((Now House and Wilson, assuming makes an a** of you and me xP))

His eyes gleamed as Houses eyes met his with that cloudy gaze. Though his heart ached to see House in pain, it also fluttered just being next to him. No matter how damaged House was, inside he knew that House possessed great strength. He knew how much it pained House to be seen this way, but Wilson never gave it a second thought. He cared, but only cause he loved House, friend or lover. To see House recover from the pain with a smile made him grin as well and even chuckle slightly. Slipping his hand in his pocket, he brushed against Houses letter before pulling the keys out. They twirled slightly on his finger before he locked them in his hands grip.

"I think I can manage." he replied with a smile, showing that he didn't really find it a chore.

He began to walk toward the car, his eyes lost in thought. There had not been an idea that he would be staying over at Houses apartment, it worried him slightly. It seemed the universe was not going to make this any easier on him, he would always be put in risky situations with House. Normally though, he always ended up sleeping on Houses couch in the past, so this made things no different. As long as things stayed the same as before, it would be easier to put this love behind him. The more he thought on it, the harder it was becoming. Sure, he kept thinking things would get easier and then he was proven wrong before the day was even over. He was positive that it would turn for the better once he found a boyfriend to keep him occupied.

Soon, he was at his cars driver side door. Pressing the button he unlocked both ends. He sat inside and buckled himself in, waiting for House to get settled. Once both of them were, he started the engine and drove out of the parking lot and out of the hospitals sight. There was a small amount of silence before Wilson spoke up.

"I hope you didn't think I was avoiding you...it's just been a rough day and I'm worn out." he said with a smile, "wouldn't mind falling asleep to a video though." he continued, eyes glancing over slightly to House for a response.

House shifted in his seat getting comfortable. He was glad to have the ride home, he could barely see straight. It wasn't just the pain, House had taken to many vicodin today. He sat in the silence with thoughts racing through his head. Was it that hard to believe that Wilson cared for him? It was in his eyes, he knew Wilson cared, but how much did he care? That was the main question, but he would have to worry about that some other time. Thats when Wilson decided to break the silence, House had been starring out the window.

He looked back at Wilson and smiled slightly. "Its perfectly okay if you were avoiding me, if I could I would." He looked back out the window and continued, "And I'm sure you wont even make it through the first movie." He grinned slightly, he had ideas of mischeif in his mind but Wilson didn't get to see the grin because of House's position.

Wilson sighed softly, House saying that only made him feel worse. His eyes continued to glance out on the road as he listened. Everything House was assuming was not true, he was happy to spend time with him. He was hoping that House would not keep feeling different since Wilson told him his true feelings. There was not much of a silence before Wilson turned his attention toward House.

"I mean it..I was not avoiding you. Bet you I will make it until half way into the second." he replied, moving his eyes back to the road.

At least, he was not meaning to avoid him. Maybe apart of him was trying, but a stronger part was not letting him. He refused to let this friendship change because of these feelings, especially since once he gets a boyfriend things will go back to normal faster. Sure, House might obsess over it a little, just like all of his girlfriends. But those women kept his mind off House much more then when he was alone, though he always thought him thinking of House was just friendly until now. Houses apartment began to rise in the distance, he could see it coming up to his left. As he pulled into the parking lot he yawned while he parked in an available space.

House smiled almost sadly, "Jimmy," He said because he knew that Wilson enjoyed being called by name. "I know your nervous around me, its my fault, I shouldn't have done what I did in the parking lot." He lets a hand hover over his shoulder, House wasn't much for casual touching but he brought his hand down and patted Wilson on the shoulder. "If I would have known for sure that it would make you uncomfortable I wouldn't have done it..." He paused for a moment and laughed, "Okay so I might have done it anyway just to screw with you."

House smiled a bit more lightly, "Now lets go to my apartment and pig out on pizza and watch movies." House nearly almost always ordered out, mainly because he sucked at cooking. He opened his door and got out with a little assistance by leaning on the door. Once out he grabbed his cane and shut the door. He leaned against the car to wait for Wilson.

((*has a new pet mouse named Stacy McQueen, House fans should know what that means, a female Steve* ;3))

Wilson smiled warmly, leaving the silence that would have House assume he agreed even if he didn't. The kiss could not have made him uncomfortable, it was amazing and House had barely done anything really. After all, the kiss was just an extended peck on the lips. Even being nothing at all, it gave him feelings all over his body, that was the problem. It was not the fact he was kissed, but what it made him feel. The kiss was what made him realized that he was actually in love with House. So silently, he denied Houses words to be true.

He nodded to Houses invitation as he turned the car off. His eyes glanced over to make sure House was alright, the more he had spasms of pain the more Wilson worried. Did he take any vicodin, it might have come in handy at the moment. Still gazing worriedly, he stepped out of the car and closed the door. It was silent for only a few moments as they walked to the door before Wilson asked.

"You think you should take a pill?....you seem to be in a worse amount of pain then normal." he replied, not liking Houses addiction but he figured it was best to put it to good use.

House looked at Wilson, usually he didn't advise him to take medication. They had reached his door and he was digging in his pocket for his key. He looked up at Wilson out of the corner of his eye, "I'm fine....I've probably taken too many..." He muttered it slightly. House got a certain joy out of Wilson's caring nature to him. Wilson seemed to be a wife to him, he cooked for him if he asked and he did occasionally try to take care of him. "I guess I've taken more then I have today but maybe I'm trying to ease off of it." He laughed slightly after the statement, remembering the pain of withdraw.

He finally found his key and opened the door and hobbled in. His apartment was a mess, there was dirty clothes strewn about. He walked into the kitchen, "Hey Jimmy, want a beer?" He said grabbing two out of the fridge in case. He went to the phone and hit the speed dial, he ordered a meat lovers pizza and garlic bread. He walked back into the living room hobbling slightly.

Wilson gazed at House, concerned for his health. It was a rare occasion that House would even admit to having too many. Normally, House considered the bottle a normal dose, or he pretended anyway. Though if he had the courage to admit it to him, maybe he would actually cut back slightly, that would make Wilson feel better. He stood patiently at the door as House fiddled for the key, there was a slightly chill that surrounded him, so he folded his jacket over his front. The door opened and Wilson’s eyes grew at how messy the room was. Clothes were scattered over every inch of the floor and he nearly fainted seeing what he assumed was a week old pizza box and crust to match. Sometimes he just missed being able to clean his friends place, it was slightly embarrassing to see his friend living a rather lazy life-style time to time. While House disappeared around the corner to the kitchen, Wilson grabbed a shirt and placed it over his arm.

“Sure.” he called back, picking up a pair of socks, tongue sticking out, simply revolting.

To the sound of House speaking over the phone, Wilson picked up a pile of clothes with haste. Even if he was disturbed by the sight, he didn’t want House to be too offended, but he would be on edge if he didn’t clean it, even if only tenuously. Now that he was enveloped in cleaning, the sound of Houses footsteps entering the room went unheard. As he shifted to pick up something near the couch, his eyes grazed upward, meeting with Houses eyes as he stood up. There was a bundle of Houses dirty laundry resting in his arms, a free hand grabbing one of the beers from Houses hand. Hopefully, House knew there was a slight compulsion to clean the room, but could House really blame him?

House watched Wilson clean with slight amusement. When he took his beer House laughed lightly. "Wilson, if you must clean, go ahead. Oh and by the way I do have several dishes in the kitchen." He grinned at Wilson teasing him a bit for his need to clean. When Wilson cleaned for him he thought it was kind of cute. It was a very married couple thing to do. House flopped down onto the couch and winced slightly but turned it into a smile. He kicked up his feet on his table, watching Wilson and waiting for him to come and join him on the couch.

The movie was already in the vcr, and the t.v. was on a sports channel but House wasn't paying any attention to it. He was admiring Wilson's features, his body's curve and his nice a**. House shook his head slightly and turned his attention back to the t.v.. He knew he shouldn't be looking at Wilson like that.

He just grinned at the invitation to his kitchen to clean more. For now though, he just wanted to rest. Though he was going to keep it in mind for later, House sure needed someone to pick up this place. With a quick twist of his wrist, he popped the cap off of the bottle and placed it on the coffee table. He followed House onto the couch and propped his feet on the table as well. His feet lay crossed, though the style differed from Houses, leaving one of his feet close to Houses. Now in a relationship, he could have played a round of footsie, but all he did was shake it off and looked toward the television.

“I will, but maybe after a movie.” he replied, taking a sip of his beer.

Leaning back, he allowed himself to sink into the cushions. Now he was surrounded in comfort as he rested his beer besides him on the small table at the end of the couch. He scanned the room before spotting a blanket over the top of the couch. He pulled it down before covering his waist with it. Depending on if the movie was actually entertaining; he was planning to fall asleep on the couch. Turning slightly to House, he smiled waiting for him to turn on the movie. He felt warm all over, this beat going to a bar or home alone. He moved one of his arms to rest behind his head before turning back to the television to watch the movie.

House looked over to Wilson, as he was getting nice and comfortable on his couch. He smiled and just nodded to his comment. He pressed a button on the remote to turn on the movie. Its title sequence left much to be desired but House was quite entertained. The cheesier the movie the better for House. He became submerged in the movie mainly because he wanted to think of something other then Wilson. An actor came on screen challenging an opponent to a battle of honor or something along those lines.

Subconciously House streched his arm out along the couch. His hand rested near Wilson's shoulder, in fact it just brushed it lightly. But he was to into his own mind and perhaps the movie. He had seen this movie and it was one of his favorites. So his lips moved to some of the lines, until he brought his bottle of beer to his lips to take a sip.

The movie grew on Wilson as it went on, it even kept him awake and aware. He had to hold back few chuckles as he watched the off set of lips to speech dialogue. Aside from that, it actually had a plot to it and he tried to follow it, since on occasion his eyes would flutter. His body heat bounced from the blanket back to his body, keeping him feeling toasty as he melted into the couch. On occasions he would sip the beer, though it was rare enough that the flavor slowly flattened. Eventually, he grew tired of the taste of flat alcohol, so he leaned forward to set it on the table and ignore it the rest of the night. Leaning back, something startled him slightly not soon after he rested against the couch.

Turning his head slightly, he watched Houses eyes focus on the screen. He could see the reflections in those mirror-like eyes. His mouth mimicked the voice-overs in perfect sync, Wilson smiled at how cute it was to see how enveloped House became. It seemed that House was comfortable sitting there; maybe he felt the same comfort he was enduring. Just trying to figure out what was going on in Houses head was a reason he was interested in him. When he figured something out, or better when House would share them with him, it made him feel connected. With those thoughts running through his head, he leaned back against the couch watching the film. His shoulder brushed against Houses once more, keeping slight contact with it as he relaxed feeling the sparks of Houses touch against him.

Towards the end of the movie House began to nod off. His eyes were shut and his breathing was shallow. But his sleep wasn’t peaceful, his eyes were restless beneath his eyelids. He was dreaming of his past relationships, how his every attempt at having a healthy friendship or relationship failed. He even moaned slightly, he was pained both emotionally and physically. His own moan seemed to wake him with a start and all he did was take a sip of beer and hope he hadn’t broken out in a sweat. He looked over at Wilson out of the corner of his eye, hoping to God that he was either asleep or so into the movie that he hadn’t noticed House’s moan. He knew his dream did not only have failed relationships, it held the promise of new ones. But they were relationships that couldn’t be pursued. He looked back to the TV.

As he looked back to the TV, the doorbell rang. The pizza was here, he struggled slightly to get out of his comfortable position but he got to the door with his wallet in hand to pay for the pizza. The delivery boy was some pimple-faced kid who expected a tip and only got a door in the face. He should know better, House was sure there was rumors about him among the delivery services. He grinned slightly and set the pizza and garlic bread on the table for them both to enjoy.

Wilson kept his eyes on the screen, not leaving it until he heard the doorbell. Looking from the door to House, he was annoyed to let House move at all. But, to keep a low profile, he lifted his head to give House more room to take back his hand. Though when Houses face was turned away from him, he threw his head back against the couch, pissed at the random teen for disturbing them. The fact he brought pizza though provided some forgiveness, mainly from Wilsons’ stomach. He could not help but chuckle as House just paid the kid before shutting the door.

“It feels nice destroying self-esteem of hard working teens right House?” he asked in a sarcastic tone.

He was mainly joking, but he did feel sorry for the kid to a point. But once the pizza was in front of him, he stood from the couch, heading into the kitchen to get plates. It didn’t take long for him to return with two plates and returning to his spot. With one hand, he tossed the box open and grabbed at two slices with the other. After he set those, he reached for the bread sticks and placed three next to the pizza. That should be plenty; he was not planning on gorging on greasy food. Before he got too comfortable, he turned to House.

“Oh, you want another beer?” he asked, planning on getting his own.

Though he didn’t want this to become a habit, House becoming a lazy slob of a husband-like friend was the last thing he wanted. He ignored the voice saying that he would not mind House being his husband, but not a lazy one.

House looked towards Wilson as he got the plates and served himself. House reached to take his own slice and placed it on the plate although he would've been just as happy to eat it without a plate. He shrugged slightly, he was fine with Wilson getting him a beer, it was a friendly thing to do, right? He had gotten Wilson his beer before and now he was repaying the favor. House just walked to the kitchen himself and opened the fridge, "Its alright, I was already up..."

Why couldn't he have just let him get the beer? Did it mean something? Did it make him feel as though Wilson was waiting on him? He had never had a problem with it before. Was he subconciously nervous that Wilson liked him too? House was reading to much into a simple friendly gesture. He simply reached into the fridge and grabbed a beer and put one on the counter for Wilson. House needed to get out of his own head for a while, even the movie couldn't distract him. Maybe music could get Wilson off his mind.

Wilson was about to get up again, before House moved into the kitchen, so he leaned back against the couch. As he opened the sauces for the bread, he yawned slightly. Looking to the clock, he saw it read to be 11:12 pm. With all the things happening today, it had been a long day. At this rate he was going to lose his bet to stay up until half into the second movie. Hopefully the hunger in his stomach would keep him awake. To keep himself occupied, he took a bite of the pizza before opening the beer House gave him. One swig washed down the pizza in his mouth. Something in the air didn’t feel right, he looked at House curiously. He couldn’t help but feel that something was on Houses mind and it was bothering him. Instead of pestering, even if that is what he wanted to do, he just looked to the remote.

“You want to finish the movie?” he asked, seeing if House would turn it back on.
