Lura was so overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events, that even if she wasn't sick before...she was now. The nausia came over her and caused her to shake. She was suddenly freezing, her pulse quickened, her vision dulled. She went weak in Agaio's arms, unable to fight him as he held her protectivly against him. The nausia caused her to break into a cold sweat. She was weak and tired...she just wanted to sleep.
The music was beautiful, made most of the pain go away, she looked up at Agaio confused as he turned her to face him. His mouth was moving...but she didn't hear anything. She was suddenly afraid. What if this was another trick? "Noo..." she moaned weakly. "Let go...please..." but he probably didn't hear, for he took her chin and looked down at her, studying her as if trying to care for her. This Agaio looked true, but she couldn't risk it. His mouth continued moving, Rani's did too, they must be talking to each other she thought. Then against her small, soft, weak attempts to push away Agaio drew her down to the ground with him taking a cloth to her face to wipe away the sweat.
It was then she gave up fighting, she saw his leg, the brace was there. She sighed, letting her eyes close. What happened to her, she had been fine only minutes ago, and now the whole world spun around her, no sound but the soft lull of the pipes echoed in her ears. Agaio looked down to her as if to speak, Lura sighed and meakly shook her head.
"I don't...cant...hear you..."

Both Rani and Agaio fell silent when she admitted she couldn't hear.
"What does that mean?" Agaio demanded of Rani.
"She's been cursed..."
"Well, how do you fix it?" Agiao asked impatiently.
"Umm..." Rani pursed her lips. "If music hasn't helped her...um...sometimes enacting what she saw the visions can connect her back to reality."
"What did she see?"
"You. Shirtless." Rani couldn't help giggling at his expression.
Agaio sighed, studying the nearly unconcious woman in his arms. "It's a good thing I like you so much." He grumbled sarcastically. Using one arm to support her, he unbuttoned his shirt with the other, pushing the straps of his bag out of the way. She still hadn't opened her eyes, so he jostled her into sitting up herself, took both of her hands, placed her palms firmly against the hard muscles of his chest, drew her closer, and kissed her deliberately on the lips. If this didn't work, he didn't know what else to do. She might as well be lost.
Rani gaped at him, a blush flaring across her cheeks. Of course, she saw the sense behind his action...but she couldn't help but wish she was the one who'd been cursed. That thought just made her blush worse. She giggled nervously.

Lura was jostled about a bit, the movment made her sick, she felt so nausious. "stopp..." she mumbled, only to be pulled to a sitting possition, she slowly opened her eyes to see Agaio take her hands and press them against his bare chest. The movment confused and shocked her, her cheaks already flushed and pink were now redder. What was he doing?
Then, he pulled her close and kissed her. She sat there motionless, confused, completely not knowing what to do. She felt his chest beneath her hands, firm, strong, muscled...practicaly perfection. And his lips against hers agai - it brought back the event from the night before -
She 'woke' with a start, quickly pulling herself away, pushing against his chest to break free. She finally broke the kiss and looked at him as if insulted. "Excuse me?!" she cried. If her hands were not so firmly pressed between her and Agiao's chest she would have struck him. "You're lucky my hands are trapped here or I'd slap you! Who gave you the right to kiss me!?" Her voice faultered and cracked. As if her throat didn't want to talk, as if it just wanted her to kiss him back. But no, she wouldn't do that.
He was a rude...
She was to confused...She shouted as if she didn't want the kiss, but her flushed cheeks told other wise. Her thobbing heart pounding so loud she feared they both could hear.
This would have been the second time this happened...only differance between the two times was...
Agiao was fully awake this time.

For a moment it felt helpless, but then she flinched and began squirming in his arms. She pushed herself away from him with such force that her tooth cut his lip. He drew his hands up and wiped the trickle of blood from his lip as she cursed at him. He looked over her shoulder at Rani, who looked alarmed by Lura's heated reaction and embarrassed that she'd just witnessed their kissing.
"Yup, she's fine." He drawled carelessly, calmly gripping her wrists and drawing her hands away from him. She was still blushing. Ha! Point for him.
Leaving her on the ground he stood and buttoned his shirt. "I don't know quite what I did...but it worked." He chuckled, once again wiping more blood from his lips. "You're ungrateful." he said to Lura. "I just saved your life."

Lura was left there on the ground, she noticed Agaio's lip was bleeding, she assumed it was her fault.
"Saved my life? What are you talking about?" she pushed herself off the ground, still flustered from the kiss and wobbly from the dizzyness of the curse. "I was just fine thank you, I just couldn't hear that's all...and i was nausious...Well, before you kissed me." she muttered. "Where did you two go? You left me here all alone," She was no longer angry, more upset and slightly left behind. Why was she so confused? Rani looked utterly embarassed, Lura didn't want to make it worse.
She shook it off and looked at Agaio who buttoned his shirt. She walked past him, the thought of the two kisses racing through her head. She turned and whispered to him, "I hope you don't make a habit of this, twice was enough,"

"Twice?" Agaio muttered, pressing the back of his hand against his lip to stop the bleeding. In no way did that kiss count as two. Hopeless romantic much?
Rani was left to explain. "We didn't go anywhere. It was an illusion, cast by Spectres. We were all attacked. I was close enough to Agaio that the music from my pipes scared the spectres attacking him, but your attacker was strong. It managed to curse you before I had a chance to scare it off. That curse could have killed you...or worse. Spectres have a talent of putting their victims into unbroken sleep. We were afraid that that was happening to you, when you started drifting off. And since the last thing you saw the spectre impersonate was Agaio, we kind of figured that maybe Agaio could jerk you out of it...maybe kissing you was a bit much, but-"
"But it worked. So you can quit glaring at me like that. It's not like I enjoyed kissing you, anyway. You're violent." Agaio pressed his lip with his thumb to indicate the damage she had inflicted.

"Yes twice...just now and earlier-" she paused. Did he not remember? Even better...Did she want him to remember? She didn't want to even think of it any more, it was to confusing, he was a brute.
Lura's jaw dropped. "Violent? Like you're one to talk," her innocent attitude was slowly dissipating, was it evening already? It couldn't be, it was just morning, how long were they trapped in that illusion? She took a step closer and placed her hands on her hips, "You're the one who struck me! What man would hit a woman? Rani remember the man I had mentioned? Did I mention this was him?" she scoffed "Violent Me? I was the one who turned and walked I way, I haven't hurt a flee."
She was rignt, he was a brute. A BIG. HUGE. ANNOYING. VIOLENT. RUDE. BRUTE!
"Why did I save your life then? Should Rani and I have left you there."

"Well, now I've saved your life. So we're even, and you can stop whining about it, you ungrateful wretch." Agaio, unfortunately, was all too willing to keep arguing. "Oh, please. You're so full of yourself, it's amazing your head hasn't literally swollen."
Rani was trapped. She hated arguing, and she hated being stuck in the middle of one.
Agaio rolled his eyes. "Maybe you should have. Then I could have died before I had the chance to be tainted by kissing you." He whirled around to march off...but didn't recall that he was handicapped. "OUCH!" He cried when he put pressure on his damaged foot. Rani was standing near enough to help, but she didn't move, so he fell rather ungracefully to the ground. Only then did she move toward him to help him back to his feet.
"You guys argue like old women." She muttered in obvious disgust. Agaio, humbled by his show of weakness, said nothing.

Lura huffed and turned away from him and crossed her arms. She felt terrible for yelling at him, when she heard him fall she quickly turned and went to aid him, only to faulter and watch helplessly. She wasn't going to just help him...but by thte time that she made up her mind to catch him, he was already down.
Lura sighed at Rani's comment. She didn't know what to do, she finally gave up and knelt by Agaio's leg and checked the wound. "Its a little enflamed, we shouldn't have moved so quickly," she said softly, her voice sounded as if belonging to someone else. "If we're not in danger here," Lura said to Rani, "Then we should move a little farther and set up camp where we're safely hidded, if not we'll have to turn back."
The feeling she had had before that terrefied her seemed so important, but strangely not as important as Agiao's health. Lura let her head fall and closed her eyes. "I wish it was dusk, then i could easily heal this..."

Agaio raised an eyebrow at Lura. "Or maybe running to help you when you were attacked by a certain spectre did something to stunt its healing." He suggested with a sarcastic, bitter tone.
"We're not safe here." Rani responded. "Those spectres aren't the only things hanging around here."
"I'M FINE." Agaio growled, finally waving his arms to push the hovering girls away from him. "I'm fine. Can you hand me my crutch? We need to get moving."
Rani hurried a ways away to grab his crutch, where he had dropped it when he had been attacked. He was in such pain now because he had sprinted several yards to help Rani fend the spectre off of Lura.

((after reading a few posts back, i found...We are in Winter...O_o. So I'll write accordingly and get us to another season. Fall next.))
Lura ignored his complaints and sarcastic remarks, only to look up at him as he waved her away. She didn't complain, she didn't know why she was still listening to him, still caring for him. Why did she have to be so...nice?
"Well then lets move, Agaio don't hurt yourself," he wouldn't tell them, but Lura could see in his eyes that he was in pain. She couldn't look him in the eyes, she didn't want to see that pain any more. And he had to be so arrogent...
No, he just wanted to keep his pride. It must hurt to have to depend on a woman, and a child. His ego must be hurt as much as his leg. Lura prayed for dusk to come faster so she could secretly heal him and put him out of this misery. The wind grew warmer as they left the town, she looked ahead of them and saw the trees started to grow leaves, and the area was full of warm colors. "I think Fall is that way." Strange how close the seasons were to each other, how they just seemed to go around in circles. "Lets go, before that...doll or that thing comes back."

They set off as the sun set, making their way in the indicated direction. Rani walked ahead after a while, tired of hovering around Agaio and being victim to his endless grouchy complaining. He refused help of any sort, exerting all of his effort into making the journey seem effortless to him. He kept his jaw set and his gaze concentrated on the horizon ahead of them.

Lura sighed, it was so silent. She felt so distant from these two.
She went to go help Agaio, but each time she even hinted, he refused. How could she get him to healif he refused her help? He's just a stubborn man, she kept reminding herself, It has nothing to do with you personally.
But she couldn't help but feel every time he refused her help, rejected her, she felt worse and worse. Like he was disgusted with her.
Finally they were in Fall, and there was a small cabin that resided there. Some how it seemed all to familiar to her. Lura lead them in, the small entrance caused her to bend over, something that probably wasn't going to be easy on Agaio. But surprisingly, unlike the rest of the doorways and the entrance - the chairs, beds, and tables were all normal sized.
"What is this place?"

Agaio didn't even try to get in through the small doorway. He stood outside, wearing his usual scowl. "Is it breaking and entering a habit of yours?" He asked Lura, leaning heavily on a crutch, trying to hide his exhaustion.

Lura didn't even turn to look at him, every word he uttered for some strange reason wounded her. "It's not breaking and entering if the door is unlocked, wide open, and no one's lived here for years." she stated as she looked at the cobwebs that resided in the corners of each room. The furnature was dusty and old, it was evident that this place was abandoned. But Agaio wouldn't know, he didn't even enter the place.
She wanted so much to remind him that the last place that they stayed was a hunting cabin, with a sign saying 'Open'. It wasn't breaking and entering if the housh welcomes you in. But of course he wouldn't know that, she'd carried him in and cared for him the whole while. Of course Rani helped, but still, he didn't have to be so cold all of a sudden.
The sun disappeared over the horizon, and slowly Lura began to transform. Softer and more gracefull then she had before, her cloths shifted, her hair darkened, her skin palened.. In momments she was completely changed and turned to Agaio, stood before him with crossed arms and stared.
"Arn't you going to get out of that chill?" she stated as she leaned forward and placed her hand on his arm to lead him in, and just as she planned healed his wound a little more so he wasn't in as much pain, he'd realize the differance, and if he'd stay still she could fully heal him. But that was only if he would let her touch him. "Feeling better?"
