I love that hat! And the goggles, you look like a aviator straight out of the movies!

And lookies, I finally have a contribution! Some of you know Isinglass and I started dating a bit after we met at the con. A few weeks ago we went to the SS Great Britian (a huge old victorian steamship) for a date, and here are the steamed up pics!:

Aww, those are lovely pictures!
I went to the SS Great Britain when I was in primary school, s' jolly spiffy! Certainly one of the more steampunk parts of Britain's nautical heritage. It's a grand old ship, full of all sorts of victorian goodness, if you live in the UK it's worth a look!

(Also, why not check out the HMS Belfast and Victory? xd )

And a rather old (I should actually point out it's been a while since I've seen my natural hair colour!) picture of when myself and the professor tried to reach Mars using a synthetic form of Cavorite he'd read about in a science journal. Sadly we didn't make it as the launch site was attacked by a mysterious blue aeroplane... mrgreen

Ezra: Where did you find that mask of yours? Better yet, what is it made of? (I'm working on making one...)

I went geocaching with some of my friends. They all dressed like pirates, I went steampunk. Sorry that the first is a bit blurry. The second has me near a lean-to that we found by one of the trails. The third is me, but serves to prove how easy it is to make a false Sasquach (Bigfoot) photo.

My brother and I found a GeoCache up in upstate NY, but we couldn't get to it, because someone had put it on top of a boulder surrounded by air on all sides. It was about 20 ft tall and completely unclimbable. Grrr....

People who are interested, the mask and the hat are both rubber and came from this website. They have all sorts of amazing stuff, but I am hesitant to recommend them because they make things as they are needed and as such, when business gets busy take like.. 6 months to make the damned thing.

But they stock some of their wares in Cyberdog in Camden Town, London if you don't fancy waiting!

NB: Mr. Lutra, your photographs are all kinds of awesome! You have a skilled photographic hand and also a very nice hat!

NNB: 'Ank you everyone for saying nice things about my picture, obviously steampunk isn't my game! xd I made it using photoshop and a tutorial for making very old looking photographs which can be found here.

It's funny because I've followed that guide word for word many times and it's always come out differently! xd

unfortunately all I have that could be steamy is...my newly pin-curled hair attempts..and my goggles! <3 I have them almost finished! (I need to secure the lenses..as they are just kind of sitting in there..and the strap is a touch to large) Now my hands are sore from all the hairpins and leather sewing ><

Haha! I'm sorry to hear about your hands. I enjoy the joys of sewing, but usually I walk away with a variety of minor injuries..

Anyway. Your goggles look amazing! Very well made. The colours are spot on too!

haha thank you very much ^^ I'm still perfecting my pincurls (i look destressed?) ...and goggles for that matter; the strap is much to long~ but I dragged them to school today, and my teachers thought they were brilliant

Today I dressed as steampunk..ish as I can with my current wardrobe. That ended up with pinstriped black pants, a white blouse covered in clack embroidery (its such a cool shirt)..pocket watch chain..long coat..and my goggles.
