La. It's March 11th!
Any signs of an upcoming Quidditch match?
Oh yeah, a suggestion:
Instead of holding it on one day (several hours), we should stretch it out over a week. Though it won't be as efficient, it'll let everyone have a chance to play. Several of us live in different time zones--for example, Cerbera Dragon (Ravenclaw captain) is online usually around what would be midnight for me. (Which doesn't really work...>.>) There could be multiple moves ocurring simultaneously, and each player could be expected to make...say, 10 moves a day (with at least 2 in their morning and 2 in their afternoon?). (Barring the Seekers. But then the Snitch could be fragmented even further...?) I don't know.
I think a large problem is that all of us will be online at different times, and it's unlikely that all 14 (+announcer, scorekeeper and Madame Hooch) (17) can be on and stay on for a whole...let's say three hour match. Even with BUs, I don't think we can manage that...
I think it wouldn't be difficult to stretch the game over a week.
There are two problems with the stretching.
First, whichever seeker has more time online would find the Snitch first.
Second, it would be hard to gauge when a player would come back online and respond/play, and there would be a large amount of waiting involved.
So I'm not sure...
It's really confusing. o.o
We haven't had a chance to make a trial match work!
The few that you attempted to set up didn't even get heard about by enough people T__T
And...now Quidditch died. -sigh-
