"that is true" Christina said as the sword's picture came to her mind. she could see the hilt as green as an emerald and the blade itself, shining like the sun. she would really like to have that sword.

Randolph nodded, wind blowing through his hair and watching the sun.
-"Weapons it is then. I'd say we got about a few hours left of daylight. We should start thinking about setting up camp... I'll take an inventory of what we've got left and if we need anything we'll pick it up first. If we have enough, you can get your sword."
Randolph was practically weeping on the inside, glad she had finally gotten over her obsession of having jewelry.

Christina nodded "deal" she said as she put her bow and quiver of arrows on the floor beside her.

Randolph kept driving, and rather quickly the sun began to set. Randolph looked West, where he saw the cause of all this strife. Over the horizon, a green disk was barely visible, three times larger than the moon. Randolph kept driving until he saw a small cave. He immediately turned and stopped right in front of the mouth of the cave.
-"Cover me..."
Randolph pulled out his rifle, checked the clip to see he still had 23 shots left, and exited the buggy. He slowly crept to the mouth of the cave, gun at the ready.

Christina took her bow and arrows and followed Randolph. she had an arrow read for a shot if need be

Randolph quietly crept through the wide cavern until content that it was abandoned. Randolph marched towards the mouth of the cave and hopped into the buggy. He carefully drove it into the cave and parked it to the side. Randolph stepped out of the buggy and looked to Christina.
-"Can you get a fire going?"
Randolph then absorbed himself into checking the trunk for various objects: food, spare clothes, clean water, extra rounds of ammunition, all of their collected Shiner gems, and other various things.

Christina nodded and picked up a couple of rocks. she then went off to find some wood around the cave. she came back a few moments later and set the bit of wood she did find on the ground. she the two rocks and struck them together a few times till flames lept from the wood.

Randolph finished his inventory check and began checking on the buggy itself. He finished quickly, the buggy was still in good shape. Randolph went back to the trunk and began picking through the items, made difficult by the enormous Shiner gem. Eventually Randolph reemerged with two metal spikes, several strips of meat, a bag of vegetables, and two flasks of water. Randolph handed Christina a spike and set the bag of vegetables in between them. Randolph then began spearing the pieces of meat and various vegetables until he had a rather full kebab. Randolph then stuck his kebab into the fire, and his stomach began to roar as he smelled the meat cooking.

Christina did as Randolph did and she put her own over the fire. she could smell the food cooking and it nearly drove her mad not being able to eat it right away

Randolph sat for a moment, silent, then quickly pulled out his kebab. He had done this many times. Randolph sat for a moment, blowing on his food to cool it then slowly eating it, savoring the flavor.

Christina pulled her own out of the fire and ate it as well. it tasted pretty good

(( You were left behind. sweatdrop Everyone's headed for New Las Vegas. Currently Randolph and Christina are holed up in a cave for the night eating dinner, and Zeal and Sora are still driving. ))
