Shaon took it but pulled away from him shortly after she gained her balance. she didn't want the two near her, not when they were shooting daggers at each other with every glance.

Athramir turned and walked towards the Dwemer ruin, not too far away now.

Shaon was glad for Athramir's willingness to let it go and hoped Le would do the same. she trusted him more than Athramir, so she bet he would and followed silently.

The group got to the bottom of the hill and Athramir looked out over the lava.
There seemed to be large stepping stones to the ruin, he guessed that the Temple put these in, it's not very common to find a Temple member being very acrobatic.
Athramir started across the stones, it never occured to him that there maybe a trap on these stones.
Lucky, he got off the last one without a single one dropping.
He pulled an old dwemer crank and the entrance to the ruin opened up.
"Destiny awaits..." He said quietly to himself, entering before the door shut again. He could only assume the others were still with him.

Shaon proceeded carefully over the lava, careful not to loose her footing.. the last thing she needed was to be boiled to ashes. THAT definately wouldn't improve her chances of becoming a better speaker.

"Hurry up you guys, the door will shut any second and you'll have to pull the crank to open it again." As he finished, the sphere-shaped shell started to cover the door again.
"Just pull the crank!" Athramir yelled back.
He proceeded inside the door, cutting down a corprus beast, taking care not to touch it.
He didn't need the others with him to assassinate the Head of the Temple, but he didn't want to risk an encounter with Dagoth Ur by himself, it would be suicide.

Shaon dove under the door, being small enough to barely make it. "Hurry up Leo, no need to trail behind. I know you're faster than that!" she turned and stayed out of Athramir's way.

Leo jumped across the lava, landed on a stepping stone, and jumped across the rest of the way, before sliding under the now closing door.
Leo saw the dead Corpus beast. He cursed silently to himself. At least they had reached where they needed to be.

Shaon shifted behind Leo, letting him ahndle it. she coudl onyl do hand to hand combat.

Athramir felt as though there was a bubble around him, stopping the others coming with 2 feet of him.
Good, they wouldn't get in the way...
Athramir continued down the corridor, it seemed to be heading right down into the volcano and he felt the heat rising.
Whilst heading through the corridors, they came across no other corprus beasts. Which made sense, the Temple would've cleansed the place.
They continued heading down for quite a while until they came to the door which unmistakebly lead to the heart.
"Let's go..." Athramir said, walking in.

Shaon follwed swiftly, trying to make up for her less than graceful movements as she came close to Athramir, glancing back to Leo.

What Athramir saw didn't surprise him.
Their target kneeling in front of the heart with the tools next to her.
Down in the bottom of the cavern, there was lava, as he'd expected.
The target hadn't notice them yet.
"Leo..." Athramir said quietly, but not moving into a sneaking position, she wouldn't notice them, she was too awe-struck. "I think you should take her out with and arrow from here, it would be the most simple method."

Leo nodded. He moved a bit closer, but into the shadows. He took aim and hit the unarmored woman in the back, what appeared to be close to the spine. He ran forward as quietly as he could so that he could break her neck, but he didn't know if there would be others in the temple, so he signaled for the others to follow and cover him.

Athramir just walked forward, looking around the area.
There seemed to be no Dagoth Ur, thank Sithis for that.
And there also seemed to be no one else in the cavern, their target obviously wanted to be alone to experiment.
((Here comes the fun!!!))
Athramir ran over things in his head one last time.
Everything was set.
He strode up to the target to check she was dead, she was.
"No need, Leo... Sithis has her now..."
He turned back to the others, a dark look on his face.
"I thank you all for helping me... but my destiny awaits... fare well..."
He raised his hand and cast an Almsivi Intervention spell on Shaon and Leo. In a flash, they were gone.
Athramir was alone in the cavern and Shaon and Leo were back in Ald'ruhn, the closest Temple.
All was perfect.
He came up to the heart and went to touch it.
"Not so fast..." a deep voice came from behind him.
Athramir turned around slowly to see none other than Dagoth Ur, right in his face.
"That heart is mine..." Dagoth Ur said slowly, pointing to the heart.
"Not if I can help it..." Athramir said. He hadn't some this far just to be stopped now.
