TL;DR Starts here:
It really all started will Sailor Moon Im ashamed to say. My older brother was the one to introduce me to it. I was six years old when I first saw anime.It was like nothing Ive ever scene before and I usually watched disney cartoons like Winnie the Pooh or Tail Spin. I continued on by watching anime on Toonami, Fox kids, and kid WB. I eventually started getting attracted to asians of japanese culture when I was in my early teens but I didnt know much about the culture yet. I started taking intrest in the language, then food, entertainment, history, then traditional and modern clothing. I found out about manga when I was in middle school. I started out reading shonen jump and tokyopop.

As I got older I took interest in japanese music like Jpop and Jrock. I was fasinated by Utada Hikarus upbeat pop songs and infatuated by Gackt's increadible beauty. Thanx to him, Ive been really attracted to people of Japanese decent, but Ive learned the hard way that I would never have a lover that is Japanese but Ive learned to live with it a little. At 16, I learned about the wonderful world of cosplay thanx to a friend and we didnt have conventions around here until I turned 17. Now Ive learned alot as Ive grown about Japan and I would love to see it someday if I had the money or by luck one of my family member takes me. The reason I said that is because my aunt is japanese and she might go back to japan one day. Ive recently went to Japantown and it wa awesome. I just wish I was there for the cherry blossom festival or the tea ceremony but I had to work on those days. But maybe next year! biggrin
