Rei nodded, and then looked out the window again. "Yeah, but perhaps we should stay here for a while just yet, in case things go bad again..." Rei then looked over to Drake. "You can't blame yourself, how would you know? they had you brainwashed remember? Plus, without you, we wouldn't have been able to save her... your the one that led us to cliff here, and in time to save her." He said standing up.

After Rei had finished attempting to cheer up Drake, Alekssander slowly shuffled towards Drake. Alekssander gave him a knowing look, and then leaned forward and whispered in his ear, "I know exactly how you feel. I hardly did anything either." He then leaned away from Drake and offered his hand, the hand of trust. With it came these words: "We're not so different, you and I. I think we'd make a great team."

Drake didn't know what to say. He felt so nervous suddenly.
He loked at Rei then to Alex's extended hand. He nodded and shook his hand firmly, "Thanks, it means a lot to be trusted even through...Well, this."
Holly giggled at the flood of emotions coming from Drake and his nervousness, "I'm glad I could be of help to make you guys friends!"
Cliff chuckled then whispered into Holly's ear something and she nodded with a smile.
"Ready?" He asked as he extended his arms towards her, and she nodded.
He picked her up wedding style and carried her to a small love seat in the living-room.
He then went into the kitchen and came back with a blanket and a bowl of the soup everyone had previously eaten.
"Here you go."
"Thanks, Cliff." Holly smiled as she slowly folded her legs into the chair, covered herself up with the blanket then took the bowl from him.

Rei looked at them before he headed to the door. "I'm going to head out and keep a watch out alright?" He said as he pulled his cloak out of a pouch on his belt, and he walked out the door.
Rei headed to a nearby alleyway, and leaped up onto the rooftops, and began to watch around. "Now, I wonder where they are..." He said as he smirked, his senses flared looking for the smell of the soldiers, as well as looking to see them. It may be pitch black out, but with him being part cat, he could see perfectly. He laughed a bit to himself. "Silly night vision glasses..." He said envisioning a man running around with a pair of nightvisions and falling over with how heavy they were on his face.

Noticing things were getting back to normal, Alekssander headed for the door, after Rei. "I'm going to check on the base, see if everythings alright back there." He announced to everybody in general. Without further ado, he left and started walking back. He opted not to fly, not feeling any need to rush.

Holly sighed when everyone left and mummbled to herself, "It gets a little sentimental in here and everyone jumps ship."
She smiled and continued eating while staring at the fireplace.
Drake came and sat next to her chair, sitting Indian style.
He busied himself to fingering his shoe-laces nervously.
"Hey, cheer up, I'm okay now. No big deal..." Holly said quietly as she pput her bowl in her lap.
"Holly, I almost killed you tonight...And I left you back there when we were fighting the SP way back when... I can't even hug you anymore." He said with pain in his voice.
"I'm not angry at you for either one...You saved me by letting them take you then. If you hadn't have done that we both would've been taken and we wouldn't be helping Alex and Rei. And you just being here is comforting enough, you should know that." She smiled at him.
"Holly, I promise I'll make this up to you. I have to prove myself to you so ...Just so I know that I'm not a lousy brother or person for being stupid enough to fall for the Scientists' stupid plan...I'm sorry, but I'll make it up to you." He said as he stared her in the eyes sternly, wanting badly to touch her.
Holly felt a knot form in her stomache; it was guilt.
"Drake..." She sighed as she picked her bowl back up and tried to comfort him by sending a wave of sympathy and love to him to show him her feelings.

Rei watched alex leave from the house, heading towards the base. "Good luck." He spoke softly from the roofs. He looked around still, and heard the mumbles from inside. He smiled. "well, their behaving..." He said, and then he stopped. He heard a quiet, single Click. "oh hell no..." He said as he saw the flicker of a sniper rifle, aimed into the living room window. "NO WAY!!!" He Yelled as he Leaped across the roofs, reaching him in an instant. He leaped up and cut the mans head off. As he was in the air, the sound of a gunshot rang through the air of the night, and he fell back. He crawled towards the roof right across from Cliffs house, before he couldn't go any farther. "d-damn..." He said angrily. He was shot through the stomach, the sniper was bait, for the real sniper. He looked at them, and Roared as loud as he could, which was sure to get attention, because it broke several nearby windows, and set off car alarms. He hung himself half over the edge of the building, almost directly in front of the living room window. Blood began to stream down the building as he passed out.

Holly felt the fear before she heard the gunshot. Her and Drake looked at eachother with wide eyes and stood, Holly swaying as she tried to gain her balance.
"Rei!" She whispered in fear as she heard his roar.
She leapt at the door and flung it open, not realising the true danger. She saw him dangling from the building then drop to the ground from unconsinceness. She rushed to his side and saw the wound.
"Oh s**t. Hold on, Rei!" She said as she pressed her palms against the wound to stop the blood flow.
"Drake! Get Cliff's medical kit! I need tweasers, stitching needle, and string. Hurry!" She screamed at the door, "And antiseptic!"
Drake turned and headed for the kitchen and was greeted with Cliff shoving his way passed him.
"Drake! Get on the roof and start defending us! I'll move Rei and Holly inside. My weapons are in my bedroom. Hurry! We have no time!" Cliff yelled as he left the house and went to Rei's side.
Drake growled and went into the room. He swung a rifle onto his back, hand-gun in his boot, extra ammo around his waist and a shot-gun in his hand. He went out the back and dodged a few bullets to get oin the roof.
Within the first five seconds of being there he already took out the two of the men who were behind him. He crouched and took out the rifle, reaching out his mind to target the other men.
Holly helped Cliff take Rei inside the house into the light. She looked at the damage and said, "Cliff, I can do this. Let me repay him for saving my life."
Cliff nodded and she took a deap breath. She saw that the bullet hadn't gone all the way through and put her hand out, "I'm going to need the tweasers..."

"F*ck." Alekssander was transformed and in the air as soon as he heard the gunshot. Flying towards the noise, he grasped his whip, not even thinking about who had been shot, although he knew it was one of his own kind. When he got there though, he saw someone already fighting. Upon closer inspection it was revealed to be Drake. "Ah," greeted the raspy, breathy voice that issued from Devil Alekssander's throat as he landed on the roof. The words came slowly. "Drake. I see you are already have shed blood here. Wonderful. But where is the perpetrator? I want to murder the b*****d."

Drake paused for a moment his mind searching the area like a snake in a mouse's nest. He then resumed lookng through his rifle scope and said mechanically, "5 O' clock, third roof up."
Once Holly had carefully removed the bullet she took the stitching needle and threaded the (for lack of a better word) thread through it with precise hands and looked at the wound. She took some gauze and mopped up some of the blood then carefully started to stitch the wound shut. She had to periodically stop and mop more blood up, but she got it done quickly and professionaly.
When she finished then got long strips of gauze and wrapped it around his waist and the wound to stop any more bleeding then tied it tight. Once finished with that she checked his pulse then went to hi head. She lightly touched his temples then knelt by his ear and started to whisper quiet words of encouragment and hope.
"Rei, hold on, we need you. I held on for you, now you do the same for me. Just... Hold on... Don't let go." She whispered as tears filled her eyes.
She looked up at Cliff and said flatly, "Join the others, I'll stay here with him.
Cliff nodded then handed her a loaded hand-gun, "Just incase..."
He then grabbed a rifle and went outside and carefully climbed on to the top of the roof and crouched next to Drake and Alex, "Rei's going to make it, I think. Sniper shot to the stomache, but Holly handled it well and fixed him up."

Rei was almost dreaming in his unconscious state. His entire life rushed through his mind, and he realized that he hadn't done much, if anything at all, to try and get back at the scientists who did this to him. He began to feel like he made a stupid mistake, why didn't he notice the second one? He was right beside the decoy... Rei then heard the words from holly, except it was twisted and distorted. He looked around in the dream state, and began to look for a way out. "I've gotta get out of here... I don't know what I'd do if they get hurt because of my stupidity... I got hurt, and it was because of my own careless mistake..."

Devil Alekssander gave a quick nod at Cliff and Drake for confirmation of the target, Rei, and for the location of the sniper, respectively, before jumping off to between rooftops to destroy the perpetrator. The sniper, however, noticed Devil Alekssander while he was still a ways a way. The sniper lined up a shot, but missed. Frantically, the sniper tried to get in another shot, but it was too late. Devil Alekssander grabbed the gun and pulled it away with such speed and force that it ripped the sniper's arm off due to the fact that he was still holding on to it. Laughing with sick delight, Devil Alekssander pounced on the deplorable sight, who was helplessly clutching at his stump. "You think that was bad?" Questioned D.A., "You don't know the meaning of pain." Now on top of the sniper, D.A. quickly reached for his whip. Grabbing the spiked end, he slowly dragged it across the sniper's throat, making it bleed profusely, with D.A. reveling in the sight of it. Finally, D.A. reached upwards with a clawed hand and brought it straight down on the sniper's neck, which was still bleeding. Slowly, D.A. spoke the last words the sniper would ever hear: "This one's from Rei." Without further ado, D.A. lunged forward facefirst into the sniper's face, where he proceeded to tear apart the sniper's face using his razor sharp fangs, continuing to do so even after the sniper was long dead.

Holly could feel his mind struggling to regain conscienceness so she whispered again in his ear, "Rei, come back. Follow my voice. Don't worry ahout your actions, we're all waiting for you to come back, we're going to be okay. Please, come back."
She'd seen this happened before, that's why she was so worried. But last time a mind was lost like this in her hands the mind never found it's way back and the wounded died in her hands. She only hoped it wouldn't happen to Rei; she'd blame herself.
Drake watched D.A. murder the sniper mercilessly and his stomache turned. He had to look away before he hurled.
He busied himself to searching for another target, trying to keep his mind away from Alex's; the joy of the kill reverberating through the the air and penetrating Drake's concentration.
Cliff had his back to Drake and was shooting other snipers when they showed their heads to try to take aim on them. But to his misfortune two rose at the same time and before he had a chance to kill them both one got a shot out at him and hit his thigh, luckily going all the way through.
"Damn..." He cursed under his breath.
"Drake cover me, I've been hit." He muttered as he put down his gun and took off his belt.
He tied his belt tightly around his leg above the wound to slow the bleeding, tore off his jeans and wrapped it around the wound, then picked his gun back up to continue shooting.

Rei began to wander through his mind, as if he was trapped in some maze of hallways. "She's right, I have to get outta here..." he thought to himself as Holly's voice rang through the halls. He began to walk through the halls, trying his best to get through. Outside of his mind, his fingers twitched the littlest bit, as he struggled to wake up.

Holly smiled at the site of his fingers twitching and became excited.
"That's it, Rei, follow my voice. Don't give up. We still need you. Please, wake up, please." She begged as she held onto his face eagerly.
