She didn't say yes, so he decided to stay and let her mull over the thoughts going on in her head. He did't mind her silent treatment, he had lived through that before when first meeting her and she did choose to talk to him eventually.

Maera sat there quietly, looking away and slowly inching herself until her back was facing him. She was confused, but nobody had to know that.

Blaze let her inch away and stared at the night sky. He wanted to tell her that he was glad she shared the night with him, but decided to stay silent and let her think a bit longer.

Maera quickly and silently pushed off of the branch, effortlessly jumping into the dark forest without a sound. She was a creature of the night, of the shadows, a beast. Beasts don't require, nor should they deserve, friends. A small stream of tears silently fell down her cheeks and glistened behind her as she made her way though the shadows.

Blaze watched her jump away and a frown formed across his face. He didn't know why, but he didn't want to be without her, but he didn't want to scare her away. He slowly pounced down and went after her, "Wait...what if I told you I didn't want you to go?" Would she run anyway? Well, he was about to find out.

Maera stopped on the branch she was on. She was quiet, and listening to Blaze. She wished for him to just be quiet, to just let her run away.

Blaze took a few step to get closer to her. She had stopped, did that mean she was listening? "I don't know why, but I don't want you to go. Please, stay a while longer?"

Maera listened, and her shoulders trembled. She looked back to him, her large eyes shining and her hears folded down. He had asked her to stay, and that alone was blocking her reasoning inside wanting her to go.

He walked slowly over to her. He saw her eyes and knew the conflict in them, but he just couldn't let her go. "I just really like you..." He said even if it was weird to say so, he didn't know her that well.

Maera remained silent as she forced her expresions to grow cold, and she stared at him unblinking. "How could you like me when we've known each other not even a night?" she asked coldly.

Blaze shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know..." He couldn't explain it, he just felt for her. "I feel like my life was empty and then I met you." He knew that sounded cheesy, but it was the truth.

Maera's unblinking gaze continued to burn themselves into him. She lightly jumped from the tree branch to one closer in front of him. "So. I filled your shell of an empty life? Prove it to me. Prove it that you aren't just lying like the rest."

"Ok, anything you want and I'll do it." He wasn't sure how to prove it since this was the first and only time he had ever felt this way...the only other thing he loved was watching the dancing flames of a fire.

Maera's eyes lit up again, and a small smirk danced on her lips. "Anything" She purred softly before pinning him down to the tree in an instant.

Blaze nodded at her anything. "Yes.." He wasn't sure what the look meant, but had a good guess when she pinned him to the tree. He blushed and let her do what she wanted to prove his love.
