((yeah...we have to just wait until the next day in the tribe..then they can be grown up. Conny looks awesome btw! And..yay we need another hunter!))
Orion had been contemplating how to respond to Nero's question when Conundrum had run out into the forest. Orion watched after him curiously until he finally reappeared. Orion smiled at Conundrum's majestic beauty. He looked like a real leader now. "Congratulations, Conundrum."
Kisa swallowed another bite of deer and wiped her mouth on her paw before cautiously approaching the elder. She gently placed her paw over his much bigger paw. She had never seen an elder before...and she doubted any other fox in the world could look as beautiful as he did.
At Kiati's reminder, Orion looked back to Nero and sighed. "No, I haven't had any kits," he said clearly and calmly. "But...almost..." he said softly as he fought to hold back the tears. He knew he shouldn't bring any of it up. If he did, he knew his sister would ask questions until she knew everything. Orion didn't feel he was ready to tell the whole tribe yet, especially not with the new kits around. But maybe...if he could talk to Nero alone.

Not impatiant about a response, Nero turned to Orion once all were in awe over Conundrum's new form. He vaugely wondered if it had hurt, becoming taller like that...
As Orion spoke Nero was pulled from his reverie, a slightly confused expression. Almost? "If you don't want to discuss it, I understand." He spoke gently, and even nudged Orion's shoulder with his own. He knew nothing of kits or of losing them... But he could understand the heartbreak in it.

Conundrum laughed at the array of responses, then decided to answer Kiati's questions first.
"It feels....big." Conundrum answered, swishing his tail behind him.
He looked down at little Kisa, and smiled gently, tears almost coming to his eyes at the innocence of the young kit.
In one motion, he scooped her up and put her on the top of his head, in between his ears.
"Now you can see it the way I do," He told her, smiling lightly.
He caught Orion's eye, then Nero's and nodded slightly. It was alright if Orion wasn't ready to talk about whatever had happened.
He turned to Rave (slowly, so that Kisa wouldn't fall off) and said, "You're pretty 'wow' yourself, missy,"

Kisa laughed cheerfully as Conundrum picked her up. "Wow...so high!" She looked around at the others below her. "Look, Hiro! I'm tall now...I can see everything," she giggled as she smiled down at her friend. Normally, she wasn't this comfortable with anyone except Hiro, but something about Conundrum made her feel...different. She was very glad that they had stumbled upon this tribe.
Orion was glad to know that he had friends who really cared about him here. He nodded toward Nero and Conundrum,but said nothing. He hoped he wasn't worrying them with the way he was acting. Orion decided that he would have to tell everyone about his love soon...and ask Conundrum's permission. But he would wait until he could bring her to meet everyone. Seeing that the kits had had their fill, Orion made his way to the deer and took a bite, hoping Nero and the others would follow after him.

Nero couldn't help the bright smile that crossed his maw at seeing Conundrum with little Kisa. He would make a great father one day. She and Hiro would be welcome distractions from the somewhat harsh reality of knowing that there was still much to do for the tribe; Cleaning the caves had been interupted, and territories had to be scouted to make sure that there were no rouge foxes who would harm the tribe.
Following after Orion, Nero found that he was indeed hungry. With the little ones fed, he would gladly take his fill of the deer that Orion had thankfully caught. Maybe little Hiro would become a Hunter... It would be good for the tribe to have more than one.

Kiati too went to eat some of the deer. She was glad to see the kits fitting in well. But one thing bothered her; her brother had seemed upset for a moment. She tried to shrug it off, but still it ate at the back of her mind.
After finishing her meal, Kiati sighed and lay down to relax in the warm sun. The leaves on the trees were already changing colors. Kiati had not yet been up into the snow of the mountains, but she didn't think she would like the cold very much. She remembered her experience in the snow from when she was a kit. It had stung her paws and she had to ride on Orion's back for most of the time. Kiati hoped it wouldn't get that cold here during the winter.
"How cold will it get round here?" she asked anyone who would answer.

Hiro chuckled at Kisa, "Yeah, you sure are." He smiled and gazed up at her and Conundrum. "I'm gonna be tall someday!" He stood up as tall as he could and stretched. "Well...not that tall..." He chuckled again. He couldn't wait to be big and strong. He could already feel that he was starting to grow, his senses were becoming stronger, and he could run pretty fast too. 'Maybe I can be a hunter like Orion...' He thought to himself as he looked at Orion. Some of the others seemed to be a little worried about him, but Hiro didn't know why. 'Almost? What does that mean?' He decided it wasn't his business to worry about, so he shrugged the thought off and turned his attention back to Kisa and Conundrum. He pawed at Conundrums huge tail and smiled up at Kisa. He was glad that she was having fun. The two of them hadn't been around many adults before, they had always been on their own. Something about being with them now made him feel more at ease, and apparently Kisa felt the same way.

Hm. Nero paused in his meal for a moment, giving a lick to his paw before cleaning a bit of blood from his jawline. "I have wandered around her ebefore, Kiata, but never in the winter. The way the Caves face however, and the mountains..." He paused, to gather up all of his thoughts.
"The winters should not be too hard. We are sheltered in a basin, with the lake as well, it shouldn't completely freeze over."

Orion nodded in agreement with Nero. "Which reminds me, we need to be sure to ready the caves in case of a bad winter. We started yesterday, but had to stop for the time being." Orion wondered if it would be safe for the kits to go exploring in the caves with them. If need be, Rave and Kiati could always stay behind to look after them.
Kisa nuzzled gently against the top of Conundrum's head. "Yep, you'll be tall someday Hiro. I'll be bigger someday too, right?" she asked as she moved her head down in front of Conundrum's eyes to look at him.

Conundrum laughed as he felt the kit's paws on his tail, and he flicked it lightly away from Hiro, inviting him to chase after it.
"Yes, you'll both be very tall one day. As tall as Orion and Kiati and Nero and Rave," He said, looking up at Kisa, smiling. Conundrum turned back to Orion at the mention of the caves, and nodded. "We do need to get back to work....But as for the kits..." He paused for a moment, then lowered his head to the ground so Kisa could get off. "Which would you guys rather do, help us clean out the caves and explore them, or stay here with Rave and Kiati? Get to know them a little better," He asked the two, watching them carefully for their answer.

Kisa carefully jumped off Conundrum's head and turned around to look back at him. She thought hard about her choices before speaking. "C..can we do both?" she asked with a little smile.

Hiro jumped up to try and catch Conundrum's tail as it pulled away from him. He caught it in his teeth and tugged on it playfully before letting go and trotting over to Kisa. Hiro wanted to go with the adults and explore the caves, but he wanted to stay with Kisa and do whatever she wanted to do. The mention of doing both seemed interesting so he nodded his head in agreement with Kisa and waited to see the others' response.

Rave gave an embarrassed mumble at at Conny's comment, staring at her paws for a moment. "If they wanted to go with you two, we could come with and help," she muttered, a bright red as she watched the kits play with Conundrum. She smiled at seeing how good he was with the kits. "And perhaps we could gather food to store in the cave after it's cleaned."

Lirance smiled as he approached the cave mouth, seeing the tribe gathered there as well as a few new foxes and two kits. Conundrum was the next thing to catch his eye as he surveyed the area. He was an Elder and a magnificent one at that! Lirance realized that he'd been gone much to long. He had left initally to survey the tribe lands, which had taken a while and he ended up getting caught in his wandering. At least he could say he knew the territory better than any other member of the tribe now. Though, since Conundrum was an offical elder that would mean that Lirance himself was an offical scout, he wondered inately what that meant.
"Hello," He said cheerfully as he came within hearing distance of the tribe. He turned to address Conundrum. "Sorry I've been gone," He admitted, kind of embarrased that he left unannounced. "I was surveying the tribe-lands." He said to the regal looking elder.

Conundrum raised his eyebrow at the male, then smiled. "It's alright, Lirance. Come, eat with us," He said, nodding at the deer.
