Well, here's my review on the new Gwen STefani cd. It's okay, some songs are cool, and some are just plain stupid, but that's my opinion. I give it a c+

Found a couple of pretty good bands last night after finding a couple others I like seemed to have split.

Bleed the Dream-
I don't know how to really describe them. In comparison to other bands, they remind me of From Zero and Sugarcult (based off Pretty Girl). I dunno. I can't think of other bands to compare them to.

Roses are Red-
Also very good. They remind me very much of Taking Back Sunday but less...pop-punk and with more of a rock sorta edge.

x-posted in my LJ.

If you like the kinds of music that I like, I would definitely suggest checking these bands out. Pretty good:

They are a bit on the slower side. Real good sound. I would suggest them if you like Jimmy Eat World...or anything with a more musical kind of edge. Too bad I didn't find out about these guys a few weeks ago. I could have gone to one of their shows...it was at the teen center in TO.

They've got that kinda "punky rock pop" sound. Not the whiny emo crap. They remind me of a more musical Taking Back Sunday and not as whiny. I'm gonna see if I can pick up their EP later today.

They've definitely got a unique sound. I'd like to think of it as more rock/alternative. The first song I listened to by them was Empty Bottle Translations which was full of energy. I like those kinds of energetic songs. They had a link to download a CD of their's, so I did. I've listened to most, and it's real good so far. I would suggest it if you like Thursday. They're much less "emo" than Thursday and quite a bit more "bright" in their songs. I think they were my favorite find of yesterday next to Waking Ashland.

I would say they're rock/punk. They remind me a little of Hoobastank. So, if you like Hoobastank and, I guess, Jimmy Eat World, they're pretty good. Maybe a little AudioVent too.

Rock with some occasional "screaming" in the background but not really. They've got good energy in their music. Nothing really unique, but a pretty good rock band.

Punk/rock. The song that really made me like them was Oceans (the lyrics are in my info). They were on the front page at www.purevolume.com so I thought "well, since they're there, maybe they're good."

Rock. I've actually liked them for a year or so. I just stumbled across them while searching out other bands. Their new stuff (the samples they have up on their page) is a lot better than their old stuff. It has a more solid sound.

Rock. They remind me very much of From Zero, if you've ever heard stuff by them (http://fromzero.com/flashsite.html). They've got a bit of "emo" edge as some would say, especially in their song Broken Wings. It's a pretty and emotional song. But yeah. If you like From Zero, they're a LOT like them.

L0k1's ULTRA-OMEGA-INCREDIBLE-REVIEW OF MSI'S NEW ALBUM!

Title: You'll Rebel to Anything
Release date: April 12th 2005
Grade: A-

Comments: Ya'll better thank Pi for this review, she gave me the album. This CD is without a doubt, the BEST MSI CD to date. From begining to end it really reminds you why the band is good. Full of energy, this latest release really shows off how well the band can do in studio. With remixes of live bootlegs they released and new songs, the newest addition to the MSi collection really proves its worth. I only had one problem with it, the new version of "Two Hookers and an Eightball really blows, like wicked bad. However, the rest of the tracks make up for it.

Personall favorite tracks: Stupid MF, You'll Rebel to Anything(as long as its not challenging), Straight to Video, Shut Me Up
