Our cheerleaders do chants with the band, they love the band, and they REALLY love the drumline! blaugh

Our cheerleaders... eh... I really don't know how they feel about the band. I'm not exactly connected with the grapevine, per say. However, I know that most of the band members like to make fun of the cheerleaders because they have their 3-line cheers stuck to the wall because they can't remember the words, "Go, Fight, Win!"

I don't think they are liking us this year because our drumline leaves after halftime to go practice, so that means they can't do the "Hey band.... hey what.... hey band... hey what... let me see you get down... no way.... let me see you get down... ok! *band dances to drums*"
They are doing this stupid thing now where they all get into a big circle with the pep squad and a few of the color guard girls and be like "Little sally walker was walkin down the street. Did not no what to do when we happened to meet. She said "come on girl, shake that thing, shake that thing don't stop..."" I reallllly have no idea... I was like "No. I am staying here. You are not going to drag me into this." and like only 3 of us stayed behind. Although I hate the cheerleaders as a whole, some of them are my friends and neighbors, so they don't really hate us. They are just annoying.
But I guess we're all in a good mood though because our football team, which only won ONE game last year... when we weren't there... Has won all the games so far, so we are 3 and 0. Each game, the stadium is becoming more and more full.

the band hates the cheerleaders at our school.
they are attention whores.
stealing our dances, dancing during out stand tunes, making us participate in cheers.
last year, we gave them a real subtle hint that we dont like them. the one cheer that they would make us be a part of, there would be a line the cheerleaders say "i'd like to see you get down" and instead of playing along and eventually get into drum cadence, we all sat down.

gandalf7863 Im wondering why cheerleaders hate the band I mean we never done anything to them but why do they hate us. just cause were not atheltic and wear tight and play foot ball we are still cool in our own way. mrgreen Hope you like i hate cheerleaders...they make fun of our uniforms and ours are way better than theres!

Most band nerds I know mock the cheerleaders. They speed up the music so they have to dance faster and faster.

Our cheerleaders love us. They even know me, so they cheer me on sometimes when I'm conducting, they're really nice!
edit: now I feel completely cheesy...oh well stressed

I don't know why cheerleaders hate us at my school but I guess it could be because of like everything said in the thread. But I do know why we hate them...
THEY'RE SKANKY HO'S! If you were to see there dance to the fight song you'd think they were trying to do themselves on the field. And last year they stole the whole guard routine to Sunset Express from our field show to do in the Memorial Day Parade. I was really ticked.
Can't they ever come up with they're own routines instead of stealing from the ColorGuard.

The reason they hate the band is because we take all the attention they were getting. Most of them are attention hogs.
