Varnis had looked up some. "Yes, I am. There are not that many healers around here, and I need protection from the fighters in order to survive." He had said as he looked her over.
"So, What are you? If I may inquire."

“Sorceress Artica, at your service,” the Mage said, using her official title and giving a graceful, extravagant curtsy. "There are few and far between Magi around here, so I haven't gotten offical training for my powers, but I practice on my own, along with my physical weapons."

"Ah, so a mage I see." He had looked at her weapons.
"I could have sworn that you where a fighter by these weapons. There are certain laws that prohibit mages from wielding mele weapons." Varnis took a step back. "If you are, then you and I can not be friends. I do not help rouge mages. Although my study does make me help who ever needs help, no matter what, even if they are a rouge mage." He had said as he got ready for a strike from her, that he had thought would never happen.

Artica's expression immediately closed itself off, and her eyes were guarded. Her entire stance shifted, and she hoped Varnis recognised that he'd made an enemy for life.
"I will not stand idly by and be insulted by a Healer with his head too far up his a** to see that it is far far better to be my ally then my enemy," Artica snarled, and her magic crackled around her.

Varnis had reached behind him, and pulled out his white oak staff, and twirled it, then standing it up next to him. "I see that you think us as enemies, thne so let it be. But one of these days, you will need my help, and I may or may not heal you. I am not going to stick around any longer to see what happens." He said as he walked off to the two fighters that where just standing there.
"So, we better get the snakes corpse for Luxran's sister, so she doesn't die." He had said to the two that just stood there.
((Hahaha... Shadayo, you're character is perfect for what I have planned for when you hit level 10.))

Needless to say, Artica was less then thrilled at the blatent disrespect. She considered setting his cloak on fire, just because she could, and it would be funny, but reasoned that it would be a complete waste of energy. (( whee Sounds evil! twisted lol! So... I'm wondering what I should do now, because I'm not sticking around Varnis for one more second! scream ... No offense. rofl ))

((Well you could go an try to solo a snake or two, but you will really need to look for them. Also you need to really look for a snake. One wont just pop out of no where. But don't go behind the Inn, because the Inn is where I am trying to get the other two to go, but they are not here... Log on please...))

((I know but it was just for a random encounter. They will happen, but since you have no need to kill anything, there will be no snakes. I just wanted to see what you would do if you where looking for something.))
