Akiko managed to find her way to the Bamboo Forest or at least it appeared to be it, seeing how she walked into a forest like area surrounded by bamboo it was safe to assume, at least this once if no other time. As she continued to journey into the forest she still had trouble recalling what she was planning to do with her hair exactly, she new it was simple but she just couldn’t recall what.

After casually strolling though the thick forest the winter clothed girl finally caught sight of human and lion figures up ahead; she was hoping it was the class…though it didn’t appear that much teaching was going on “I hope this means I’m not late.” She said to herself as she slowly approached the small group, she noticed the snake boy, the girl that gave her the scrunchy, Karite, the random cub from her first day, and an unidentified adult. “Good morning.” Akiko said with a muffled voice, feeling the heat from her breath being absorbed by her scarf. She hoped she would be able to finish with her hair before they got started, the sooner she finished the sooner she would be able to take it down.

As soon as Akiko’s thoughts ended her memory suddenly resurfaced, and honestly now that she thinks about it it’s hard to believe she had forgotten such a simple hair style. Finding a spot on the ground the Ibazi began to unbutton her trench and search though its numerous inner pockets, the girl pulled out tiny flower clips, small things to tie her hair with, and the black decorative comb. After laying the items in front of her Akiko picked up the comb and placed it behind the fuzzy scrunchy, the comb helped the fuzz stand out against her white hair. Now she was nearly done all she had left to do was decorate to help it look slightly less plain then it already does.

"So you do have pigment in that snow-white skin!" Orika exclaimed, referring to the fact that Shisei's morning exercises had caused the slightest blush to crawl up to his skin. The girl adjusted her hairband, newly decorated from yesterday and still looking very pretty. She had kept the hairstyle too, deciding that the single parted bang in front accentuated her eyes. However, Orika had decided she would never wear make up again, never ever! That goop had taken half an hour to wash off and caused her to break out too! Speaking of the girls' class... "'Morning, Akiko!" Orika called, waving wildly to greet the first girl she'd seen all day. If it weren't for there being an entire pack of females yesterday, Orika would have figured the island held only guys. Now that wouldn't be very much fun! She noticed that the other girl was still working on her hair so obviously Akiko was a perfectionist. Who else would spend so much time on something one did everyday? "Your hair looks really good," Orika pointed out with a gentle smile, "Maybe you could try what I did and put your hair into a style you'd want to wear everyday. Then, you know it'll always look good on you." The girl's eyes left Akiko and looked around the dim lit forest for Karite and Kore, but couldn't find any traces of the two. The boy had mentioned wanting to go somewhere where he felt like he belonged, so did that mean he meant to skip class today? Sure, training to beat Tanu was important, but wasn't it also hurtful to deny himself education with a trained ninja sensei? Oh, that reminded her. Where was that Colorblind Ogre anyway? Orika ignored the teacher's question for the moment, history never being her best subject. She took a running start and jump as high as she could up a towering bamboo stalk. However, her hands failed to find a solid grip and the girl slid down the pole, rejected. Orika winced when she hit the ground, her foot landing on a particularly sharp rock. As such, she was thankful for the first time that she'd been forced to wear sandals today.

Etai, that really stung! Orika curled her legs up against her chest, waiting for her butt to stop hurting so she could climb the bamboo and look for Karite and Tanu again. Meanwhile, she didn't have anything else to do but pay attention to Blondie-sensei. The girl stifled a yawn when the man made an obvious statement. "Of course they did," Orika muttered with a roll of her eyes. You didn't need a book to figure that out. "Why else would the island be so far out in the ocean, surrounded by nothing by leagues and leagues of water?" She swept her arm out to indicate just how vast the ocean was, then continued, "It wasn't for the ample resources Shima has, that's for sure. Ichi-sama was sick of the way the daimyos treated the shinobi so he invited a bunch of ninja to establish a new community with him. He asked Shinichi-sama from the Fire Country to come with him so the daimyo over there got mad at him for taking his best man away. There was also a bounty on Yuki-sama's head cause... um... I think she was the sick daimyo's doctor. Yeah, he got hit with a really nasty arrow." Orika clutched her hand over heart and mockingly stuck out her tongue, eyes crossed.

Thank you.” Akiko said returning a smile to Orika, though the other girl wouldn’t be able to see it, courtesy of the scarf. “Your hair still looks nice as well.” The winter clothed girl observed as she picked up a few of the black, gray, and clear flower clips and began placing them randomly throughout her hair. “Maybe.” There was a small possibility that Akiko would put more effort into her hair in the mornings, though she doubted it. The Ibazi always preferred to leave her hair loose and only fixed it up during special occasions; she would more then likely take it down before the day ends. But for now she should finish so she has something to take down later. Collecting random locks of her hair Akiko began to braid a few pieces; it would help add detail to the ponytail. As she did this Akiko’s eyes began to watch the busy Orika, she proved to be interesting as she attempted to climb the bamboo, and she also proved to be quite knowledgeable when it came to Shima.

Karite rolled his neck as he got ready for his next run. Shaking out his limbs he looked at the strip to make sure nothing was there that would make him fall. seeing it was clear Karite began to run, as he did a flashback came into his mind. He use to run down the streets of the wave country a lot like this. It was nothing new to him, but it had been a long time since he had tried anything like it. As he rotated into the roll his hands spun again turning him into the opposite direction. Back on his feet Karite turned his head sharply his hair and earring spinning with him. A whistle was breaching through the forest. Someone was calling for someone. Hopefully he wasn't in any trouble. Walking towards the sound Karite left Kore where he was. He was much more interested in dodging that bird then the noise.

Karite emerged through the bamboo stalks looking a little cold. His body was heated up but he was cold as ice. Karite tried his best but the goosebumps were popping up everywhere. "Did someone call for me?" Looking around Karite could see this must have been the classroom for today. At least Kore was close by and no one could kick him out of the forest. stepping closer to the group Karite plopped down. Shivering he began to hold himself tightly. "Damn Shimada. Ripped my only shirt." mumbling into his chest. "So whats everyone doing in the forest?" Karite asked with a squinted smile on his rosy cheeked face.

Akiko returned any remaining hair items back to her pockets and pulled out her broken paddle ball. Placing the stringless toy in front of her she button her coat back up and caught sight of a familiar flash of green advancing toward the area. “So what’s everyone doing in the forest?” Akiko eyed Karite as he sat down, he should really wear a shirt in this weather. As for the question she didn’t know specifically she hadn’t caught much of the information for class today “Class is being held here. Would you like to borrow my scarf?” Without waiting for an answer she threw it next to the boy, she felt her body temper dropping just from looking at him. Shaking the thoughts off she picked up her childhood paddleball toy, broken yes, but it still had a use.

Akiko began to push her chakra though out the carved wood and though the center of the paddle, creating a string of chakra. Now all that was left was to attach the ball, picking up the small red sphere she held it at the end of the string. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to channel her energy source into the ball as well, proof was the very ball that now lay dormant on the ground.

Just to pass the time
Akiko decided to play a little paddle ball in-between questions. Akiko will channel as much chakra into her broken paddle ball. The ball is connected by a string of her chakra; the goal is to keep the ball connected until her chakra runs out. So long as the ball is attached she doesn’t have to play but can for added fun.

Udo, satisfied that he finally had the attention of the students, nodded his head towards Orika. She'd been here longest; her family was in this book. They had been here since the start of Shimagakure. She would probably have an advantage over the other students. Even so, he still wanted to test their history.

"Very good, Orika. And you, Shisei...and you must be Karite and Kore, though you never did show your faces at the Udon stand like Prodo said you would. Tsk, tsk, missed out on dinner. But you I don't know...the next question. In what year, numerical and zodiac, was Shimagakure founded?" Udo wondered how many people, besides Orika, would know the answer. He had directed his comment about not knowing the person towards Akiko, and frowned only slightly when she started to play with a paddleball using her chakra. Good training, and clever...but moderately rude during a class discussion. He didn't actually mind, but it was almost as if she didn't particularly care about the opinions of others in her class that might find the activity bothersome while they tried to answer questions.

"Hi again, Karite!" Orika chirped with a wave. She snugly settled back in place, the cold, rock hard ground doing nothing to draw the tough little girl away. Ha, Karite was such a wuss, shivering when the first snows hadn't fallen yet. It made her think that he didn't train hard enough or the heat would have warmed his body up. Still, the girl remembered how she'd dragged him into the water and felt guilty at the boy's discomfort. What if he caught a cold or worse? "My mom can help you get a shirt," Orika offered, "Come by the farms after class, okay?" She turned back to Blondie-sensei when he asked another question. Ah, wait, what year was this? Uh, uh... Year 99 was the Ox... and she was born ten years before that. Orika scratched a few numbers into the ground, biting her thumbnail as she tried to remember her figures. On the first village wide dinner, they had done something to celebrate the animal, but what? Oh yeah, Shuga had caught a really tasty wild boar! "Year 96 and the pig!" Orika replied confidently.

Sorri interlocked his fingers and reached out, cracking his knuckles to take the itchy like feel they were giving off. He went into his his hoody pocket and adjusted his yo-yo string on his finger before toying around with. HE gave a few lazy flung it at the ground, thus putting it to sleep then catching it after it whizzed up. Around this time Orika had just brilliantly answered another question correctly. He raised an eyebrow somewhat impressed
"Your kinda smart for an annoying girl huh?"

He looked up at Orika with a smirk before walking over to a wall of bamboo and leaning against it.

Orika beamed at the white-haired boy who had just came to class. "Why, thank you! she said, smirking back even though the kid had insulted her. As long as he recognized her abilities, the girl didn't mind a little bantering among her peers. "Are you all rested up, Ibazi-san?" Orika jested as she pulled herself from the ground. She remembered seeing him around the village now, though they hadn't ever talked so naturally the girl didn't know his first name. "I'm Orika! she declared, jabbing her thumb into her chest. She waited exactly 5 seconds for him to give his name, then realized she couldn't control the restlessness that was always building inside. Orika gripped the bamboo pole with one hand and pulled herself up, her muscles straining with each length she climbed up.

When Orika pointed out the small flush within Shisei’s face, the snake child immediately used one of his sleeves to wipe his face. He rubbed his cheeks with one sleeve as if someone had slung mud on his face. “Its nothing.” he replied quickly in defense. By the time his facial wiping disengaged the boy stared at the taller girl. Her hair was different, with a headband in it. She also was wearing sandals today. The snake youth had just assumed her wild nature would not permit footwear. Yet she proved him wrong. The bubbly teen left Shisei to greet another student. Another female, the one whose features were nearly as pale as his. Her love for the color white far surpassed his. Her hair was also looking different. As if trying to impress someone. “You two look nice.” the snake child lightly stated. It was a thought that was really to remain in his head, but the boy didn’t mind if it slipped out. Whatever the females made of it was up to them.

Then the chef of riddles decided to start the lesson with a question. Before Shisei could return an answer Orika had already answered. While falling from one of the bamboo trees. “So weird…” the youthful Orochi thought about the older female. Her weird mannerisms and bouncy personality were different to be around. Even when she addressed Karite about his shirt (only Kami knows why he’d be going barefoot and no shirt in this weather…) it just had that different appeal. There was no doubt about her mind though. She guessed another question correctly before anyone else got the chance to answer. Either she had a cheat sheet or the girl had an underlying intelligence.

This was also further reconfirmed by another student with albino hair and skin complexion that could match Shisei and Akiko. Actually this person and that girl did seem to have some things similar. Gold eyes gazed between the two as pale ears awaited another question.

Sorri nodded, he remembered Orika as well as the blow dealt to her...though they weren't the best of buddies at the moment..even the thought of losing his father was scary. He couldn't stand to lose another family member, not now, not yet. He watched her pller her way upp the bamboo and and shook his head, he couldn't think of anyone they couldn't stand still...well there was Aya, she was hyperactive, and Maya was over attracted to fighting. Was he becoming the quiet guy that sat back and watched like Xyn? Oh no, but this was the best way to learn about people, watching them!. He shook off that scary thought and looked at his cousin still directing the conversation to Orika

"You can call me Sorri or You use to be in the farm...so your attending the academy now?"

Clearing his throat, Udo smiled.

"Orika does have a certain advantage over the rest of you doesn't she? She's been here since the village was settled." Chuckling, he stood - a smile on his face was the first illusion he held to them. He dropped it quickly though.

"You all came here to train your bodies, and even now, Orika, you continue. Is it possible at all for any of you to sit as still as Sorri?"
Udo had caught the boy's name as he said to to Orika. Shaking his head, he opened the book, but then looked over at Orika. She was definitely going to know all, if not most, of these questions...oh well. The others would have to be quick on the draw.

"Which clan on Shimagakure doesn't require you to be born to the bloodline to be part of it?"
