Namine waited for her order. The scent from the shop drifted to her making her stomach grumble oddly. She noticed the guy from earlier speaking with Melissa. She wondered if Melissa had apologized to him for her. She noticed that the guy instead of Melissa was heading over to her table. The cappucino and tiramisu seemed most inviting.. making her mouth water. She expected that he would set the tray down and move along but to her surprise he apologized for his behavior. Namine smiled at him. "No I must apologize as well. It was my fault and I should have known better. By the way im glad I ordered Melissa's suggestions they look delicious." She wondered who made the confections and drinks that emitted such a welcoming smell.

The boy's eyes immediately lit at her praise of the food. "I guess that settles it, then. And thank you!" With a warm smile, he held out his hand "I'm Leo, the cook. I hope you enjoy the food!" He chuckled merrily "It's my job at stake...If a girl such as you doesn't like my cooking, I'd better quit!" The brunette winked at the girl, his good mood back.

Nate looked around, his gaze switching to Mel, seeing her waving at him he blushed slightly. He got up from the table and went over to the counter and smiled politely. "I know you wouldn't have expected me to come, I'm not all that trustworthy." He said with a slight sigh. He stood nervously, his hands in his pockets.

Namine was happy that he was in a better mood. She hadn't meant to upset him or anyone else in this charming cafe. With a laugh Namine took his hand "Well Leo my name is Namine and I must say your cooking talent must be amazing. From what I've seen so far the patrons here love food available." She took a bit of the tiramisu and her eyes opened wide. "Oh wow it tastes even better than it looks and smells! Leo I bet the girls fawn all over you especially after tasting your cooking." Namine looked up at him quite content with what she ordered and enjoying the added bonus of his company.

Leo laughed happily at Namine "Not to mention my obvious charm and handsomeness." He stated in a mocking proud tone. "I actually haven't seen much of that yet. I think the 'being at bed by 8 and up again by 4' takes away some of the charm..." His voice didn't have a single tinge of resentment; he was single and happy with it, and glad to chat and flirt a little with a possible new regular customer.
Mel lowered her eyes for a couple of seconds at his words. She didn't know what to say, what to do. The breakfast hour was ending and the movement was slow, there was no excuse to buy her some time.
"Well, I'm glad you did come." She finally said, facing him. It wasn't going to be easy, to become his friend, but she couldn't help but to think he might have chance, and he deserved at least a chance to justify himself. Mel wasn't one to keep grudges and hate for things long past.

"I thought I should come..it's better than taking the easy way out and abandoning you again.." He said with a sigh as he looked away, he felt stupid now, that was not a great conversation starter and he was regretting saying it. At least it would show he cared.

Namine leaned forward placing her chin in her hand and crossed her legs, one over the other. "Well I see now that you do have charm and good looks. But good looks aren't everything you know. I think your personality and cooking ability are attractive. Your good looks just make the overall package more enticing." Namine was used to being blunt and honest about things. She didn't believe in mincing words. She thought he was interesting and as such praised him..she only hoped that her forward persona was not too much for him. "I may have more than one reason to come here now." Namine tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled widely allowing her dimples to show.

The girl sighed. This was going to be a difficult talk. She wasn't used to seeing Nate like this. He was usually so cocky and carefree...or at least that was how she remembered him. She missed that boy, arrogance and all.
"Thank you. Why don't we have a seat and have a drink? Can I offer you anything?" She waved with her hand, showing the full counter. If there was something she had learned from Leo, was that even the hardest of talks were best held over some sugar.

"A coffee please." He said softly, looking up at her with a slight smile at the irony of this. He was so used to getting drinks for others and now, Mel was getting him one. The irony of it couldn't do anything but amuse him a little.

The boy chuckled merrily at her bluntness. He wasn't one to be shy, and he appreciated talking to someone so open. "Sure, good looks aren't everything...the foreign accent plays its role, also." winking at Namine, he beamed "I thank you for the compliment. It's not everyday one hears a fashion model commenting on the shallowness of good looks. I daresay you outsmart your job, lady. And I do hope you return, dog and all!"

"Sure! Give me one second." Going to the espresso machine, she took a coffee for him and a cappuccino for herself. With a small hand gesture, she motioned Leo she was taking a break. He was happily chatting with Namine, and the girl couldn't help but to shake her head, amused. He sure knew his way around pretty girls.
Taking both beverages on a tray to the nearest table, she sat down and waited for Nate to follow.

Nate followed her without hesitation and sat down at the table. He began losing himself in his thoughts but shook his head a little to stop it. He wanted to chat to Mel, for so long he wanted to chat to Mel. He waited for her to take a seat so they could begin conversing.

Namine was surprised she had been discovered already. "Ah Leo you found me out. Here I thought I was incospicous to everyone. Yes I am a model but that is only half of what I am..a means to an end." Smiling at the handsomely charming accented Leo she said "Well I'll be sure to return. Your hostess is quite charming as well and she may not remember from last night. We were at this club called limelight. Unfortunately, my job requires me to make appearances with some important people. But to be honest I much preferred to be home snuggling with Demeter." She looked down at her feet he lay there curious as to what they were discussing. Namine suddenly realized that she was keeping him from his other guests. "Sorry..I didnt mean to keep you from your work." She flushed a bit with embarrassment hoping she hadnt been too much of a bother.

Mel gave the boy his coffee and placed the smoking cappuccino in front of her. Adding sugar to it and stirring it slowly, she looked nicely at Nate and noticed him staring into some distant point of space, wondering about God knows what. When he caught himself and shook his head to refocus, she couldn't help but chuckle. "Old habits die hard, I see." She had laughed at that particular gesture of him too many times to count.

Nate looked at her and returned her pleasant smile. "Some things are hard to let go of.." He said softly, he once again felt he couldn't take his eyes from her but he had to soon. He couldn't look at her forever although he wanted to.
