It looked terrible from what I saw in previews. A wholely unfunctional basis for a storyline, based on a shitty B-list musical that was absolutely terrible to begin with.
The way to make a good movie based on a shitty movie is to parody it. But when you try to make a movie based on a shitty move that's already supposed to be parodying something, you're working with handfuls of sewage.

I think I was actually offended when I first saw the previews for it, being a fan of the REPO! opera.
I'll probably watch it if it ever shows up on Netflix's instant play, but other than that... no.
Speaking of REPO!... *pops it in to watch*

That sucks. I liked REPO too and was hoping this would be good, but damn. 23% ? Ouch.
And according to RT there's s**t worth watching right now in theaters, aside from maybe Shutter Island. I always go by the RT community, never the critics. Critics hate everything good and like all the stupid crap.

Stuff like that. Me either, actually. I got dragged to it with extreme pessimism and was charmed in about 8 minutes. Wonderful film. Still trying to figure out why people were so divided over it. There's a lot of great movies out for rental now though. 500 days of summer, an education, whip it, astroboy, fantastic mr fox, up in the air, hurt locker, serious man, the informant, and other stuff I'm forgetting. D=
