop ) I asked to borrow a sax to teach myself how to play. Then I was switched for high school. (Finally on the instrument I've always wanted to play! biggrin )
I would prolly still be playing flute if those other saxes hadn't quit right after 8th grade. i guess it was meant to be.........eventually. smile

Why did you join band? there are like 3 reasons
1. i was bored of life in 5th grade and decided it would be fun
2. my brother failed at it making me better than him if i did it (my mind set in 5th grade )
3. our school system needed trombones
Why did you pick the instrument that you did?i thought it looked fun and plus i was thinking if i got good i would be able to pay for college with it (i decided that in 3rd grade whole sibling rivalry thing kicked in later)

so our 5th grade band had like 20 flutes, 10 clarinets, 10 alto saxes, 7 trumpets, 3 trombones, and 5 percussionist now in ninth grade we have like 10 flutes, 7 clarinets, 3 percussionist, 2 trumpets, and 2 trombone/baritone me wow we go from 50 people in the grade to like 20 in 4 years and only half of the 20 people actually care about band

2.I was bored
3.I was like very yes yes yes razz
but the more interesting story is how i played b clari, first I played tenor sax, then 8th grade year, they needed b claris, so i learned clarinet over the summer and havent looked back since.
2 years later, no regrets.

what would i be doing if i didnt join band?
join guard, be the only guard member who is a male, get girls, and be happy.
but hey, next best thing, clarinet section for mb!!!!!!!!

i did the same thing but when my sisters started abnd i didnt have a lot of interestbut my other sister got in it 2 so i wanted to do it so when i got in 6th grade i wanted to do procussion but the guy wouldnt let me try it was stupid but i tried the sax and i luved it from the start and my band director told me i wus amezing and i didnt really think i was but it made me feel good so i luv band

Why did you join band?
I thought it would something neat to try out.
I joined when I first started MS, first instrument was the Bb clarinet. Then when I got to my second year of marching band, I joined the front assemble as the auxiliary percussionist. Then the following year mallet percussion.
I love band. Its the reason I look forward to school everyday. (that and all of my fiends are in it). Im glad I joined
*sigh* Im gonna miss marching band when I graduate...

i joined band because all of my friends did it in elementary and i didnt wanna be left out anymore
i joined indoor drumline cuz i promised my band director i would before i quit and that got me hooked on it like a druggy on well, a drug

I joined band because we had to choose between band, choir, art, or a stupid test prep class, I went with band because it seemed like the best choice, it obviously was. I chose to play baritone because my friend played it, it seemed like a really obscure instrument and there weren't a lot of people playing, I was one of two. If I didn't choose Euphonium, I would have probably picked trumpet, but I'm glad I chose this as my first and always will be.

I joined because I heard the high school band; and it was awesome<3 Also, my other friends were in band, and I wanted to have classes with them.
I started out on trumpet since I looked up to the trumpetist with the solo in High school, but I didn't have much fun with it. So I switched to trombone; and it was the best decision of my life<3 Now, here I am, 4 years later, playing trombone, tuba, and euphonium!(:
If i wasn't in band, i think i'd be back to drawing nonstop like before, or i'd be in drama. I'd probably be a snob that hated band if I hadnt met my band buddies<3
If I hadnt of chosen trombone, then I'd probably choose percussion

i thought band was really neat.
first i tried the flute, but my fingers couldnt move as fast as the girls xd
but i found that the Trumpet was best suited for me.
getting a black one for the marching band was the best choice because everyone else had an actual color on thier trumpets. like a rainbow section

I have always wanted to play an instrument since I was little and when I first got the chance to I got "addicted" per say to band and have never gotten out of it since I was in fifth grade, and now I am in college and I am still in band and a band nerd.
