Scarlett felt the familiar tingle of watching eyes and began to look around. Seeing the young man out of the corner of her eyes she nodded at him and smiled slightly. She turned back to Fern and shrugged. "I don't know...I suppose I'm just a bit exhausted today." In attempt to change the subject so as not to sound to persistent. "What classes do you all have? Where are you from? Sorry if I ask so many questions....papa always did say I talk too much."

Verdi gave an exasperated sigh. Her plan had been destroyed. It wasn't the newcomer's fault, but that didn't stop her from getting frustrated. Social situations were far from being this spirit-seer's strongest suit and one of her very few attempts had just been thrown out the window.
A shrug ended up being her only response. If she had to say her name again, so be it, but she had just finished her own introduction that included the questions asked. Needless to say, Verdi didn't feel like giving it again so soon.

(we can't wait for each other and expect something to happen... sweatdrop )
Fern suddenly became a bit exasperated and took the stage once more. "Well, I'm from around, you know... here and there! Got here by magical means, and such. Don't really know what my classes are, but I'm going to be a healer of some kind!" Her bright eyes seemed excited with the prospect of helping people instead of annoying the living daylights out of them, as was her personal talent.

((oopsies surprised ))
Scarlett nodded. She was in the same situation; not knowing what classes she would be in. Before she had left home, Scarlett had adored writing and anything art related. Seeing as this was a highly reputable school, she assumed she would have to focus her interests on a more academic scale. "That's amazing! I'm a writer..." she nodded to the notebook she had dropped when she first saw them. "I'm always filling notebooks with stories of fairies and demons." She blushed slightly at the thoughts of the other things she filled her books with. The memory of his eyes flashing across her thoughts.
Scarlett twirled around in a circle for a moment. "So, I'm assuming none of you are in the maple dorm? I think I would have seen you, right? Its awfully quiet around here." She was rambling, but she always had a hard time sounding intelligent in new situations.

Quiet? That was laughable, but that was only for Verdi. It was possible to have a quiet day for most people. At least she knew enough not to just tell the girl how wrong she was.
"Actually, I'm in the maple dorms. I just haven't gone to my room much." That was about it for that. Not much to say in her mind, just answering the girl's question and correcting her incorrect assumption.

The angel hiccuped slightly and blushed, looking towards Scarlett; somehow, she'd tapped into the surge of feelings through the human as she'd thought about her writing, but this wasn't uncommon when people spoke about something they really enjoyed - such emotions could become so unadulterated, it was had not to pick up on them. Clearing her own head, MaryAnne shook herself slightly, the faint ruffling of feathers shifting obvious behind her. "I haven't any idea of what my classes are either. I hope there's something terribly interesting." She cocked her head to the side and glanced at Verdi, arching an eyebrow. "I'm in the Keystone dorms myself."

"Aye, I'm in Keystone as well," piped Fern. "Our kind has to stay together. Wouldn't want a little bit of the magicks leaking into places it doesn't belong, now, do we?" In Fern's case, a human might wake up in a bed of flowers or with bug's antennae. Sometimes it happened as an uncontrolled leak, while other times... well, she needed a good laugh somehow.
"But it doesn't mean we're much different," she said quickly. Fern had been told humans were sensitive when they felt they were being overpowered, even though her own abilities were severely cut down thanks to the new realm.

The blond's eyes widened and she looked to Fern in a mild horror until the fae girl quickly added her last comment and the angel relaxed slightly. "She's right. We're just like others, but something happening could cause problems. I'd probably end up with a serious overload and loose control of everything else." She placed her hand against her forehead and shuddered slightly. MaryAnne recalled when she came of age and the thoughts of every living thing had flooded into her head like a dam suddenly bursting; she'd nearly been driven insane until she'd gotten control and turned the torrent into a tricking steam that she could turn on or off. Here it was different though, feelings and less specific thoughts. The only thing that overwhelmed her now were intense sensations of manditory, hard-wired emotions; those, she'd been able to feel from yards and yards away. MaryAnne blinked and wondered why everyone else had fallen silent. Her mind wandered in the empty moment and she found herself wondering where the winged young man had gone to.

Scarlett felt slightly lost and even slightly more idiotic for always assuming. It wasn't so bad when you guessed correctly...but she was wrong more often than not. Twirling her hair around her finger she let out a soft sigh and shook off a feeling of uneasiness that had been plaguing her for a few minutes now. "I'm really sorry....I just...I assumed...It won't happen again."
{{sorry I'm so slow at posting. Finals are hitting me in the face and I decided it would be fun to go off my meds for two months and am now having to readjust to them now that that my dad found out :/]]

"Oh, heavens, don't be apologizing now!" Fern said, giggling like someone was tickling her side. "You know, we should all get to know each other, and do something. Especially with all the nightmares and strange sickness going 'round. Better in groups than alone, I say!"
But what would they do for fun? Where would they go? Moliné was the best place for all that, what with the shops and food places... but some of them may have already been there. Where could they go?
"Though... I'm not quite sure what they do here, in this realm."
((don't worry about it. finals just got done slapping me across the face, too. we all need a rest.))

"That sounds like a wonderful idea!" She smiled brightly and did a little hop in place. "We could all go....um...shopping? What exactly is there to do around here?" she laughed nervously; a bad habit of hers and looked around, hoping that she didn't come off as idiotic. "I'm sure there HAS to be some place to just have fun around here."

"Aren't the holidays coming up? Perhaps the school will hold a gala or ball of some sort?" The angel smiled and perked up a little; she'd always dreamed of attending a ball, dressed up glamorously and waltzing across marble floors, a great romantic encounter on the terrace and a warm embrace... Perhaps she'd been reading too many novels. MaryAnne shook her head and smiled a little to herself. She put her jacket back on, covering her wings, and shivered a little, biting her lip; MaryAnne secrectly wished something would happen like that - she had the attire for it. Her mind wandered again, only now to her dorm room and trying to recall where she'd put the gown. "Don't schools like this usually do that sort of thing?" Her tone was rather casual for such a light to be in her eyes.

"Well, they might," Fern said, looking thoughtful. "I don't know, though. This is the first time I've been to a school like this, in this realm. Do they usually do that sort of thing, with great balls and things around certain days? I know we had them for birthdays and other big events."
Fern recalled having brought a gown for some big occasion, 'just in case,' her mother had said. It was light as gossamer and slightly revealing, as some fae clothes were, when they wore them at all.
