It was cold and wet? "I noticed." Liz said dryly as she sat on the couch. "I'm starting to hate it myself Kara, I'm staring....to..." She grabbed a tissue hastilly and sneezed into it. "Ow...." She said before blowing her nose. "I'm getting better." She assured Kara and laughed as Kara struggled to recall the age old cold remedy. "And I just had some chicken soup." She said. "If I have any more chicken soup I'm going to sprout feathers and start clucking..." She joked. "Or turn orange from the orange juice I drink...and I'm all ready green...." She said in mock tragety and a moment later was burrowed under the blanket she had set up for herself.

"Snow mobiles would be good," agreed Victoria at Rouge's suggestion. "Shall we go snag a couple of those before someone else does?"

Sighing, Blade stood and bruhed off the snow on her.
"Guess I should go back to the mansion." She muttered to herself before noticing the air around her. Gas has started to form. "s**t!" She hissed as she quickly looked around to make sure no one was there. Noticing there were noises of children coming her way, Blade took off, deeper into the park and hid in the trees. Still, the gas forming around her did not stop its creation.

"Ya don't sound like your getting better." She said blinking and tilting her head curiously at the only other animal like person she knew. "Well lets hope you don't turn orange..wouldn't really look good on you. It would be like trying to turn me pink with yellow polka dots...or something like that I don't know." Her ears perked and she suddenly leapt off the couch and went rummaging through the pockets of her trench that lay on the ground next to the couch. "You gotta see what I swiped from wal-mart!"
The cat-girl flopped down on the couch and dropped a bunch of things inbetween her and Liz. Dvd's including Transformers, 8 Crazy Nights and numerous others. Video games for her 360 and various music cds ranging from heavy metal to classic rock. "See anything you like or might want?"

"I know. I happen to like green...I'm used to it. now." Lizz said as she looked out from her cocoon of blankets and eyed the stuff that Kara had swiped. "I am...you should have seen me two days ago." She said sitting up and crossing her legs. "I couldn't get out of bed." She said and watched her poke through the stolen goods. "Wow Kara...ooohhh....that's a new CD I've been looking for." She said plucking out a rock CD.

Shandra watched the girl started off. She'd already said her part but she still didn't know the girl's name. So before she lost the nerve she called out.
"By the way, What's your name?"

She beamed happily at her friend. "Yeah usually these things I sell at school, 'cept for the ones I like of course. I go to wal-mart twice a week to replenish my supplies...luckily schools out so I'll have alot to go back with. If you want you can have first dibs before I sell the crap."

"You know Kara." Liz said tapping the edge of the CD case against her cheek. "You'd better be more careful I hear those Wal-Mart security guards are tough." She said joking around. "I wonder how long it's going to take them to figure out that you've been swiping things left and right?" She said before sniffing. "You're awesome. I need to go do some constructive B&E (Breaking and entering) I'm starting to get rusty in the sneaking department." She said.

((An awkward post from me since Plynx hasn't been able to post lately.))
"Okay, Sara, Rouge, let's go," blurted Victoria, the impatient side of her personality becoming apparent. "It's either now or never."
Wiping the excess snow of her jacket, she glanced at her two teammates, assuming they would follow, before tramping up the steps to the X-Mansion. They were a bit slippery, so she held onto the railing as she went up and made it to the inside foyer without any consequences. Reveling in the warmth of this large, empty space, she kept her coat on for the time being while she waited for Sara and Rouge to join her. There were voices coming from nearby, the kitchen, it seemed and the curious teen just had to investigate.
"Whoa! Hey there," she sputtered, nearly running full-speed into what she could only assume was a new recruit as she shuffled through the doorway. "Sorry 'bout that." Peaking past the girl she had just collied with, Victoria noted that there was at least one other new face in the kitchen beyond. "Hello, unfamiliar faces," she added with a unusually cheery wave.

Kara stuck her tongue out at Liz. "Bah, they aint got s**t on me. I mean last week I managed to walk out with that x-box 360 and halo 3 game I got in my room." She said with a grin of pure mischief. "Not to mention the whole english Naruto series so far. To bad I can get my paws on the whole japanese series they have out so far..that'd be wicked. But you can't really steal over the net." She paused then smirked, "Unless I got someones credit card."

((Sorry for the delay in posting; partly to blame is my connection being held hostage by dial-up. XP))
After amusing himself for perhaps half an hour throwing snowballs at the side of the church building and at various passing cars, Owen's playful smile vanished and the playful gleam left his eyes. He let a half-packed snowball sift through his numbed fingers and he stared off into space, thinking. His thoughts drifted back into the chapel to where scores of little bodies resided, some he knew already losing signs of life. How many more, he wondered, would be gone by the time spring came around? His happy mood now gone completely, he thrust his hands deep into the pockets of his coat to warm them up, and decided to take a long walk, to warm himself up and because he honestly couldn't think of anything better to do with himself.
He kept his head down as usual, and didn't really care where he was going, just so long as he kept moving. He absently kicked up snow as he walked, watching it drift down to the ground and settle in a barely perceptible dusting. Unaware that his path will eventually take him past the X-men's mansion, he continued on, his mind full of dark and dreary thoughts.

"It sounds interesting," Becca said when the girl voiced that she did not know her name. Her face flushed with embarrassment.
"Oh, sorry," she said. "My name's Becca. What's yours-"
Hearing the sound of people approaching, Becca turned to find herself, quite literally, face to face with another member of the house. She stumbled back, throwing up her hands in front of her chest, perhaps to ward off the girl or to catch her balance before she wound up ungracefully on the floor. Her face flushed red again.
"Hello," Becca said softly, seemingly shy. "I'm Becca."

Shandra tilted her head as she looked to the girl, "Call me Eclipse."
She really didn't feel like giving her 'real' name because she didn't want to explain why she wanted to be called another name. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately and she wasn't sure if it was just all in her head or if it was actually what was happening.
Besides who was someone to say that she didn't have the right to be called another name than the one she was raised with? Shandra smiled a little sadly to herself as she tried to toss away her more aggressive thoughts.

Sara nodded and hurried after Victoria. "Okay...comming!" She called as she carefully made her way up the slick stairs. She pulled her hat off her head sending her hair all over. Tucking that under her arm she pulled off her gloves and raked her hair back into some semblence of order. She looked up in time to see Victoria almost run over someone. "Hey slow down there silly." Sara laughed as she stomped the snow off her boots "Howdy." Sara said to the two other girls with a wave.

Liz arched an eye at Kara's bragging. "Kara do you pay for anything?" She asked. She was only joking around of course evident because she grinned after she had asked her that. "Not that getting a hundred percent discount is a bad thing."
