Bri clapped her hands happily. "Thats great!" She smiled. Eva always made the best food she had always tasted and she had great stories to. It seemed, everyone did. She unfolded her legs and stood up, "I do hope that all this cidar though hasn't filled me up," she laughed setting the cup down on her saucer, placing it on the coffee table.

"Oh, Alec. I'm starving!" She said as soon as the person had made the anouncment. "Come on, let's go get something to eat." Kenzie said tugging at her brother's arm.
Alec smiled and laughed. "Alright. Come on, let's go sit down there." He pointed as Kenzie dragged him.

Blake smirked at Mr. Tollheit's short speech. "Though most people use counterfeit when they don't even know it. They will pass it onto others, thinking it is te truth but in reality, is not. Are you certain that your words are absolutely true?" he asked with a grin. He was really having fun now. This man was better than anyone else he played mind games with but he will soon fall like the others.

"Ah, outstanding," Barlow said, standing. "Miles is on errand at the moment, so I'll go check with Eva on the progress of dinner. Bri, I believe it was the story of Elise and Henry Tarlingen that inspired this meal. Eva is confident that she has finally found the right blend of spices, as well as the right wood to use."
Before he heads to the kitchen, he offers an explanation to Alec and Kenzie, "It's a whimsical story about a young brother and sister who have the perfect plate of smoked tuna by chance at a traveling carnival and end up on a journey to the four corners of their world looking the recipe. A good story for Spring, Summer or early Autumn."

Mr. Tollheit nods at Blake's assessment. "Yes, and in the case of knowledge or information, falsehoods grow more and more with each re-telling. But, as I said before, such lies are easy to spot in this place."
He paused for a moment, opening the briefcase and putting the piece of paper back inside. Then he closed the briefcase and held it loosely at his side. "You ask if I am certain of the absolute truth of my words. I could tell you that I am, but that would only lead into the tiresome realm of how YOU can be certain. Really, it would be best to show you, and let you make your own judgments. So, if you will, please describe..." his voice trailed off for a second, as he thought. "...your home town. Or someplace else that you have spent a great deal of time. A place where you could walk blindfolded without fear of tripping. As you do, envision yourself there. Recall the sights, the sounds, the smells. The texture of the ground under your feet. And you will see the true nature of this place for yourself."

"If I do that then that would be showing you information of myself. Therefore you would ge the information you want without giving me any." Blake smirked, Mr. Tollheit was an ameture.

"Why yes," said Mr. Tollheit, raising his eyebrows. "I do believe I said that my demonstration would also provide me with compensation for giving it. As it stands, we are at an impasse. It's of no profit to either of us." He backed up a step and leaned against the wall by the doorway. He looked up, as though he was lost in thought for a second, then smiled and said, "Or are we? Tell me, Blake, do you intend to stay and continue this little... chat... forever?"
--------------------
Elsewhere, Miles walked through the second floor hallways on his errand. He went down the corridors, retracing Blake's path. Eventually, he came to the end of the hallway. He stopped in front of a door frame, the same one that Blake had passed through. This time, though, there was no door. Just an expanse of blank wall within the frame.
"Oh, dear," said Miles. He turned and hurried back down the hallway in the direction that he had come.

((Happy New Year and Happy New Year to everyone else.))
"That all depends on you." Blake replied. He knew that Mr. Tollheit can keep this up for long. He could read him easily. He knew he was growing impatient and a few more pushes, he may snap. Ahh, the greatness of making one insane is the key. The key to victory.

Lexi coninued down the hall, sighing. She looked in all the rooms, trying to find out why this place was so weird.

Bri grinned at the prospect. She was absolutely thrill and wondered at how Eva had possibley found the recipe and how on earth did she get the right spies, surely it must have been something completley diffrent. Bri stood, stretching her her long arms and legs and wondered by the fire place, again admiring the intricasy of the detail. Barlow's house allways kept her busy and intrigued.
(Edited: Sorry, didn't notice Alec and Kenzie had dragged each other off sweatdrop ))

Mr. Tollheit's eyes widened a bit and his smile grew broader. "Really?!" he replied. "Do you honestly mean to say that whether or not you spend an eternity here depends on me? Well, now, that might be simple banter, or it may be real insight on your part. I hope it's the latter. In any event, you're absolutely right."
He set the briefcase down and rubbed his hands together gleefully as he spoke.

As Lexi searched through the rooms, she would find more rooms of the normal variety. The only really strange thing is that the house seems to be bigger than it should. Even the strange angles in the corners seem to settle down after a while. Then again, maybe Lexi is just getting used to them now. How could the structure of the house change?

Lexi closed her eyes, rubbing her temples. She was getting confused, and confusion gave her headaches. As she stared at the walls, and the rooms, she hoped she was nearing the end of the hall.

Kenzie smiled as she went over to sit down onto the couch. Alec pearched on the arm rest right next to her and smiled down at her.
"How do you feel?" Alec asked quietly in his sister's ear.
"I'm fine." She said smiling as his breath tickeled her ear. She giggled and touched his cheek. Alec mearly chuckled in response.
