Seraphina smiled to herself. Yes, her body still worked just as it was suppose to. She could fly, the skies belonged to her. "Well," she grinned. "We've covered the basics, let's see what this body can really do!" She folded back her wings, launching into a sharp dive, plummeting back towards the water's surface at breakneck speed.

His eyes watched before he glanced at his own wings. They were big, meant for the skys, for speed and to cover large sections of air. Hers were delicate and he frowned. Maybe he was wrong in his assumption that she was his...

Seraphina laughed out loud, pulling up at the last possible second so that her hooves just slimmed across the surface of the water. It had been so long since she'd flown just for fun! Why had she stopped? Her responsibilities, to her herd in her mother's absence, to the children, so many that ran without their parents to watch them - so much to do. How she wished it could always be like this, flying freely without worry or care...

A smile graced his lips as he slipped to the water's edge, seeking a drink for his mouth. It was going to hurt to push it out but he needed something to moisten his mouth that was cool. He stretched his wings out, airing out and feeling the wind circulate. He shuddered, half wishing it was her instead... Pushing thoughts away he glanced back to the treeline.

A flicker of movement on the shore caught the pegasus' eye. What the- she wondered trying to shift to get a better look. She should have been more careful. Seraphina gasped as a sudden gust of wind threw off her equilibrium, sending her toppling into the cold water.

His head snapped up at the huge splash of water. Wings formed up, creating a shield of sorts, protecting his face from becoming wet. With the water subsiding and touching his hooves, Dimitri frowned. Seraphina wasn't in the sky.
"Sh@T!" was his only response before he was in the water. He felt around, praying he'd find her before he found her and pulled her to him and swam to the top. He pulled her to shore and checked for any signs of breathing?

The cold had forced the air from her lungs after she hit the water. She had been floating, disoriented - she didn't know which way was up or down. She could only struggle in the water until suddenly she felt herself being lifted by strong arms. Then suddenly she was free from the water, laying on the shore. She coughed softly, not wanting to open her eyes.

Dimitri sighed, glad she was alright. She was breathing. That was good right? Just to be safe, Dimitri sent himself inside, to search for any other injury, healing it as he went. When he was was through, he pushed himself away, not trusting himself near her. He really didn't deserve her...

Seraphina groaned softly as she tried to push herself up. For some reason she felt warmer now and breathing wasn't such a laborious effort. "Hey..." she murmured hearing the retreating hoof falls. "Aren't you at least going to let me thank you?"

Hey... she thought struggling to open her eyes. I know that voice. She should have known all along. Who else would be there to catch her when she fell?

Dimitri finally turned his head, letting his wings naturally rise above his head.

"Where do you think you're going?" She asked softly, pushing herself up from the ground slowly to rise to her full height. She slowly spread her wings, nuzzling any disheveled feathers back into place. I must look like such a mess, she half groaned to her still dripping wet self.

He was back at her side when she asked where he was going. He couldn't help but smile. You look beautiful... he whispered in her mind, an absent caress following the thought.

Seraphina paused and looked up at him surprised to find herself smiling. You're doing it again... she whispered back, her voice in his mind carrying a teasing note. "And You didn't answer my question," she added aloud.
