That doesn't even work in Canada.
Even people BORN here don't list "Canadian" when asked their heritage.
They list everything else.
Even if they're 6th+ generation Canadian.
And with freedom of speech comes the freedom to speak in whatever language you want.
I do agree that people have to adapt to the new culture they are in, to an extent. You can't change who you are, but you can at least understand and accept the social norms of that country.

I agree, Pistil, but the fact that they can accept that we, the danes who "owns" the country, dont see our religion as a rule book, but as something we believe in (I dont, but most do) and that we can easily make fun of it, because that is the way we work. We have for years been discussing/arguing about this with the fundamentalists of Christianity, and they have only just recently given in, as long as we dont totally over do it.
A large company named Bilka, who sell normal groceries and stuff, kinda like wall-mart (I think) made some slippers last summer with pictures of Jesus and stuff, and they became upset about it, ofcourse. Bilka soon took the slippers out of production again, because they realized that they had overstepped the border and they appologised.
I cant see why the ******** the muslims cant just accept Minister Fogh's apology and let it be at that. Now the muslims have made drawings of Jesus and Fogh, probably in an attempt to piss us off, but its not working.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a post in the Culture subforum and some german to do.

I can't understand it either.
Especially since the muslims here in Canada were upset, but in essence did absolutely nothing about it.
It was definetly blown way out of proportion as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, eventually I'll want to be able to say twenty (my age).
Which will make me fill in the gap. XD
But I can't just look at the words in a list (I've tried, it doesn't work).
I have to hunt them down in a svenska-engelska ordbok.
Which happens to be over 50 years old. ninja
