Arkell stopped and turned back to look at Erin in the doorway. She shook her head slowly. "No, I'm sorry I disturbed you. I was looking for a guy. I don't remember what he looked like though." She shrugged and then noticed Logan at the other doorway. She gave him a little wave and small her smile her hair having returned to normal at this point. "Sorry for what?" She asked confused as she turned back around cocking her head to the side.

Aya smiled proudly for gaining whatever it was you were supposed to in this game. She looked at him and blinked, then looked back up.
"I don't know. I've never really done anything before..."
Other than her schoolwork, all she had ever done was look outside the window or read. She didn't get to go out and do much, as she was always cooped up in her room. And she especially wasn't allowed to do anything while she was in The Cell. She tried to think of what Mikayla always did.
She giggled to herself. She was sure that Lite would not wish to color or play dress up.

"I don't know." she finally said, playing with the sand.

Another year of classes at Pacis Salus was beginning and Matthew couldn't have been more elated. While the summer break was enjoyable, seeing his family and old friends, Pacis Salus was more of a home to him. The boat he had arrived by was just beginning to depart for Japan, and he took a deep breath of the clear air. He carried his luggage toward the dorms, taking in the campus' natural beauty. On his way he saw a few faculty members with whom he exchanged pleasantries. It was warm but not humid, a climate he enjoys. Arriving at the pale dome of his residence for the coming semester, he entered.

The base floor of the Multis dorm looked the same as it always had, complete with new students scurrying about. Lowering his suitcases, he reached into his left pocket. Retrieving an official-looking slip of paper, he quickly read the details and proceeded to return the note to his pocket. Okay, so I'm going to be in the Room #2 this year. Grabbing his luggage once more, he dragged them across the main hall and up the stairwell. Elevators were available, but they saw constant traffic.

At the top of the stairway, he carried his provisions over to the door emblazoned with a large '2.' Dropping one bag, he swung the door open. Quickly retrieving his suitcase from the floor, he went inside. The rooms were all fairly uniform, and its sterile uninhabited aura made him want to unpack right away. Plopping his suitcase and pack on the bed further from the door, he went to close the door. Coming back, he sat down and layed back. Man, I'll never get used to the trips coming and going. 12 hours of mind-numbing boredom on a plane and an achingly slow boat ride. With my packed class schedule this year, I'll be lucky if I ever get enough rest, let alone recover rom jet-lag.

Erin was dumbstruck; of all the people in the entire school she could have possibly ended up assotiating with today, it seemingly ended up also being someone who seemed to already know her secret and someone who was so incredibly stubborn that she'd managed to run off and apparently write down her... well, his name. She rubbed her temples for a moment, sighing.

"Hang on, Arkell. Logan, whom you ought to remember, is probably apologizing about earlier... which you shouldn't remember. It's just really, really complicated. As for that apology... if you can read minds, or whatever it is, you could have just pulled the information out with everything else, if you know so much. Then again, I don't know how your power works any more than I know how mine does, so... apology accepted. I'm sorry about poking you in the forehead."

She leaned against the doorframe, looking again at both of them. It wasn't as though she was a thoroughly remarkable person, especially memorable... she had never particularly thought that. She didn't fault other people for forgetting Aaron so easily sometimes since she never tried all that hard to bring attention to herself. What was it with these two? What could possibly make both of them, this Arkell girl in particular, care at all? Or was it that she was the one that had simply stopped caring? No matter; she opened the door a bit wider, stepping back a bit. "Would you like to come inside? I can try to explain everything, I guess."

Arkell looked back at Erin her eyebrows furrowing together. How had she known her name? What was she talking about? Her face looked completely confused and lost as to what was going on. When Erin offered to let them come into her room so that she could explain whatever was going on she merely nodded and walked forward and into the girls room. She looked up and around at the girls room, all the posters and pictures on the walls, her eye widening a bit. SO many different colors and shapes. "Oooooo" she breathed out. She promptly took a seat on the floor Indian style all perked up and ready for the explanation to start.

(( Woo... and if anyone else touches Logan, I get to re-read their History section x3
I'll have the meeting start in a bit... I think we have one or two more profiles coming in, and I'll let him/her get a post or two in before I send everyone off to meet each other, and we'll break into teams there, too.
Anyone have any ideas for teams? How you think we should split into them?))

Logan frowned a bit and sighed, running a gloved hand through a portion of his hair. He kept his mouth shut for a moment, even as an offer for more explanation then he needed was given. He assumed it was mostly for Arkell, because he remembered everything. How could he not have? "Listen... When people touch me, I... I sort of absorb their memories. I can't exactly stop it, yet. I was apologizing because I now know more then I ever expected to know about very many people, about you."

He examined Erin for a moment, and continued to linger at his own door, keeping a sort of distance. "But, thanks, too. You helped me forget some of my issues I was having earlier. When you're Aaron again, maybe we could talk? Your current, erm.... form will make things difficult for me if I linger near you." He offered a small wave. "Nice to meet ya, neighbor." he murmured before disappearing back into his room.

Erin breathed a sigh of relief and nodded; at least everything made a little more sense, now, even if that meant that the one person that was bound to remember Aaron for any length of time couldn't stand being around Erin. She nodded to Logan. "I understand, now. Sorry, again, thank you, and... you're welcome, I suppose. First time someone's been happy to forget."

She would have said more, something along the lines of 'Nice to meet you, too,' but he had dissappeared into his room. Oh well; probably best that she didn't make him remember too much and knock him out again. Instead she turned and headed into her own room, shutting the door behind her before taking a seat on the floor besides Arkell. She wasn't sure quite what to say, so she cracked her neck and straightened our her shirt first.

"Okay... Arkell. I'm Erin Leerup, the person you were looking for, but to properly explain I'll need to know what you remember first, okay?"

Terra closed her book as the boat she was on docked at Pacis Salus. She shoved the book in a brown messenger back that substituted as her purse before putting it over her shoulder and grabbing her suitcase. A few other students got off the boat as well, but instead of going with them to the dorms, she lingered at the dock. She could just sneak back on the boat, call her parents and ask them to buy her a plane ticket back to California. The thought was tempting, since she really didn’t want to go to this school in the first place. All she wanted to do was be average, and not some mutant.
After a few minutes she sighed and turned her back to the boat. She knew exactly where her dorm was, since she had forced herself to remember it. Room one in the girls section of the Silex dorm. She kept repeating the words in her head as she walked as if she was going to suddenly forget them.
Once she came to the building she immediately went to her dorm room, paying no attention to the other students. Once she had reached her room she set her suitcase down on the vacant bed. She looked over at the other bed and sighed. She didn’t want to have a roommate, not because they annoyed her, but the other way around. She often stayed up late at night so she could read or study.
She looked at the rest of the dorm, and even though her roommate had already unpacked, it looked barren. As she looked around, a window caught her eye. She had been told this particular dorm building was indestructible, but she still wanted to test it. She closed her eyes and concentrated for a moment. There was no shattering sound, and when she opened her eyes the window was intact. With a smile she began to unpack her things

Riley chuckled, setting the gecko back down. He watched it scamper off before look at Harmony again. He ran his hand through his hair, letting the strands fall one by one in front of his face.

"So...what's your story? Parents kick you out? Or did you..."

Riley trailed off. He realized how personal that question was, and he wished he could take it back.

-------

"Ah, so you attended private schools? I attended public schools my whole life. Well, what was left of my life before this."

Lois smiled, sticking his thumbs in his pocket. It was a habit [he hated putting his whole hand in his pocket]. Silver and gold rings adorned his right hand, while a wristband clung to his left wrist. But that was the only jewelry the guy had. He knew most people expected guys from public schools in low-class neighborhoods were expected to have piercings and tattoos. But Lois had no piercings, and his only tattoo was one of a Chinese Dragon on the small of his back.

Harmony let her hand fall to her side as he put down the gecko. Riley's question caught her off gaurd. It was a question that she never really talked about. "Well, my mother tried to get rid of me as fast as possible as soon as she figured it out. But it was expected. She had been planning on sending my brother away just to seperate us, but sending me away was probably a lot easier for her." Harmony replied, looking back at the ground. She looked over at the gecko from before and let her eyes follow it while she spoke. There was a slight feeling of pain when she mentioned her brother. They had been so close that hurt to be so far away from him not even knowing what happened to him after she left. Shaking her head, Harmony looked back up at Riley and forced a soft smile onto her lips. " If you don't mind me asking, what about you?" she asked not knowing how he would reply. He didn't seem like he really wanted to ask her the question, so she wondered if it was right to ask him the same.

Riley bit his lip. He didn't look at Harmony as she spoke, guilt overcoming him. But when she asked about him, he only smiled.

"I guess when you pick up a refrigerator and threaten to throw it at your mom, things don't end up the way you want," he joked.

Riley wasn't ashamed of what he did to his mom. She'd pushed him to far by wanting to send him back to that hell hole. So she'd gotten what she'd deserved. Of course, he hadn't thrown it. But it had definitely scared the crap out of her.

"And public. And just about anywhere else my parents thought I might actually go to. I just, never saw much of a point in going. And they always had to send those stupid councilers after me. Somehow they never realized that I always skipped the day I was supposed to meet with them..." Aki trailed off, shrugging. She was somewhat suprised he was still talking to her, and wasn't thinking she was a complete freak. Even though that would be one of the better things I've been called back home... she thought. "Were you glad to leave?"

Lite quizzed himself of things to do, and one of the most obvious options popped in last. He spoke up, "Well, we should get to know the place, right? I'm not sure if I've been here before, but then again, who knows. We should take a walk and get to know the place, right? I suppose this being a school and everything, we'll be spending some time on the island." He once again propelled himself up using on the air around him. "Besides, I think there's going to be an orientation or something soon. I hope they have like, food and stuff. I'm starving. Being as light as I am, it's hard to keep from being hungry." He stood for her response, not caring if he sounded forward or not.

"No, I wasn't. I left my sister and my mom when they needed me most."

Lois looked away, his gaze falling to the ground. He could still see Abby's tearful face and his mom's own sad face. He'd left them alone, and the boy was truly regretting it. He had told himself over and over again that it was the right thing to do. But Lois had been the only one holding his family of three together.

Aki looked away, immediately regretting bringing it up. "Sorry, didn't mean to pry..." she murmured, wondering what her own family was doing. Probably hoping I don't get kicked out and can last two years... Then I won't have to go back. she thought, remembering how relieved her mother had been when they found out she was a mutant. It had been a perfect excuse to finally get rid of her.
