After equipping his weapons, Lain heard the familiar voice of Ryn from the hallway. Off of pure instinct he ran toward the door, bow in hand. He pulled three arrows from his quiver, before he slid across the floor on his knees, sliding through the doorway into the hallway he shot the arrows simultaneously, each of them hitting its target with a deadly accuracy.
The sounds of the Saxon troops falling against the walls in a heap made the walls of the small Inn tremble, waking a few weary travelers who ran to their doors to see what all the commotion was about.
Screams filled the air as patrons of the Inn panicked, some heading back into their rooms while others tried desperately to form a plan of escape, running in the opposite direction of the hoard of course. Lain jumped to his feet as soon as his arrows set sail, and charged the oncoming mass of mangled men with a war cry that seemed unworldly.
Bare fist met flesh, and his bow was discarded back into the room while his dagger now occupied his right hand. He fought with no abandon, his moves were calculated and well thought out. They could not allow the people of the Inn to be harmed, after all, they were nothing but innocent bystanders.

Valraven was continuing on his path, taking not a familiar route to Serionia, but one that he had planned out, which many of the assasins knew well, and would catch the scouts off guard. He lead a small army of men, towards Serionia, while he waited at the outskirts for them, knowing that if his men would fail, and he predicted many of them would, he'd be ready.
Val took out the piece of paper, which held his duty, rereading it. It seemed that not all the Knights have united, and their first stop would be the 'elven' city. He rubbed his temple, a bit aggrivated, until he heard a sound that cought his ear. The trees were ruffled, and he wondered, if maybe, just maybe, he stumbled apon the infernal bird he'd have to kill.
"Whatever it takes, I will make sure those idiotic Knights fall to the Saxon Hoard!"

Ryn twirled as Lain joined him in the battle, drawing a small, fist sized, spiked ball on a rope out of his shirt, and twirling it over his head. He laughed, launching it dead ahead of him, smashing one of the mens skulls in, before pulling the now blood covered ball back to him.
"You can't beat us Saxons!", Ryn shouted, throwing the ball again, and putting it through another mans heart. One came up behind him, and he spun, releasing the blade he had held in his left hand, so that it came out on a foot of chain, and slashed the man behind him open from Navel to Neck.
He laughed again, shouting to Lain,"This is what I live for!"
More men came towards him, and he tugged the spiked ball back, and twirled it above his head, shouting,"Who's next?"
The men stood back, none of them wanting to be the first to get near the crazed, laughing Assassin.

Reina was tiring of fighting off the arrows, but they all seemed to stop. She remained silent, waiting patiently until one of the assasins came into view, an older male, about the age of her father came through, holding out a dagger in front of him. Reina pushed Hades further back, she wanted nothing to happen to him, and since she was still so tired, she knew that she could not protect them both to her full capacity.
The man took his blade, throwing it at her, knowing that she would try to catch it, and she did, which is what he planned. Quickly, while she was preoccupied, he rushed forward and took his other blade, slashing over at her, but Reina had moved, just in the nick of time, allowing her to trip the man, sending his blade down to his hand stepped onto his neck.
"Well, aren't you a brave b*****d, taking on a woman like me. Too bad you won't be alive to tell your Saxon friends that you won't be making it back home, and that you failed." Reina held her blade over the man's chest, but before she had, she heard him speak one more word.
"You can tell them yourself. Valraven is comming, he'll surely kill you all! When the Saxons release him, it means- Urk!" He did not finish his sentance before Reina grew tired of his babbling and ended his life. She pulled the blade out, wipping off the blood from her sword and turned her head to the side.
"I better get to the others right away!" She did not bother sheathing her blade, leaping onto Hades and headed back towards the way she came from.

Lain could not help but allow the laughter that was welling up inside him to pierce his lips. He could hear every word Ryn spoke over the torment of grunts and shouts that poured form the enemy.
Lain dove between the legs of a mountain of a man clad in armor, driving his blade deep into his groin and tilting him forward so he fell over in agony. Yes, this was what Lain needed, revenge on those who had betrayed him so unmercifully so many moons ago.
Another man tried to attack Lain, though he was on the floor, he was at no great disadvantage, his blade, twisting it in his palm and fisting it like a heavy club, slashed at the intruders ankle tendons, rendering him utterly useless in the battle.
"Morons, you were under the disillusion that you outnumbered us four to 1, but I am afraid for your sake, we outnumber you..." Lains hair twisted about him in a white and red blur. Splotches of crimson dressed his tresses, the blood of his enemy was thick and heavy, but Lain continued to fight with the grace of a dove, and when the last man in his path fell, he sprinted toward the stairs and called to Ryn to join him.

Ryn knocked aside several more foes with his spiked ball, before sprinting to the stairs, following Lain. He laughed as one last Saxon tried to take him down, and he eviscerated the man with one quick swipe. With a laugh he leapt down the stairs, shouting,"I think I was right!"
With a laugh, he slid down the banister of the stairs, and landed on the main level, eating ground like a panther. Pushing himself to a stand, he looked up, and said,"We have to leave. I don't know how against stealing you are, but at the moment I'm going to have to take any horse that looks strong if we are leaving."

As Reina arrived at the shelter, she hopped off, pushed the doors open and shouted, "You guys there's... Oh, I see you found out already." She cleared her throat, hopping over the corpses, "excuse me, pardon me, sorry about that." Rushing up the stairs, she joined them, diving her blade into the neck of one man and pushing it forward into the throat of the other.Reina pulled back out and winked, "Shall we roast them in the fire now? Or... shall we leave their bodies for all to see, rotting in the soil which they spilled the blood of our people in!" She kicked the bodies out, her rage building with each body she had sliced, each bit of blood that splashed about, until some landed on her lips, splashing on her face.
Reina's moves did now slow, she was killing the men unmercifully, slashing at their limbs, leaving them in the most painfulest of agony, sometimes letting them bleed to death, rather than giving them a quick leave. Her silver eye glinted, the magic held in it sparked for just a second.

Lain was very much so against stealing, and he wasn't going to leave his belongings behind, or leave the remaining town folk to clean up their mess either."We have to kill the bulk of them." He said, just as Reina ran passed them. It seemed most of the group of soldiers had made their way up the stairs, so the great room of the Inn was only littered with immobile bodies, no doubt ones that had stammered down the stares and been moved to make way for the able bodied to fight. He ran back up the stairs after Reina, there were only a few men left upstairs, and Lain was sure Reina and Ryn could hold them off while he gathered as much of their possessions as possible.
"I have all the stuff, lets go!" He whistled with his fingers and it seemed to reverberate off the hallway walls. he hadn't seen Artemis since arriving, but knew he wouldn't be too far away, and to his liking both horses were waiting and ready outside. "Ryn, if you must steal a horse....MAKE IT A GOOD ONE!" He called over his shoulder as he packed up the horses as quickly and securely as he could muster.
"Ran into a little trouble did you Reina? Wanted to come play with the big boys eh?"He teased before mounting Artemis and taking off toward the North. It looked like they would be camping under the stars this night, and that was only if they didn't run into any trouble along the way.
What the hell is going on? I swear, sometimes you are like a child Lain, I won't always be here to hold your hand. "Come on old man, you know you enjoy the thrill of it all." He and Artemis road hard and fast, eager to get into the cover of the woods and away from the blood trail they were all leaving. The body count of the enemy was staking up, but Once the king of the Saxons found that his minions were incompetent, there was no telling what he would send after them next.

Ryn glanced at the various horses tied up outside the Inn, and quickly hopped atop a black one, with a white spot on his neck. With a grin Ryn chopped the rope off, and said,"Lets ride!"
The horse reacted immediately, following after Lain at the same speed. Ryn kept a knife in his left hand, ready in case more foes attacked. Glancing down at the horse below him, he said,"I'll call you Cale."
The horse whinnied, continuing in its gallop, Ryns eyes watching everything around them, ready for anything.

"Father please, I want to go. You can't honestly expect me to sit here and twiddle my thumbs when I could be on the battle front with the men and aiding them as needed." Isilya was pleading with her father to let her go. She was sixteen now, old enough t make up her mind about things with such great weight, and she had been diligent in her studies of magic even after her teacher had passed into the next life.
"Father please...I can't stand to be here, cooped up like some bird in a cage. I want to bathe in the blood of our enemies, rape their lands and cripple their offense just as you did. Are you that ashamed of what I am to not let me go?" She stamped her foot on the ground and sat, back straight in her fathers chair.
"You know, your as stubborn as your mother was when we first met." he sighed heavily, placed his bulky hands on his daughters shoulders and kissed her on the top of the head. "If you wish to be more involved in the battle, I will not protest any further, after all, you are your fathers daughter ,and if I'm not careful I will feel your wrath, I am sure." He kissed her on the top of her head again, her long dark hair cradled her figure like a shawl as she sat there, a smile finally showing her her lips. "Thank you father, I promise you, I will do the Nagoth name proud."
~~~~~
"Valraven, WAIT!" God,why the devil do you have to walk so fast. And you have hardly said a word to me since I was put into your platoon, is there something wrong with me? Why are you being so cold? VALRAVEN?!" She huffed and puffed along beside him on her horse, but he seemed to be paying more attention the the parchment in his hand than his company.
Val was the one male who didn't bow down to Isilya, even when she ordered it. He was hard, and quiet, and always seemed to want nothing to do with her. And Isilya was sure that when he had gotten word that she would be joining him, he was less than thrilled. "I'm hungry, when are we going to stop? Can't we just make camp for now please, it's not as if we won't see a small calvary of Camelots idiots trying to sneak past us, besides, we sent that scouting party ahead, I mean, let them do their jobs or something." She held out her hands, cupping them together and they instantly began to fill with cool ,fresh water. She drank until her hands were dry and then looked over at Val, he had yet to answer any of her questions.
Val's eyes stalked the bird above him, it seemed like the one he needed, but his eyes cought, around his talon he carried a note. Quickly, he grabbed his dagger, twirling it about in his fingertips, waiting for his opportune moment. Finally, as the bird parched itself, ready to take flight, it was knocked against the trunk of the tree, staked through it's skull as it's body fell over onto the ground. Val walked towards the bird, lifting it up and took the note from it's claws.
"Not only did I manage to get rid of a nusance, but I also cought a midnight snack." Taking the hawk with him, Valraven sat at his camp sight, with his new 'assistant', tossing the bird into the fire, along with the note. "Soon, soon we will have blood of the enemy at our feet, and they can take their rightful place, in hell with the others." That was all he had said to her before gazing into the fire, letting the embers dance in his eyes, but still, refused to say a single word to her.
"Oh, just a bit, nothing I couldn't handle myself you know. But I'm sure you were more disappointed, I wasn't in my room where you can watch me every second." She stuck her tongue out and turned back to mount Hades, looking up at the sky and shaking her head. "Why do the gods put us in situations like this, where we miss days of sleep?" Hades took off, riding further North, along with Artemis and Lain, while Reina looked for a place to camp for the night.
While they were a good bit away, and deep into the forest, through the terrain, Reina hopped off Hades and slipped onto the ground, making a loud thud. "Alright, I don't know about you, but if I don't get at least a good two hours of sleep, I'll be as useless as a lame horse." Hades kicked dirt in her direction and gave a low whiny. "Sorry Hades! I didn't mean anything by it!" She laughed, put her things down and put a few dry sticks together, surrounded by rocks, and started a fire for them.
"Ok, whose keeping lookout for the first shift? chose amungst yourselves, I'm going to sleep." Without much after that, Reina made herself comfortable by the fire on a bed of leeves and fresh grass.
"I don't mind." Lain announced as he dismounted from Artemis once more and unpacked the items that burdened his back. The horse was plum tuckered and lay down just a few feet away from the group. Lain took off his armor and placed it under a tree with the rest of his belongings before making a small fire and taking watch like Reina had suggested.
He needed sleep as well, but it wasn't in him to take anything but first watch. How had the Saxons sneak up on them without them even remotely knowing? There had to be magic at work, but by whom Lain could not say. "I'll do three hours, then Ryn and he can wake you up for your watch, that way we all get six hours of sleep and we wont be leaving the woods too late in the day either.
While the others slept, Lain grabbed a couple fist fulls of nuts, some dried bread, dried fruit and meat from his bag and sat on a log some ten feet fifteen feet away from the slumbering pair. He ate and drank until he was content. It had been hours sense his last meal and his body was being used more vigorously as each day progressed into the next.
As soon as he was done eating some dinner, Lain stripped out of his clothing and sat them on the log. The warm air of the night made his skin sticky, and the blood in his hair had began to dry out and become brittle, so now, under the stars, was the best time to take a shower. He focused some of his magical energy into a spot under a tree and instantly a cascade of cool water seemed to pour from one of the branches. He stepped under it, opening his mouth and swallowing mouthfuls of delicious water while he was his hair and body clean of the ware and tare of the fight, which was now at least two hours behind them.
