Chuckling, Esmée nodded. "Of course, Bneut. I just told you something a bit corny myself, after all." And, naturally, Esmée wanted to hear every word he had to say. She loved listening to him. He always had something good or loving to say, and when it wasn't that, he was just pleasant to listen to in any case.
"I'm listening." As she always would be.

Yukio chuckled, "How could I not figure out it was you? You're still the most handsome pae I will ever meet Haru." He smiled, returning the hug happily. "How have you been Haru, I haven't seen you since the halloween party." Phim spied Shageki talking to Zoe, one of the two women he was looking for. Slowly walking up to her, he chuckled. "Zoe?" The fallen angel asked, wrapping his arms around her waist waiting to see her reaction before doing anything else. He may not have been one for love and that mushy stuff but there was something special about her.

OOC: eek ...T.T Cinthy at Jazz, Phim at Zoe, Shageki = SHOVED! Dang you all are so mean to my poor loveless demonic
BIC:The male really wouldn't hold his breath with raken. He glanced at Zoe before lightly smiling and shaking his head. "I believe...that it could also be a place to meet someone. I myself don't have-" He cut off as the purple angelic stepped behind Zoe, wrapping his arms around her. Oh...Well...He coughed into his hand slightly. "Ah. Excuse me. I'll just go mingle now. It was...nice seeing you Zoe." He turned and promptly began his way away from the two, mentally cursing himself. For some odd reason, he really felt like punching Junior in the face.

((MASSIVE POST BACK OF DOOOOM! biggrin ))
---
Kane snarled. "What is with you stupid Pae? I swear, you all think you have to cling to one another all the time! Why in all hell would I need another Pae for anything? There's more to life than just mating you know, if you can manage to get your mind out of the drainage ditch long enough to realize that." Guardians, how shallow was the rest of the Pae'il population? Not for the last time, Kane found himself wishing that he might be better off staying a tiger permanently next time...
"More than an unknown beast? But, if it's unknown, then how can you possibly know what it's capable of?" He couldn't help but smirk at his logic. Afterall, he'd seen things in his lifetime that would keep her from sleeping a wink at night ever again...
Needing a break from the conversation, Kane's eyes darted to the nearby table of food and he turned his back on the crazy female to peruse the choices. Hmm...a bowl of some sort of lake-dwelling creatures...seemed they'd been boiled. Ah yes, 'shrimp' they were called, last he could recall. He didn't have much of a chance to eat those often, so might as well abuse the chance now. Grinning and fangs flashing, he delicately popped a couple in his mouth, easily pulling them from their shelled tails.
He paused only briefly to address her last question...afterall, these shrimp were rather tasty. "Who am I?" He laughed at that. "Now, where's the fun in that? Isn't this supposed to be a masquerade or something? Mystery and mystique and all that crap." His voice dripped sarcasm. "Plus, coming from the Pae running around and clinging desperately to strange males, I'd have to wonder just who in Telrunya you're supposed to be."
---
Young as Devyn might be, oblivious he was not. He'd noticed long ago that something seemed to be distracting the young beauty in his arms and it was only getting worse as time progressed. "Is something wrong?" he asked, frowning. "You seem a bit...distant." He tried to phrase it delicately in case he was only blowing things out of proportion.
---
Serefina nodded, still smiling though she was secretly a bit disappointed inside. Was that all there was to it here on land? How...boring. Poor land-dwellers had no idea how to dance... She perked up quite a bit though at Rain's next question, her eyes sparkling. "Oh, yes! I wish you could see it too...it's a beautiful place. Full of life and mystery..." She sighed wistfully, then smiled back with a hint of sadness as if she doubted her own words. "Maybe we could find a way one day for all Pae'il to come see the beauty of the lake as we Naiads can..."
---
Takeko smiled warmly, shaking her head with a soft laugh. "Of course I mean it, Aspen. I wouldn't have said it if I didn't." She shot him a teasing look as if asking him if he'd gone mad, then smiled back at Melek. "He's been a bit fussy, but I'm sure some time out will do him good. Maybe even wear him out a little."
Melek meanwhile was ready to get out of here and on his way. Fussing wasn't the best way to get what he wanted though and he knew it. Instead, he turned back to his mother and father, putting on his cutest pout, eyes wide and sparkling. "Party...?" His vocabulary was far more developed than this by now, of course, but whenever he wanted something, he seemed to revert back into a simpler form of communication, using only one or two words to ask for what he wanted. In a way, it was almost a more effective form of communication, as fewer words got in the way.

OOC: o.o; no I didn't. You did! Tartara "Well...first things first." She smiled, amused as he fumbled about with the entire thing. The female gently took the sorry daisies to kiss one of its heads. "I should get dressed. It is a masquerade party. And...get these poor things a new vase. I'll be right back." With that, she was walking down the hallway, smiling helplessly at the poor excuse for flowers. She definitly could do worse for a fake boyfriend...she definitely could.

She blinked, for once, honestly...surprised. With her father, she had always been surrounded by family. Majority of them were obsessed with love and the rest denied it like a disease. She went with the latter. "Oh...so you're like Niday..." She spoke quietly before brushing some red bangs out of her face. Curiousity quieted anger and her defensive nature...for now. "Just trying to classify you. But one things for sure. All beasts, unknown or not, react in the same primal ways..." She reached over to the table to a bowl of cashews, and flicked a nut at him to bounce right off the back of his head. "And mystery is only for things worth hiding." She really was tempted to slam his head into the punch bowl though if he ever made another reference to her dark-clinging.
She jumped slightly as the male spoke, eyes focusing on him. She almost blushed, almost. Criofan was the only one to manage that one yet. The female nodded though with a coy smile, moving a bit closer to the male infront of her. "No..." The song turned slow, coaxing her to let go of his hand to join with the one around his neck. The tipsy pae really wasn't of concern anyway. "Nothing at all."

Bneut looked at her, still smiling. "I love you Esmee." The flower pae closed his eyes as he spoke, trying to contain something deeper from blurting out after he spoke. "You are my muse, and best yet, Esmee, you were kind enough to let me call you mine."

Esmée's heart fluttered. As corny as his statement was, it was incredibly sweet and romantic as well. "I love you too, Bneut. You've changed me. I used to be so negative about everything. Now what I have you, the world seems like a better place." That was corny as well, but it was the truth. "Without you, even things I enjoy seem like a chore. You make everything have more energy."
While his sister got corny with Bneut, Criofan watched Erylia place her arms around Devyn's neck. What?! She should have been doing that with him, not with this random green Pae'il that came out of no where. So he thought he could have his Erylia, eh? His queen? Well, Criofan wasn't going to have that. He cracked his knuckles behind his back before strolling towards the dancing couple.
When he arrived behind Devyn, he prodded him in the shoulder. "Who are you, and what the hell are you doing with my Queen?" The leprechaun wasn't going to take this. No one got away with stealing his queen.

Christopher stood there watched as Adora walked away, talking about getting dressed up and everything. Why on this godforsaken island would she need to get dressed up for? He's not dressed and he was just fine with it at the moment. After Adora had disappeared down the hallway, the male pae'il looked around for a place to sit. Where are the heck all the furniture in here?! Ah found one, he exclaimed to himself in thought as he plopped down on the decorative piece of furniture nowadays called an 'couch'.
Ducky sighed as she looked up at Junior. "YOu seemed to be thinking about something really hard," she murmured as she twirls slowly in his arms before snuggling against his muscular chest. "Junior... you ever think about having children again?

((I wrote with Apollo too. wink
Well, you don't know what will happen do ya?))
?Zoe was surprised by the sudden arms. She turned her head to see Phim. "Oh, hello Freddy." She winked at the name that wasn't his real name. Zoe watched as Shageki left. "Oh, bye. It was nice seeing you too." She was a little sad to see him go. It had been a while since she saw him.
Rain thought about Seraphina's words. "Oh, well I think Hula Bob has a relative that can make a bubble around him maybe he can make other's bubbled too?" He wasn't really sure as he had never met Tiki Jim or saw his power before.

"Darn straight." He said with a chuckled, Haru was more than a little concieted. "Not much, what about you?" He usually more interested in himself, but since growing to adult he was open his mind and figuring out, albiet slowly, that he wasn't the only pae on the isle.
Aspen laughed and then pulled Takeko in a hug, "Yeah I know. I'm just not a clothes kind of guy." He then smiled down at Melek, "Worn out is good." Aspen nodded, "Yup we're at a party." He wasn't sure what Melek wanted...

Junior blinked, looking at Ducky, having come to a dead stop as Ducky shocked him with the thought of more children. "I've thought about it before Ducky..." The demon looked at her, taking his mask and shades off so she knew he was perfectly serious. "Each time I came to the conclusion that I wasn't sure if we were ready for more yet." Junior had a dull look on his face as he said this, then looked into his wife's gorgeous eyes and smiled. "We had a large shock when Jester and Bneut showed up on our doorstep and then Hortense and Sari were born that same night.. If you'd like more I won't say no, but can we think about it first?" Bneut smiled, pulling Esmee close, forgetting the dance. "Thank you Esmee." He said, gently kissing her. The flower pae hoped to be with her for the rest of his life, no matter what. Even if it meant leaving his family behind so he could live with or even near her. "I've been missing you Haru." Yukio smiled, gazing at Haru in his pretty dress. "It's a shame to not see such a handsome man." The snowman pae chuckled, being entirely serious. He enjoyed seeing Haru, more than he realized. Phim chuckled, "You can call me by my real name Zoe. Even if she is here I'd rather you call me my name than that fake thing.." The fallen angel disliked using a fake name very much, though he knew it was useful in some areas where he was more known by his name than his appearance.

Kane shook his head, for once in disbelief. This femme was too much. "I don't know if I'm like anybody. And maybe you should keep in mind that not everything is so easily sorted or categorized." He wasn't going to bother to correct her anymore regarding the unknown world or even the stupidity of some of her beliefs. He got the feeling it wouldn't do any good anyway, so why waste energy? It was her problem if she didn't want to listen to reason.
He'd plucked a couple more shrimp from the bowl when the cashew pinged off the back of his head. Light as the sensation was, he didn't care, whirling around immediately and snatching the offending projectile out of mid-air. Eyebrow raised, the demon had an odd look on his face as he surveyed her, speaking softly. "Tsk tsk...you know, it's not nice for little girls to go and throw perfectly good food around so wastefully." Without another word, he lightly flicked the cashew back at her, taking expert predatory aim for the center of her forehead.
---
"Alright, if you say so," Devyn nodded, still feeling uneasy. She seemed distracted by something and it was distracting him in turn. Unfortunately, the demon didn't have long to puzzle this over further before someone roughly poked him in the shoulder.
Frowning, he reluctantly pulled away from Erylia to look back over his shoulder. Sighting the male Pae from earlier that had been staggering about, Devyn raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me? Queen?" He shook his head slightly, wondering what exactly this guy was going on about. Maybe he'd been having more than punch this evening. All the signs sure pointed to it. "Sir, I'm not sure what business it is of yours, but I'd prefer that you take a moment to calm down and explain yourself further before we endanger any type of misunderstanding."
---
Serefina looked surprised. "Oh? That sounds...like an interesting ability! I wonder how it works..." The idea was intriguing...perhaps she really could share her world with the land-dwellers one day! Well, at least a couple at a time. Either way, it was encouraging.
She continued dancing with Rain, surprised that land dancing wasn't as difficult as she'd thought. Of course, her practice in walking on land and preventing her legs from getting tangled up had probably helped a lot. She kept her mind on not stepping on her dance partner's feet, though she took a hesitant step every once in a while.
"You're...a really good dancer," she smiled, blushing a bit behind her mask. Thank the Guardians for her natural coloring as camouflage!
---
Melek sighed tiredly. Well, it worked most of the time at least... The angel boy turned back to his mother and pouted. "Moooom...paaaaarty!" He flashed her an adorable childlike smile, sure to win her over.
Takeko laughed, shaking her head. "I think he knows exactly where we are, hon. I think he's just tired of standing in the doorway though. Our boy seems eager to get to the party itself." Still chuckling, the female angel set the boy down on his own two feet, keeping a motherly eye on him as he set out to explore the excitement himself.

Shale chuckled and shook his head. "Your ramblings are quite fine and appreciated, my dear. Though I will confess I have not a clue what you're rambling about."
Gently he placed a hand over Sari's and looked down at her. "When we return, would you honor me with a waltz?" The blush on his cheeks returned as he searched her face for any hint of discomfort.
