From the shadows of a stone forest stepped an elf, she was tall and slender, with dark/medium brown hair that hung to her waist. Her face was cold and delicate, but she had never been seen around this place before, she wore a robe woven out of loose furs that had been shed by animals, and she wore no shoes. The young elf walked swiftly around the trees until she came upon a few pixies, she stopped in her tracks, concealed by the shadows and watched.

Renee started to panic even more as she saw Venera enter her room. She hoved shakily, rubbing her arms and whimperina a little. Hopefully that girl with strange hair wouldn't eat Megumi.
The pixie shook her head violently. That was a silly idea. She hesitantly flew over to the door. After a pause, she knocked as hard as she could (which wasn't very hard), and hoped the blonde girl inside hadn't found her friend yet.
"Yes? Who is it?" a voice floated from inside.
"A-a pixie. I forgot to dust your room..." Renee called back sheepishly, knowing it was partly true.

Luna thought for a minute. 'Fly...using a device? Over the ravine?' Ever since Luna was young, she had never cared much for flying. All the other fairies her age loved to fly, but Luna just never really enjoyed it that much. Perhaps it was because of the fact that she grew up in a household of elves who walked everywhere they needed to go, and Luna just walked with them. Flying wore her out anyway...she had small wings. Even if she could fly herself over the ravine, she would never be able to carry Megumi across. She didn't like the idea of flying...even if she wasn't doing the flying, but she decided that it would be better than waiting on the repair of the bridge. "So...how do we get this um...device?"

Just before Vanera could lift the covers all the way up to peer under the bed, she was startled by a knock at the door. She jumped a little, then sighed. Whoever was at the door must have been who she heard breathing earlier. She asked who was there, and she got a reply from a pixie, wanting to dust her room. 'Dust my room? It's not that dusty...hmm...I wonder if...' She looked back at her Jewelry box, 'No...that's nonsense, even if the residents don't like me very much, they wouldn't take my belongings would they?' She shook the thought from her mind. "Um, yes, ok." She opened the door and saw Renne and motioned for her to enter.
Megumi sighed a sigh of relief, a quiet one. His heart slowed down a bit and he began to relax. He recognized Renee's voice and he felt better. He wondered if he should come out or not. Then he heard voices, the same voices he had heard earlier by the stairs. They entered the room and he heard them speak.
The woman spoke first, "Oh...Vanera. You're here. We were just...walking by and we decided to check in on you. How are you dear?"
Megumi peeked his head out and looked at them. The woman was a tall elf, and very, very large. Megumi thought she looked like she was about to pop. The guy with her was scruffy and thin, and very fidgety.
"Thank you. I'm fine, " Vanera replied.
"Yes...well we shall be going now." She gave a fake smile and her and her accompaniment exited.
Vanera turned to Renee, "Um, well I will leave you to dust, I'll just be gone a little while." She turned and also exited, shutting the door behind her.
Megumi looked at Renne. His looked seemed to say, "Is it safe for me to come out?"

"Well... First things first, I have a pixie friend who has worked at the sight, and he should be at the castle right now, tending the gardens. He knows where the site is. But then again, I'm not quite sure he'll um... Want to go back t it. Otherwise, I think the nobles could part with it with a smal donation from my family's coffers." Cirdan had a funny grin on his face, it was obvious he enjoyed spending his family's fortune on Sol Born items to begin with, for his clothing and weapons are Sol designed. Most look at him with disgust, but for the reason of him beign first born to the family line, they can't cut ties with him.
"I can only wonder what he is doing right now, I bet he's in trouble. Again."
"I am so bored!" Mana tossed aside his watering can and wiped the sweat from his brow. "I 've had it with gardening! No one thanks us pixies for doing all the hard work. The caretaker elf gets the credit. The lazy oaf just sits around all day, munch on fruits and berries, cursing at our mistakes!
Several pixes moved away from Mana as he ranted and fumed, as a shadow overfall's him. Snatched right out of mid air, Mana is brought face to face with the caretaker.
"Eh pip squeak, your being loud again! What did I tell you about keeping to your work! And I'll overlook those comments about me for your sake."
"Ah go bite a lily!" Mana freed his hands, and squirmed out of the care takers hand, and swiftly removed his body from the care takers reach. Grabbing a twig off from a nearby tree, Mana points it tenaciously at the care taker. "I have a big friend, and he's a incredible swordsman. You'd be sorry if ya mess with me any longer!"
The caretakers face grows red with rage, "Your insolent flea! I've had it with you. No more pay for you, go find work in the castle! Away with you!"
With a laugh, Mana tosses the stick at the caretakers face, and muses at the elf flinches, "Ha! I hit your big ugly nose! See ya!"
Flitting into the castle, Mana only laughed at the angry curses from behind him, and found himself immediately drawn to the kitchens, after all. He had been slaving away all day, and hasn't yet had a bite to eat.

Renee started at the door a moment before whispering to Megumi, "I think you can come out now."
She looked around the room, taking her fabric belt, and dusting anything that had any visible stuff on it to make it look like she had done her job. When she finished, she turned back to the little elf boy.
"We need to get back to Luna and Cirdan. Let's hurry before anyone come in here again."
She then poked her head out the door, saw the coast was clear, and motioned for him to follow her out.

"Wait, Renne! I found this!" He crawled out from under the bed and opened his hand so she could see the pendant. "I think those two people were looking for it. What do you think it is?"

"Ooooo! Sparkly!" Renee's voice had a creepy tone to it, but she soon reverted back to normal, "No idea. I'm not sure I've ever seen it before. Though it looks kind of familiar..." she shrugged, "My memory's not the best. It's probably just someone's jewelery. And the nobles here have so much stuff that no one would miss one little necklace, right? I'm sure they can afford a new one, if it's really that important. And if they're still looking for it later, I can get it back to them for you, and no one will ever know you had it!"
Renee wasn't really sure why she wanted him to keep it, but somehow it gave her an uncomfortable feeling to just tell him to put it back where he found it. Almost like doing so could only end much worse than if he kept it.

The fear that had gripped Megumi earlier was no completely gone. In fact, it seemed that he had almost forgotten it completely. He looked at the sparkling pendant in his hand and he was again filled with excitement. He looked back up to Renee and smiled, "So, so you think I should keep it!" His eyes sparkled. He shoved the pendant in is pocket for safe keeping. He decided that he would wear it later, when he was out of the Castle. "So, who were those guys anyway?"
"Oh, so where can we find this Pixie friend of yours? You said he works in the Castle? We should look for him...once Renee and..." Luna suddenly remembered Megumi. "Oh no! Megumi and Renee have not come back yet! What do you think happened to them?"

Artemis's hand clutched at her pendant of white jade and sapphire, her eyes looking apprehensively at the other beings. Her eyes glowed an the dim light and she journeyed deeper into a forest with trees made of crystal. Her eyes widened as she looked at the magnificent trees and shrubs, every delicate leaf made of the finest crystal. Where was she in the first place? She had heard other beings, seen their forms though not their faces, she had no idea if they were friend or foe. Reaching up, she lifted her hand as a crystal butterfly fluttered into her fingers, raising and lowering its wings contentedly.

"Hm..." Renee paused thoughtfully, she was better at names than faces, "I think that was the queen's head maid and her husbend. The girl with the wierd hair is Venera. I don't know where she comes from..." the pixie paused, "Didn't the letter to lord Gethin say something about Dunstan and Venera getting married?"
They heard someone else comming down the hall, and she gasped, "Come on! We need to get back to your sister and Cirdan before someone catches us."

Megumi sneaked along behind Renee as they made their way back to the Kitchen. Finally they arrived and burst through the kitchen door. Megumi sighed a sigh of relief. "We made it!" He laughed. Then he noticed the surprised look on Luna's face.
"Where were you guys?! Megumi, why are you out of breath?" Luna questioned. She knew that her brother could only be up to no good.
"We were...uh..." As much as Megumi wanted to blurt everything out about the pendant, Vanera, and the two mysterious elves, something inside him told him that now was not the time. "Um.." He didn't know what to say, so he turned to Renne for backup.

"It doesn't matter where they have been. Its a big castle, and I'm willing to bet Megumi got a little side tracked. Right?" Cirdan wasn't sure why they where running, but down the hall he noticed a familiar face,, and from the looks of it, that face saw him to...
"Cirdan!!!" Mana charged forward full speed, barreling into the kitchen, and stopped a mere breath away from Cirdans unflinching face. " I still can't start you with that, hmm one of these times I'll actaully crash into your face."
"Mana? Shouldn't you be working in the gardens?" Cirdan raised a cruious eyebrow, "Or are you a vagrant again."
"Free as the wind blows boss, and the caretaker needs his boots knocked," Mana face had a funny imitiation of a sneer on it, as he obviously was impersonating someone. " Hey, bread! Oh better, cup cakes!"
Mana dove to the table and tackled his would be meal, and began to munch away.
"Mana! Thats not yours! Oh wonderful... I suppose the chef can bake some more.." Cirdan sighed, though it was obvious he was happy to see the troublesome pixie." Once your done eating other peoples food again Mana, we need to talk... Okay?"
"Yes sir!" Mana popped up for a momentary salute, then returned to dining on his stolen cupcake.

"Yeah...he got side-tracked is all...After all, there's alot of fun stuff to see," Renee tried not to sound sheepish when she spoke, and hoped no one would question. She wasn't sure she recognized the other pixie, but she normally worked indoors, and thus had little contact with the garden pixies. Though personally that job seemed more fun to her. She loved the outdoors.
She perched herself of Megumi's head, wondering why Cirdan would need to talk to the other pixie. She hoped she hadn't missed much.

"Well, since we are all here. Lets get moving onwards. Through the gardens and onwards to Gethins Manor. " Cirdan shook his head at Mana's manners, " Whenever we stop to rest, we can talk Mana. Oh and Renee, I want to talk with you as well. Minus as well have those conversations tonight, okay.?"
"Huh, Cirdan's serious about soemthing miss, better take join us later, But uh.. .Did you say throguh the gardens? Does that mena you will be telling of that guy for me?"
"Depends on him I suppose, and on what happened of course. I know you fly of the handle sometimes Mana." Cirdan's usual appearance seemed to shift somewhat, it was obvious he wanted to be out of the castle.
