In the kitchen Robin quickly busied herself with making a treat. It wasn't hard the kitchen was well stocked. Taking a deep breath she started cooking. Working quickly and silently she wondered why Dark Mao was so against the Captain. Once done she started down the hall with a small batch of cookies she was going to give Mao to maybe cheer him up.
Ai giggled and gave the monk a little blush. "Oh you are to kind," Sitting up she stretched as well as her wings. She was still straddling him for they hadn't moved from when she fell upon him. Blushing madly now she didn't know what to say. but she moved of quickly.

Miroku was blushing but quickly smiled "Ai what do you say we go and look out at the sky till we arrive?"

"Or will there?" Temari said with a playfully sinister smirk. "Maybe after this child, we won't have 'mommy-daddy time' ever again..." She said as she chuckled lightly to herself, patting his chest lightly as she placed her other hand over the one he had placed on her stomach.

Ai nodded only to embarrassed to really speak. She took his hand and started towards the door.

Ruki XXIII The older Jack noticed he had gone quite a ways away, and sighed. Apparently, he had been that thick-headed. What could he do to get himself to stop hating him?
...
This was certainly going to take a while to figure out... Little Jack looked around realizing they were all gone feeling uncomfortable and a bit insecurely. But he wouldn't show it, he wouldn't show any weakness towards anyone. Fine, he thought, if no one wants to team up with me then I won't want team up with anyone! He kept telling himself this as he walked out of the training room heading back to the deck.

Oomizu still slept soundly in the empty crow's nest, thankful for the clear night.
Deidara roamed around the deck of the ship, keeping his usual scowl on his face as he inspected everything. He wasn't all that tired, but even if he had been he probably wouldn't have slept much any ways. After all, Naruto had just stopped threatening his life every 10 minutes, but who was to say Naruto wouldn't get bored and try to use Deidara as a target practice?

Kain heard someone come back up to the deck, and turned his head to see a very disgruntled looking young Spicer. "Your training with the young girl not go well, I take it?" he guessed. The boy did look tired, though, so he figured he must have been doing something.

The young albino looked to the vampire. "The training?...Oh, yeah, sure...the training...it was ok...never mind..." he said trying to surppress his feelings.

Kain paused for a moment, expression unchanging. "Something else is troubling your mind, then," he decided. It wasn't a question; simply an observation. "You would do well to find someone you can confide in," he advised, turning to face the front again. "No human can go through life keeping all of his problems to himself. They are simply not made that way."

"H-how could you possibly know that?...I-I mean...since you are a vampire and not a human..." Little Jack said insecurely as he approached the lord vampire slowly. Even his wise way to speak reminded the younger Jack on his evil hero Chase young.

"I may be vampire now, but I was human," Kain explained. "Vampires cannot be born, only created. Risen, from slain humans."

Little Jack stopped suddenly as Kain used the words 'slain humans'. But remembered the next second that this was the way vampires used to exist. At least that was what he had seen in a Dracula movie once. Nevertheless he remained standing there. "I-I see..." he finally said trying to calm down by reminding himself of the way evil usually worked.

"It isn't a curse?...You mean it is even a gift to be a vampire?..." Little Jack asked approaching the vampire again.

"Any vampire sees it as such," Kain replied. "However, it as a little of both. The vampire race is an ancient one, and did not always feed on blood. They also were not immortal. Another race was at war with them, and, before being banished, they cursed the ancients. Made them immortal to take them out of their Wheel of Fate, which was the basis for their religion. Gave them their blood lust to force them to kill the humans they had loved. The vampires of now are a far cry from what they once were. I see this all as improvements, however. Why would I want to embrace death?"
((Disclaimer thingy; haven't played Defiance in forever, so I'm not really sure if Kain actually knew all this and not just Raziel. However, I don't really give a damn. xp lol))
