"Ah, yes." Kaien laughed, "Where are my manners? allow me to help you..." He placed a hand under one of Anna's arms and guided her up and into a nearby chair just in case she was still dizzy from fainting.
"You're not the only one suffering such adverse reactions. I've been researching ways of sealing off the gateway temporarily in order to prevent any further destabilization, but everything I'm reading tells me it isn't possible."

No, it wasn't possible. Messing with the gateway in anyway like that was also extremely dangerous. "Tampering with the gateway is dangerous Kaien." He already knew that, of that she was sure, but still she felt she had to say it. The idea of him putting himself in danger didn't sit well with her, not at all. Arondis set the teacup on a table near Anna for her to drink.

Anna had a lovely blush in her cheeks from everyone fussing over her. "Thank you, truly." She carefully took the tea cup, trying to keep it low to the desk in case her shaky hands spilled it over dropped it completely. "Is this a healing sort?" she asked softly, not wanting to interrupt their conversation. This way, Anna felt if the question was distracting, she could be overlooked.

Kaien smiled. "It always works wonders on me. After loosing so much blood earlier, one cup was enough to put me right again...at least until the latest ripple." he added glumly. "A special brew of Arondis' I believe, though she's never shared the secret of its ingredients with me."

The affect of his words was almost as immediate as those of the tea. "You lost blood earlier? When? What happened?" Anna could put aside all her own ordeals if someone else was in trouble.

"And it shall stay a secret." She grinned. Though her attention was immediately drawn to Kaien saying he had lost blood. So that was part of the tired look he had had. What a day for the headmaster it seemed. Arondis was listening intently.

Big mouth! Kaien thought. "ah, it was nothing I couldn't handle. It would seem as if one of our recent Keystone acquisitions - a Noble Vampire student known as Shadow - had a run in with a human student of ours by the name of Muse and the result was a..." He wanted to be careful to respect the feelings of both girls involved. He'd already spoken with one, and the other was recovering in her dorm, presumably.
He sighed, "Well, we have a new vampire to make provisions for on campus. Shadow brought the girl to my office fearing that she had an adverse reaction to the transformation, and in an attempt to curb her initial bloodlust, I offered her my own blood. Unfortunately it would seem as if I misjudged her thirst and was nearly drained. Luckily I was spared." he neglected to add that he had been spared by another student who had walked in on the shocking scene.

"Oh my goodness..." That story made Anna just as pale as when she was found. The idea of a student being able to render someone near death... How had he protected himself from so long? "Are you alright? You know I'm a healer," she said in a bit of a reprimand. "Goodness. Never a dull moment. But how is Muse? Has anyone checked upon her? And the vampire, will she be punished in any way?"

Anna had already asked the questions that needed to be asked, so Arondis only kept her eyes on Kaien and waited for his answers. No dull moments around here, as Anna had said. The school year hadn't even taken off quite yet and already a student was going through this?
((Sorry for the short posts, *is tired* lol))

((lol. No worries. Don't stress yourself ^^))
Kaien nodded. "I had thought of seeing a healer, the student Sebastian Brighton is something of my personal consultant. Fortunately for me, the benefits of being Guardian mean that I can withstand such attacks and bounce back with some resilience. Being drained of the usual amount of blood a Vampire would need is a small matter for me, but when she needed more than what I could regenerate quickly it became slightly dangerous."
"The Vampire student has been dealt with, and while I believe she was rather irresponsible I also believe that she is mature enough to handle the training of her new kin. Her rather lenient punishment was the responsibility for orientating Muse into the world she has now entered."

(( *yawns* Alrighty, last post for the night.))
Arondis would have been more severe to the vampire, but Kaien was always fair, if a bit lenient. He seemed to have a soft spot for his students. "Then all is well for the time being." She looked over the elf. "And you Miss Anna?" The teacher looked better already, but no doubt the effects of the gate were still there somewhat. Arondis was still feeling it herself.

Anna wanted to retaliate with her own opinion on the matter, so much so that her troubles were visible. It was not a situation to be treated so lightly, even if he was just saying so to ease their worry. Kaien was Headmaster, someone who should establish respect at the moment they're seen. To be attacked by someone meant to be a student, a follower, was unacceptable. "At least you're alright," she consented after pushing her thoughts deeper within her.
To Arondis, she offered a brave smile. "I'm fine. Just tired. Thank you." Her eyes drifted down into the tea cup. Suddenly she felt like a very small person, but refused to let it show. At least, not intentionally.

Kaien knew his response triggered his companions' desire for justice, but he was pleased that they did not reprimand him. "Yes. I am fine now, you are recovering Anna, and the students are settling back in to their...normal...lives. All is well."
There was this nagging thing in the back of his mind, though. He needed to find more teachers to fill the classrooms once school was back in session. He decided to raise the question to the two women, hoping they had suggestions. "I need to begin filling staff vacancies. I would be glad to teach myself, but the school's duties will call me away from classes far too frequently. Anna, I do not think that teaching a full time schedule would agree with your duties either, and Arondis must fill her position on the other side of the Gateway. There are currently three classes I need to have covered. Applicants are few and far in between." he finished with a sad shake of his head.

"It may not be full-time, but I could still teach regardless." She rubbed her temple in a thoughtful fashion. It was a desire for her to grow closer to the students, though after Kaien's story, she wasn't so sure that being too well known was a good thing. "I'm not sure I know anyone who isn't terribly busy with research in the other realms... For now, I'm at a loss." Which was a pity, because she so wished she could alleviate some of his worries. Anna could see how worn Kaien looked in the dimness of her office.

The headmaster had been right. Arondis wouldn't be able to teach; there were too many things for her to do at the gate to even consider it. Still, over the years she had gathered many friends, many of who owed her a favor or two. If it would help Kaien... "I know of a few people. I'll call in favors and see who is able to teach if you wish." Already in the back of her mind she was sorting through who would be a good teacher; there were people from the other realms and the human realm alike. She might even see what her son was up to. Her daughter would never come, she was enjoying her travels too much.
